The Shit is an unreleased studio album by Hip hop duo, 2nd II None originally set for release in 1994 on Profile Records but was shelved and later leaked in 2008. The album is executive produced by Suge Knight and produced by DJ Quik.

Deuce (The D.O.C. album)

Deuce is the third studio album by West Coast Dallas rapper The D.O.C., and the second since the car accident which severely damaged his larynx. The only single released from Deuce was "The Shit", which features fellow former-N.W.A. members MC Ren and Ice Cube, along with Snoop Dogg and Six-Two.

The album was originally meant to be a Six-Two album, completely produced by Dr. Dre and released through Aftermath Entertainment. However, D.O.C. and Dre argued over whether D.O.C. should be rapping on the album. The D.O.C.'s presence on this album is minimal however, making an appearance to introduce tracks or perform in skits such as "My Prayer" and "Souliloquy". Deuce focuses primarily on showcasing other artists on D.O.C.'s Silverback Records label, including U.P.-T.I.G.H.T., El Dorado, and in particular, Six-Two.

The song "Simple as That" was released earlier in 2003 on DJ Greg Street's Six O'Clock Vol. 1 mixtape.

Iwo Jima

Iwo To (硫黄島, Iō-tō, "sulfur island"), known in English as Iwo Jima (/ˌiːwoʊ ˈdʒiːmə, ˌiːwə-/ listen ), is an island of the Japanese Volcano Islands chain south of the Ogasawara Islands and together with them form the Ogasawara Archipelago also known as the Bonin Islands. The island of 21 km² (8 square miles) is 1,200 kilometres (750 mi; 650 nmi) south of mainland Tokyo and is administered as part of Ogasawara, one of the eight villages of Tokyo (though it is uninhabited). It is famous as the setting of the February–March 1945 Battle of Iwo Jima between the United States and elements of the British Pacific Fleet versus the Empire of Japan during World War II. The island grew in recognition in the west when the iconic photograph Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima was taken on Mount Suribachi, the highest point at 160 metres (528 feet), during the battle by Associated Press photographer Joe Rosenthal. The U.S. occupied Iwo Jima until 1968 when it was returned to Japan.

Name

It was discovered by Spanish sailor Bernardo de la Torre who named it Sufre Island, after the old Spanish term for sulphur (azufre in modern Spanish). At that time Iwo Jima and other islands were the limit between the Spanish and Portuguese Empires in the far East.

Mishima, Kagoshima

Mishima (三島村, Mishima-mura) is a village consisting of the inhabited islands of Iōjima, Kuroshima and Takeshima and the uninhabited islands of Shōwa Iōjima and Denshima located in Kagoshima District, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. The village office is located in the city of Kagoshima, outside the village.

As of June 2013, the village has an estimated population of 383 and a population density of 12.2 persons per km². The total area is 31.36 km².

The islands of Miura Village are the northernmost of the Ryukyu archipelago, and although now grouped together with the Ōsumi Islands, are physically an extension of the Tokara island arc. All of the islands are the exposed peaks of stratovolcanos rising from the ocean floor, and most are volcanically active.

History

The islands have been inhabited since at least the Jomon period. During historic times, mentioned is made of the islands in the Heike monogatari and the Azuma Kagami, and local legend states that the islands were a refuge for the defeated Heike clan following the Gempei War. During the Edo period, the islands came under the control of the Shimazu clan of Satsuma Domain.
