"This talk is concerning the development of the human condition. The past shows us that we are stronger and far more complex than anyone thought possible. In the world we have been shown many examples of extreme abilities. My talk centers around the events of the early seventeen hundreds where over two thousand people displayed amazing recuperative powers as in being able to be cured of diseases. Out of this three hundred and eleven were impervious to all forms of harm making them the for runners of all the super hero lore that followed. If we are to entertain the thought of a galaxy travel we have to be able to repair our bodies and endure untold hardship. This was taught to us by the watchers of the old testament and other books from ancient times. We can and will discover the secrets of the ancients and one day take our place in the galaxy of societies we know to be out there. My position is we need to defend ourselves and to do so we must conquer our maladies and rise to the level that we all have deep inside us. the miracles of Saint Medard is but one such example of out future destiny." My father had completed his personal observatory with an articulating roof over a hand built 18 inch telescope. The three year project had taken a little help from myself and others, to move each and every part by hand to the top of a hill located at the back of our property, so my father could construct it. One late summer night when the sky was clear and the stars were shining bright my father and I decided it was the perfect night to observe the sky. As he was explaining the history of constellations and the names the ancients had given them I pointed to a glowing light that appeared over Victoria BC. The location of my father’s observatory in Metchosin was placed at the perfect height to see the lights from the city. I innocently asked if that glowing light was a star, when it suddenly began to move to the right, out over the open water of the pacific. My dad answered that was no star and we continued to silently watch it. A few seconds passed when it increased its speed and then performed a sharp 90 degree turn towards us. In a blink of an eye it flew over our heads, curved upwards and we watched it until it disappeared into the stars above. The rate of speed of this UFO was unmatched by anything my Father had seen or heard of before. It was truly a wow moment. My Father commented that the object had flown overhead at probably the same height a single engine Cessna would normally fly. To add to the mystery was the fact there was no sound before it approached us, or after. This was the beginning of both my father’s, and myself in later years, investigating everything that begs to be explained. We both decided that this event was indeed a UFO. Of course that was to us an obvious conclusion, but was it extraterrestrial in nature? Well that is the question. This event spurred on my curiosity to research everything I could about answering the age old question of, are we alone in the universe. My current profession is an Audio Video installer but in my off hours I write and explore the pages of the over 1000 books in my personal library. After my father’s passing, his books have joined the legions of authors who wait patiently to tell me their story. But it is the words my father left me with that guides me most. “Chuck, spend the time to look between the words on the paper. And be sure to investigate both sides of the story for yourself.
