NAMES LIST ASSIGNMENT I. I WANT TO HAVE A CONTEST a. Get out paper & pencil b. I’m going to Give everyone 4 minutes c. Write down the 1st name of everyone you can think of d. Rules are: Living, breathing & human e. No age limit/ No matter where live ---GO!--- a. Go thru how many they got b. (Should have at least 60-70 for highest) c. That was just a few minutes – Imagine if I gave you 30 minutes? d. if I gave you 1 hour & let you see something like personal directory or yearbook…? II. WHO REMEMBERS AVERAGE ORDER? a. Cutco is not empathy item like Girl Scout cookies are b. People don’t but B/C they know you – People will buy Cutco, but not B/C they know you c. Why will they? – (Great product/ guaranteed) III. IS THERE ANYTHING WROMG W/ DOING BUSINESS W/ PEOPLE YOU KNOW? a. Not if it’s a good product b. Isn’t that how Hairdresser/Contractor/Doctor/Lawyer start? c. (Ask) If started restaurant would you tell people? d. Not if you were serving dog food but if you sold the best food in the world, whom would you tell? e. We have the best product in the world f. People you know will buy B/C they trust you & why else? IV. YOU SHOULD AT LEAST SHOW CUTCO TO EVRYONE YOU KNOW a. If they buy, get great deal B/C how long will they own it? b. If they don’t buy it you still get paid c. I’d feel silly if someone I knew bought CUTCO from another Rep d. If they are going to buy it might as well be from you V. PEOPLE WON’T BUY IT B/C THEY KNOW YOU BUT WHAT WILL THEY LET YOU DO JUST B/C THEY KNOW YOU? a. They will let you practice b. Practice is the best part of the program c. You can go slow/ mess up/ get REALLY good before you show your leads d. People you know will want to buy, not your fault, Cutco is awesome. e. When that happens, what will that do to your confidence? Average 18 yr old already knows 1000 people by name b. Ever see = Plan wedding? Hard part not coming up = Taking off list VII. WHAT WE DID EARLIER WAS A THOUGHT JOGGING EXERCISE a. Did you notice how names came to you in groups? b. That’s the way we categorize things = 1 name triggers 3-4 more VIII. ASSIGNMENT TONIGHT a. Most important assignment you will ever do in Vector b. Write down as many names and numbers as you can. c. Write down people you could potentially practice with, not just people you are definitely going to see. The more you have on your list, the more selective you can be. d. Also, each name you write down, regardless as to whether you can practice with them right away, will trigger names you weren’t originally thinking of. e. You can use things to help you think f. Use yearbook, Church directory, Personal directory, Work directory, Photo Album (you’ld be amazed at how many people you forgot you knew by going through family photo albums). g. You can use an address book. I used my mom’s address book, I figured if she knew them, I knew them. Right?  h. The only Criteria is that the people are over _____ and working full time. New Section of Names List I want to take a minute to get you started on your assignment right now. This will save a ton of time later, since I’m sure some of you have other things going on after training today. To get your assignment started, turn to page 22 of your training manual: PEOPLE TO SEE page I’d like you to write the names of the people you wrote down that are over ____ and working full time onto page 22. If you circled your friends’ names, you can write down either your friend’s name, or their parents’ names on page 22. Now if you are like me when I was in training, you probably put down the names of a lot of your friends and people that are under ____. That’s okay, if you have ever met their parents…even once, write them on page 22. When you’re ready, I can teach you a real cool way to contact them without it feeling weird. Let them write for a couple minutes until it looks like a couple of them are done. How many of you have at least 5 people on your list??? That’s all you really need to work full time here, forever. So if you didn’t come up with a lot of names that’s ok. 5 names will give you more than enough work once we teach you how to get leads. Ok, now I’m going to go through a list of ideas and anyone you think of that you know that fits the category I mention, add them to page 22. I want you to keep an open mind. You may not be able to practice with them right away, but write them down anyway.
