Utah (/ˈjuːtɔː/ or 
i/ˈjuːtɑː/; Navajo: Áshįįh bi Tó Hahoodzo; Arapaho: Wo'tééneihí ) is a state in the western United States. It became the 45th state admitted to the Union on January 4, 1896. Utah is the 13th-largest, the 31st-most populous, and the 10th-least-densely populated of the 50 United States. Utah has a population of nearly 3 million (Census estimate for July 1, 2015), approximately 80% of whom live along the Wasatch Front, centering on Salt Lake City. Utah is bordered by Colorado to the east, Wyoming to the northeast, Idaho to the north, Arizona to the south, and Nevada to the west. It also touches a corner of New Mexico in the southeast.
Approximately 62% of Utahns are reported to be members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or LDS (Mormons), which greatly influences Utah culture and daily life. The world headquarters of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) is located in Utah's state capital, Salt Lake City. Utah is the most religiously homogeneous state in the United States, the only state with a Mormon majority, and the only state with a majority population belonging to a single church.

Murray, Utah
Murray (/ˈmʌri/ or local /ˈmɜːri/) is a city situated on the Wasatch Front in the core of Salt Lake Valley in the U.S. state of Utah. Named for territorial governor Eli Murray, it is the state's fourteenth largest city. According to the 2010 census, Murray has approximately 46,746 residents. Murray is close to Salt Lake City, West Valley City, Sandy and West Jordan, Utah. Once teeming with heavy industry, Murray’s industrial sector now has little trace and has been replaced by major mercantile sectors. Known for its central location in Salt Lake County, Murray has been called the Hub of Salt Lake County. Unlike most of its neighboring communities, Murray operates its own police, fire, power, water, library, and parks and recreation departments and has its own school district. While maintaining many of its own services, Murray has one of the lowest city tax rates in the state.
Thousands of people each year visit Murray City Park for organized sports and its wooded areas. Murray is home to the Intermountain Medical Center, a huge medical campus that is also Murray’s largest employer. Murray has been designated a Tree City USA since 1977.

Low tide conditions across the lower 48 meant we had to get creative and travel for some fun. After a trip up to Mt. Hoodoo we returned to Utah with frightening avy conditions. No better time to attempt to learn how to use our snowmobiles on the flat, open fields in our own back yard. We then had a surprise trip to Park City Powder Cats with the WidSix crew, while the snow was still low we had a blast. Joseph Smith, Jr. was 15 years old when he had his first vision. The Angel MORONI appeared to him and gave him a number of sacred texts that led to the foundation of the Mormon church. A sacred land was established and a settlement created within the desert. The largest sanctuary and centre of the Mormon faith is the Salt Lake Temple. Constructed of stone, its use is restricted to the Mormon religion. It was built between 1853 and 1893 in grey granite New Gothic style with six towers, its main one being 68 metres high. Construction of the Cathedral of the Madeleine began in 1900 and was completed in 1909, a Christian building whose exterior is of Romantic design and with a Gothic interior. Once both faith and diligence established this remarkable place. Since then, Salt Lake City has become the centre of a hugely successful religious empire.

Along the US191, there is a deviation, and the road begins to climb with a series of switchbacks up to the Visitor Center.
Arches National Park is a 'protected area of the United States that preserves over 2,000 natural sandstone arches, including the world-famous Delicate Arch.
The first viewpoint you meet after the Visitor Center is to Park Avenue. From here you can observe very high red rocks that resemble the skyscrapers of New York, hence the name of Park Avenue.
We move to the next viewpoint, the La Sal Mountain Viewpoint. From here we begin to understand how big the park. Also you can see other rock characteristics conformations
We reach now, one of the most famous attractions of the park, once again it will not be an arc but a curiously shaped rock that seems about to fall off a spike, we are at Balanced Rock.
The total height of Balanced Rock is about 39 meters of which only the rock that rests on the base measures approximately 17 meters. By walking around you can see how the perspective and the effect "fall" changes depending on the angle in which you look.
A few years ago, Balanced Rock had a companion, a lot like rock, but much smaller, unfortunately fell during the winter 1975/1976.
Immediately after the Balanced Rock is the Windows Section where you can see up close the first string.
We head to the North and the South Window and then to Turret Arch.
From the parking lot we see the Double Arch.
From the Fiery Furnace viewpoint we observe this magnificent natural labyrinth between the rocks.
The visit to this site is limited and it takes a ranger as a guide.
As a last stop in Arches National Park we go to the Delicate Arch Viewpoint
Delicate Arch is the symbol of the state of Utah.
We would have preferred to get as close as possible to the arc, instead we observe it from a mile away, seeing him so from a broader perspective and equally spectacular

Low tide conditions across the lower 48 meant we had to get creative and travel for some fun. After a trip up to Mt. Hoodoo we returned to Utah with frightening avy conditions. No better time to attempt to learn how to use our snowmobiles on the flat, open fields in our own back yard. We then had a surprise trip to Park City Powder Cats with the WidSix crew, while the snow was still low we had a blast. We finish the episode by going back to the Ranch with lead guide Bob to help discover some potentially new terrain.

In Episode 3 of Higher Unplugged, Jeremy Jones and his fellow athletes travel to Snowbird Resort to refine their mountaineering and rescue skills at the International Pro Riders’ Workshop presented by Teton Gravity Research and ICEdot. Started by TGR and former lead guide, Jim Conway, IPRW has emerged as an essential resource for these athletes. Each December, TGR’s production crew, athletes, and guides spend a week learning and reviewing the skills necessary to safely navigate backcountry terrain and respond to emergencies that may arise within it. With a curriculum that includes rope and rescue skills, snow science, group dynamics, and wilderness first aid, the International Pro Riders’ Workshop helps skiers and snowboarders push further into the backcountry—and safely return from it.
Higher Unplugged takes you behind the scenes of Jeremy Jones’ two-year snowboarding film, Higher. Jones has gathered friends old and new to pass the torch to the next generation of big mountain rippers. His crew for the film includes Bryan Iguchi, Luca Pandolfi, Lucas Merli, Ryland Bell, and others. With these friends, Jeremy leaves tracks on signature lines in the close-to-home playgrounds he's made his own around Jackson Hole and Lake Tahoe. He also makes history with far-flung first descents in the Eastern Alaska Range and the Himalaya of Nepal, where the stakes are as high as the peaks themselves.

The Utah Department of Transportation said a temporary goodbye Saturday night to the pedestrian bridge over Bangerter Highway at 7000 South in West Jordan. UDOT removed the bridge so work on a freeway-style interchange there can move forward. Bangerter Highway was closed in both directions so crews could take it down, but the road has since reopened.
