Facebook Like widget for your website. SUBSCRIBE.

This is from your Facebook business page.
Right now
I'm on one of my client's actual business page, helping get them set up. And what we're going to do is we're going to go over and look for the actual Facebook Like widget that you can put on your business website.
So what we're going to do first and foremost is hit the
Edit Page.
Once we get to the Edit page, we're going to scroll down to Resources over here on the left side.
And then we're going to scroll down a little bit to Use social plugins. We're going to click that.
The Like Button is the first thing we have here at the top. And you can see that on this page, that on the social plugins, there are a ton of other ones that you could definitely use and leverage for your business, such as the
Send Button, the Subscribe Button, Comments,
Activity Feed and so on and so forth.
But we're interested in the
Like Button so let's click on that. This is a really good explanation as to what the Like Button does. The Like button lets a user share your content with friends on Facebook. When the user clicks the
Like button on your site, a story appears in the user's friends'
News Feed with a link back to your website. And that's very important because the average person on Facebook has about 130 friends. So your link will actually show up on their News
Feed.
Step one is to get the Like button. So what we're going to do is we're going to set up the Like button and configure everything for our client right here. So I'm going to type in their
URL with the http://. And then you have the option to have the actual Send button if you want. I'm not going to use the Send button. I just want the Like button.
Layout Style: standard, button count, box count. I'm going to go with the box count. I like that.
Do I want to
Show Faces or not? You can show profile pictures below the button. I'm going to choose No, so I'm going to unselect that. I'm going to check the Verb to display, either like or recommend. I like like, so I'm going to leave that as what's going to show up on the actual button.
Color Scheme, I can choose between light and dark.
Font, I can choose many different fonts. There are six, I think, here. They're all pretty much the same when you take a look at it, in terms of like the word like or recommend on the actual button, so it's personal preference. And then you go ahead and you Get
Code.
What's going to happen here is you can see
HTML5, XFBML and
IFRAME. Depending on which code you need, you just
Copy and Paste from here. And instructions are here so if your web designer needs HTML5 or XFBML or IFRAME, you can go ahead and pick your code right here. Then you just click
Okay. Copy and Paste wherever you need to.
Again, your designer should know what to do
And then it does say that
Step two is Get
Open Graph Tags and I would follow through with this as well. So the
Title of the entity. This is basically how it recognizes who this button is for. So let me type that in. The
Type, this is actually a website, so we're going to click website. Did you see all those different options you had there? A ton of different options. And this is the Type of entity it is. The URL for the entity, so we're going to go back to that http://.
Image, don't need an image, the image that represents the entity.
The Site name, not worried about that quite yet.
And I'm going to Get Tags. Basically what this says is just place this in your header so that everything is
A-OK and links up back with Facebook. It says right here you do want to place this into your header. And this is something that you will actually be able to share with your web designer and your web developer if you're not doing this yourself. That is where you go to set up your Facebook Like box for your website or any other entity you'd like to have a Like box for.
Thanks and have a great day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DI843dgO9eY
