I thought I’d share something a bit different today. I know it’s been a while since I did a "mash up” so I decided I would just test out some of the sounds my new Nord Stage 2 has to offer.
This was NOT something I was able to practice, and its purely for the benefit of showcasing the sound of the instrument (i.e. sorry for the bad mistakes in my playing !) - so its very much impromptu !
Some of these sounds have been downloaded from the Nord User Forums website (www.norduserforums.com) so i thank the people who created some of these awesome sounds, the majority however were on board when i purchased the Nord.
Please let me know what you think anyway, I generally like feedback (positive though :)

The Nord Stage 2 does not have its own speakers - what you hear on this video is a direct feed from the keyboard mixed with the mic in front of me just for speech - I'm monitoring what I'm playing in an ear piece. Most of the music I play is me improvising, except for a snippet of "Love Song" by Sara Bareilles and a bit of "Jump" by Van Halen. Enjoy!

➜ La Corée du Nord — en coréen Puk Chosŏn, 북조선 (hangul), 北朝鮮 (hanja) — en forme longue la République populaire démocratique de Corée (RPDC) (en coréen 조선민주주의인민공화국 (hangul), 朝鮮民主主義人民共和國 (hanja)), est un État qui couvre la partie nord de la péninsule coréenne située en Asie orientale. La capitale du pays est Pyongyang. Elle est limitrophe de la Chine (1 416 km de frontières communes) au nord et de la Russie au nord-est (19 km de frontières), ainsi que de la République de Corée au sud (238 km de frontières). Cette dernière frontière méridionale est bordée de part et d'autre sur 2 km de largeur par la zone démilitarisée (DMZ), qui est en réalité très fortement militarisée, car surveillée au total par plus d'un million de soldats. Le Japon, proche voisin maritime, est séparé de la Corée du Nord par la mer du Japon. Le pays comptait 24 589 122 habitants en 2012. Dirigée par la seule dynastie communiste de l'Histoire, la Corée du Nord est un État à parti unique avec un « Front uni » mené par le Parti du travail de Corée (KWP). L'idéologie officielle du pays est le Juche doctrine basée sur l'autosuffisance développée par Kim Il-sung, fondateur du régime. Après la mort de ce dernier en 1994, Kim Jong-Il, son fils, lui a succédé à la tête de l’État mais non en tant que Président de la République, cette fonction étant restée « éternellement » rattachée à la personne de Kim Il-sung4,5. Après la dislocation de l'URSS et une série de catastrophes naturelles, la Corée du Nord a subi une famine faisant de 900 000 à 2 millions de morts6,7. Kim Jong-Il adopte alors la politique du Songun ou « l'armée d'abord » afin de renforcer le pays et le gouvernement. Ce régime communiste, de type stalinien, fonctionne selon une logique totalitaire ; il mobilise un culte de la personnalité autour de Kim Il-sung et a l'un des plus bas niveaux de droits de l'homme au monde15. But in both cases he is deluded by the partisan bands and discovers that the partisan war is less poetic and genuine that he thought. At one point anyway the partisans free Alba from Germans. When the city falls again in German hands Johnny escape with Ettore and Pierre. But, one after another, German army and Italian fascists captures the partisans and Johnny will pass the winter alone and isolated. He then finds the way to participate to one of the last attack to occupants, in fact the war will be over two months later.

I thought I’d share something a bit different today. I know it’s been a while since I did a "mash up” so I decided I would just test out some of the sounds my new Nord Stage 2 has to offer. This was NOT something I was able to practice, and its purely for the benefit of showcasing the sound of the instrument (i.e. sorry for the bad mistakes in my playing !) - so its very much impromptu ! I thought I’d share something a bit different today. I know it’s been a while since I did a "mash up” so I decided I would just test out some of the sounds my new Nord Stage 2 has to offer.
This was NOT something I was able to practice, and its purely for the benefit of showcasing the sound of the instrument (i.e. sorry for the bad mistakes in my playing !) - so its very much impromptu !
Some of these sounds have been downloaded from the Nord User Forums website (www.norduserforums.com) so i thank the people who created some of these awesome sounds, the majority however were on board when i purchased the Nord.

Après la mort de ce dernier en 1994, Kim Jong-Il, son fils, lui a succédé à la tête de l’État mais non en tant que Président de la République, cette fonction étant restée « éternellement » rattachée à la personne de Kim Il-sung4,5. Après la dislocation de l'URSS et une série de catastrophes naturelles, la Corée du Nord a subi une famine faisant de 900 000 à 2 millions de morts6,7. Kim Jong-Il adopte alors la politique du Songun ou « l'armée d'abord » afin de renforcer le pays et le gouvernement.

Hi all, we decided that we should compare 2 products which are renowned as the top of their respective range, even though the products are originally targeted at different users.
The Nord Stage 2 is one of the most popular stage pianos in the world and famous for its red finish and hands on controls. The Korg Kronos is famous for its sound and workstation capabilities but it is not as well known as a live instrument like the Nord.
We feel the Kronos has a huge amount to offer in terms of live use and has many benefits that people may not be aware of so we compare the 2 products more as live instruments. The Kronos is a similar price band to the Nord Stage 2 so it compares directly as a live product especially with all the hands on controls and live switching with no sound glitch.
