"Throw It on Me" is a song performed by American producer, songwriter and rapper Timbaland, taken from his second studio album Shock Value (2007). The song is performed as a collaboration between Timbaland and Swedish garage rock band The Hives. It was written by Timbaland, Attitude and Randy Fitzsimmons, while production and instrumentation were helmed by Timbaland.

The song was made available for download in Australia on August 4, 2007. "Throw It on Me" utilizes disco and rock genres while incorporating dance and hip hop flavored beats. Contemporary music critics viewed it as one of the better rock tracks on Shock Value, although they were collectively criticized as falling short of expectations. The single ultimately flopped in Australia, spending only one week on the singles chart at number fifty.

The Hives

The Hives are a Swedish rock band that rose to prominence in the early 2000s during the garage rock revival. Their mainstream success came with the release of the album Veni Vidi Vicious, containing the anthem "Hate to Say I Told You So". The band received praise for their energetic live shows, and have been acclaimed by music critics as one of the best live rock bands in current music.

The Hives have released five studio albums: Barely Legal (1997), Veni Vidi Vicious (2000), Tyrannosaurus Hives (2004), The Black and White Album (2007) and Lex Hives (2012). They have one compilation album, Your New Favourite Band (2001) and they have issued a live DVD, Tussles in Brussels (2005).

History

Beginnings of the Hives (1989-1999)

The band claims it was formed in 1993 (although formed in 1989 under a different name and sound) under the guidance of Randy Fitzsimmons. Fitzsimmons suggested that they form a garage rock band. He gave each band member a letter asking them to start the band. Fitzsimmons allegedly acts as a songwriter and manager for the band. The band recorded a demo titled Sounds Like Sushi in 1994. The following year they were signed to Burning Heart, a Swedish skate punk record label. The following year they released their debut EP Oh Lord! When? How? Almqvist decided to promote the band to Burning Heart.

Tony Ricca

Tom Ricca (born June 7, 1968) is an American professional wrestler, better known by the ring names Tony Ricca and The Pharaoh. He is also the promoter of the New Jersey-based promotion AKW Arena Kaged Wrestling.

Professional wrestling career

Early career

Tom Ricca grew up in Hammonton, New Jersey. He trained as a wrestler under Larry Sharpe at the Monster Factory and debuted in November 1990 as one half of the tag team called "The Hammonton Hitmen", with tag team partner Leo Petetti. His debut was an event that help benefit the troops that were serving in the Gulf War. After his debut, Ricca was asked to work independently as "The Hammonton Hitman".

World Wrestling Federation

In July 1991, Ricca was asked to wrestle for the World Wrestling Federation. Ricca's WWF Superstars of Wrestling debut as Tony Ricca was on July 29, 1991, against Hacksaw Jim Duggan at the Worcester Centrum in Worcester, Massachusetts. This was a TV taping that aired nationally on August 31, 1991, on Network Television commentated by WWE owner Vince McMahon and Roddy Piper.

Nef the Pharaoh

Nef the Pharaoh (born January 11, 1995) is an American rapper from Vallejo, California . Early in his career he collaborated with fellow Vallejo, California artists such as E-40, and in 2014 he was selected by fans as the "Bay Area Freshman of the Year" in a yearly contest held by Thizzler.com. In early 2015, his track "Big Tymin'" became a regional hit, with a music video released shortly after Nef the Pharaoh signed with Sick Wid It Records. "Big Tymin'" was remixed by YG and Ty Dolla $ign in July 2015, and his self-titled debut EP was released on Sick Wid It on November 6, 2015. He has performed live on radio stations such as KMEL-FM and Power 106, and is currently working on a full-length debut album titled My Great Impression, to be released on his own imprint KILFMB.

Early life

Tonee Hayes was born in 1995 in Vallejo, California, where he was raised. He was rapping by the age of four, which led to him winning a talent contest around that time and being featured on the cover of the Vallejo Times-Herald. Hayes has cited Vallejo rappers like Mac Dre and E-40 as significant influences on his style, as well as inspiration to pursue rap as a career. He was given the nickname Nef (short for nephew) from his uncle, which he incorporated into part of his stage name. When his grandmother died in 2009, he stepped away from music for a time. However, he states he soon began using music as a form of therapy.
