http://www.upholsterytrainingprograms.com/ The original idea was to create and transform a 'standard car seat' into a 'sport bucket seat'... just by using the same frame and only adding some steel rods and hard foam as a padding to give shape to the desired project. My new bucket seat feels more comfortable. To achieve this 'rustic prototype' I have used an 'artisan way' of doing upholstery...I mean, to develop an upholstery project just by using our basic knowledge of upholstery, basic materials and basic tools...in other words, to take what we have at hand or near us without resorting to complex technologies. If necessary to improve this project, next time, I would like to do it in fiber glass...the seat would be lighter and easier to maneuver...but, always trying to respect the security and comfort a car seat should have. Now, I feel my new bucket seat is more comfortable while driving...the pilot seat base has two small cushions that move upwards and downwards alleviating the tension of my legs.
