Nausea
Nausea refers to an uneasy sensation in the stomach characterized by the urge to vomit. Nausea, usually, is not a disease in itself but a symptom of various other conditions like motion sickness, stomach infections and migraine headaches. One may also feel nauseous when suffering from morning sickness during pregnancy.

Food groups to consume in nausea:
1.
Starch: Absorbs acids and calms down stomach
Foods to consume: Dry crackers, toasts or biscuits
2. Bland foods: Stimulates mucus production
Foods to consume:
Bananas, rice, potatoes and boiled carrots
3.
Clear liquids: Relieves nausea
Foods to consume:
Ginger ale, green tea and chamomile tea

Recipes based on the above food groups:
Recipe 1:
Herb rice with boiled potatoes & carrots
1. Add 1 tbs olive oil in a pan
2. Add to this 1 boiled carrot, finely chopped
3. Sauté this for 2-3 minutes
4. Now add 1 tsp ginger paste to this.
Ginger also helps reduce
nausea

Stir well
6. Add 1 boiled & chopped potato
7.
Stir fry for about 5 minutes
8. Add to this ½ tsp turmeric powder
9. Some salt to taste
10. Mix well
11. Now add 1 cup of soft boiled rice
12. Also, add some herbs
13. Add chopped coriander leaves
14. Add some mint leaves
15. Mix this well

Cook for about 5 minutes
You can have this rice with some yogurt.
Recipe 2:
Orange & carrot juice
1. Put 2 oranges in a juicer. Make sure you de-seed them
2. Add 1 chopped carrot in it
3. Add 1 inch piece of ginger as well
4. Add a bunch of mint leaves to this
5.
Juice these all together
6. Remove the juice in a glass
7. Add a pinch of salt & mix it well
Refrigerate this juice for a while & have it cold

• Have small meals at a time
