Spre deosebire de majoritatea tinerilor de vârsta lui, Robert nu s-a gândit nicio clipă să-și cumpere o mașină modernă atunci când a împlinit 18 ani. Ba dimpotrivă, a ales o veche Dacie 1300, aflată într-o stare deplorabilă, pe care a recondiționat-o cu propriile mâini, acasă. Și tot singur i-a adus și câteva modificări estetice și de ordin tehnic, transformând-o din epavă într-una dintre cele mai apreciate mașini din comunitatea de dacioți.

În secolul al XIX-lea, țara noastră a fost foarte aproape să primească numele DACIA. Până la urmă, anumite interese au făcut ca numele să fie România, iar astăzi suntem în situația, unică probabil la nivel mondial, în care avem un imn național în care cel ridicat în slăvi nu este Decebal, eroul care a apărat aceste pământuri până la ultima respirație, ci Traian, cel care i-a jefuit și i-a ucis pe mulți dintre strămoșii noștri.
Cum a fost posibil să ajungem într-o astfel de situație și cum e posibil să ne menținem mai departe așa vom căuta să lămurim cât mai mult în această emisiune

The Dacia Sandero is the cheapest new car on sale in the UK, but don't dismiss it yet. Despite being the size of a Ford Fiesta or a Renault Clio, it's actually priced at the same level as smaller, cheaper city cars. Base-spec models do without air-con, electric windows and a stereo, but top-spec models are well equipped and there's the even the option to add sat-nav and leather seats. There's a good choice of engines too, including a 1.2-litre four-cylinder and 0.9-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrols, plus a 1.5 dCi diesel with sub-100g/km CO2 emissions.

In ancient geography, especially in Roman sources, Dacia(
/ˈdɑːtʃɪʌ/ was the land inhabited by the Dacians or Getae as they were known by the Greeks—a branch of the Thracians north of the Haemus range.
Dacia was bounded in the south approximately by the Danubius river (Danube), in Greek sources the Istros, or at its greatest extent, by the Haemus Mons (the Balkan Mountains). Moesia (Dobrogea), a region south of the Danube, was a core area where the Getae lived and interacted with the Ancient Greeks. In the east it was bounded by the Pontus Euxinus (Black Sea) and the river Danastris (Dniester), in Greek sources the Tyras. But several Dacian settlements are recorded between the rivers Dniester and Hypanis (Bug River), and the Tisia (Tisza) to the west.
At times Dacia included areas between the Tisza and the Middle Danube. The Carpathian Mountains were located in the middle of Dacia. It thus corresponds to the present day countries of Romania and Moldova, as well as smaller parts of Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary, and Ukraine.

Și tot singur i-a adus și câteva modificări estetice și de ordin tehnic, transformând-o din epavă într-una dintre cele mai apreciate mașini din comunitatea de dacioți.

STORYLINE:
A period of Romanian history came to an end on Wednesday with production of the last ever Dacia 1300 car.
The last car, the 1,959,730th vehicle to be produced by the French-owned company, rolled off the assembly line on Wednesday.
The last traditional Dacia to be manufactured by Automobile Dacia Groupe Renault was a white Dacia 1300, a replica of the Renault 12.
Renault forged a partnership with Automobile Dacia in 1968 during a thaw in communism, in an era when the average Romanian began to aspire to own a car.
In 1969, production of the Dacia 1300 began. Romania shook off communism in 1989, and a decade later, Renault bought a 99.43 percent stake in the company.
The car provokes mixed sentiments in Romania where it is maligned because it breaks down so often, yet oddly iconic.
Factory workers and company officials scrawled their signatures on the car and a worker drove it out of the factory, and parked it in the yard.
The last Dacia will probably be donated to a museum, a fitting end to a car which is equated with the birth of the modern automobile industry in Romania.
The final 200 Dacias were sold on Tuesday.
The car, which used to cost 70,000 lei, three years at the average salary, had a waiting list of two years. It now costs 4,200 lei (5,040 US dollars), the equivalent of 28 months of the average salary, and there is no waiting list.
The company will now produce the new Renault Logan car, which will be exported to the Middle East Russia, and Eastern Europe and goes on sale in September. The company will continue to produce the newer Dacia Solenza, and Dacia utility vehicles.
Dacia Groupe Renault says there are still an estimated 1.5 (M) million Dacias in the country of 22 (M) million people.
Statistics mean little to many Romanians, who often give their cars pet names and practically consider them part of the family.
But even those fortunate enough to acquire one had a tough time enjoying it:
The late dictator Nicolae Ceausescu rationed gasoline, and the driving of cars was restricted on Sundays. Cars were allowed on the roads on alternate Sundays, depending on their license plate numbers.

There's nothing like the Dacia Duster for value on the new car market. Sure, the entry-level model doesn't even have a radio, but it still feels well put together and will be able to cope with the rough and tumble of family life. There's a choice of efficient two-wheel drive or capable four-wheel drive, while the top-spec Lauréate is well equipped for around £3,000 less than rivals like the Nissan Qashqai.
