Selected Ambient Works 85–92 is the debut album by Anglo-Irish electronic musician Richard D. James, released under the pseudonym of Aphex Twin. The 1992 LP, on the Belgian ambient label Apollo (an imprint of the more prominent R&S Records), was his third release. An analogue remaster was released in 2006, and a digital remaster in 2008. Selected Ambient Works 85–92 was appreciated for its minimalist and atmospheric nature and is considered by many music critics to be one of the greatest albums in ambient, IDM, and electronic music. It has since influenced several electronic artists and was followed by Selected Ambient Works Volume II. On the week ending 27 September 2014, the album entered at #30 in the UK Dance Albums Chart after the release of his 2014 album Syro.
James was born in Limerick, Ireland and grew up in Lanner, Cornwall with two older sisters, in a "very happy" childhood during which they "were pretty much left to do what [they] wanted". He enjoyed living there, feeling apart from nearby cities and the rest of the world. James attended Redruth School in Redruth, Cornwall, and claimed to had won 50 pounds in a competition to make a program that produced sound on a Sinclair ZX81 (a machine with no sound hardware) at age 11. He subsequently created music using a ZX Spectrum and a sampler.
Richard David James (born 18 August 1971), best known by his alias Aphex Twin, is an English electronic musician and composer based in London. He is best known for his influential and idiosyncratic work in electronic music styles such as IDM and ambient techno in the 1990s, for which he won widespread critical acclaim. He is also the co-founder of Rephlex Records with Grant Wilson-Claridge.
Initially releasing acid and techno records as AFX and under other aliases, James's first received widespread acclaim for his 1992 album Selected Ambient Works 85-92 and his subsequent 1993 release Selected Ambient Works Volume II. He rose to mainstream popularity with his 1997 EP, Come To Daddy and his 1999 single "Windowlicker". Taking a 14-year hiatus following the release of his 2001 album Drukqs to mixed reviews, James returned in 2014 with a new album, Syro, earning him critical praise and a win for Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album.

Twins are two offspring produced by the same pregnancy. Twins can either be monozygotic ("identical"), meaning that they can develop from just one zygote that will then split and form two embryos, or dizygotic ("fraternal"), meaning that they can develop from two different eggs; each are fertilized by separate sperm cells.
In contrast, a fetus which develops alone in the womb is called a singleton, and the general term for one offspring of a multiple birth is multiple.
The twin birth rate in the United States rose 76% from 1980 through 2009, from 18.9 to 33.3 per 1,000 births. The Yoruba have the highest rate of twinning in the world, at 45–50 twin sets (or 90–100 twins) per 1,000 live births, possibly because of high consumption of a specific type of yam containing a natural phytoestrogen which may stimulate the ovaries to release an egg from each side.
In Central Africa there are 18–30 twin sets (or 36–60 twins) per 1,000 live births. In Latin America, South Asia, and Southeast Asia, the lowest rates are found; only 6 to 9 twin sets per 1,000 live births. North America and Europe have intermediate rates of 9 to 16 twin sets per 1,000 live births.

You know these were the first videos I uploaded on this account and I mainly intended for them to look cool. My channel has evolved so much since then. . . due mainly to the fact that I now put all of my emphasis towards the highest quality audio and a simple 1080p background image. I've thought about deleting these SAW 1 uploads many times, but people tend to enjoy them so I haven't. I even have a link to a higher quality upload at the beginning of each of these videos, but after spending a few days making it I still found a few problems after it was uploaded. For now I'm just gonna leave everything as it is but please check out my other uploads, especially the newer ones, before dismissing all of my content. I have many songs and playlists from several artists and they truly are HQ audio...
The super-talented, legendary composer/producer Richard D. James, as Aphex Twin, released Heliosphan to the world in 1992 as a track on the double LP "Selected Ambient Works 85-92." A superb example of electronic music, this soulful and expansive piece is as beautiful and as relevant today as it was when it was first released. Here I present a slowed down version... It's as if a record were played at about 2/3 speed, with a bit of compression and reverb. This is one of my favourite songs, and by prolonging and deepening it, I intend to make it a bit more relishable, especially for those who are already familiar with it. I intend no copyright infringement; clearly, this is not a commercial offering. If any representative from the relevant record companies, or of course RDJ himself, asks me...
