Mark William Calaway (born March 24, 1965) is an American professional wrestler better known by his ring name The Undertaker. He is signed to WWE and is the company's most tenured competitor. Calaway began his wrestling career with World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW) in 1984. He joined World Championship Wrestling (WCW) as "Mean" Mark Callous in 1989. When WCW did not renew Calaway's contract in 1990, he signed with the World Wrestling Federation in October and, after shortening his name from Kane the Undertaker to simply The Undertaker, has remained with the company since.
The Undertaker has two contrasting personas. The first is the role of The Deadman, an undead, occult-like figure, which has consisted of many different styles. He debuted his original Deadman persona during his own on-camera debut at Survivor Series (1990). At this event, the Undertaker was clad as a Western mortician. Next, in October of 1998, the Undertaker appeared as the leader of the Ministry of Darkness (with similar apparel). Since WrestleMania XX, the Undertaker has appeared as a hybrid version of the Deadman character, using elements of the previous Deadman incarnations.

He gained prominence in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) from 2002 to 2004, where he is a former three-time WWE Champion, becoming the youngest WWE Champion at age 25 with his first reign. Lesnar was the 2002 King of the Ring and the winner of the 2003 Royal Rumble. After leaving WWE, Lesnar pursued a career in the NFL. He played during the preseason for the Minnesota Vikings, but ended up being a late cut. Lesnar returned to professional wrestling at the end of 2005, and joined New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), where he won the IWGP Heavyweight Championship in his first match. He was officially stripped of the title by NJPW in July 2006, and took the physical belt with him to Inoki Genome Federation (IGF), where he was still recognized as IWGP Champion until June 2007.
Michelle Leigh McCool (born January 25, 1980), is a American professional wrestler who is best known for her time in WWE.
McCool originally worked as a middle school teacher in Palatka, Florida. She joined WWE in 2004 after participating in the 2004 WWE Diva Search. In her initial on-screen role, she acted primarily as a personal trainer and occasional wrestler. She also acted as the manager to the team of K. C. James and Idol Stevens, collectively known as the Teacher's Pets, in 2006 after changing her on-screen character to that of a teacher. At The Great American Bash in 2008, she became the inaugural WWE Divas Champion, holding the title for approximately five months. She then won the WWE Women's Championship at The Bash in 2009, becoming the first female wrestler to have held both titles. At Night of Champions in 2010, she unified both titles becoming the first WWE Unified Divas Champion. She has held both titles on two occasions which makes her a four-time champion overall.
McCool first came to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) as a competitor in the 2004 WWE Diva Search, losing to Christy Hemme. Although she was eliminated, WWE signed her to a three year deal in November. Despite not winning the contest, she later debuted on SmackDown! as a fan favorite with a "personal trainer" gimmick. She wrestled in her first SmackDown! match, teaming with The Big Show to defeat Dawn Marie and René Duprée on March 3, 2005. A few months later, McCool became a part of the feud between MNM and Heidenreich when she defended Heidenreich against MNM's manager Melina's verbal attacks. In a match on June 30, Melina defeated McCool by pinning her with the illegal aid of the ring ropes as leverage. After the match, MNM performed their finisher, the Snapshot, on McCool.

When her high heels hit the floor
Let her go
When she sa-shays out the door
Let her go
There's an unspoken rule
Every man should know
You can't hold her
If you can't let her go
If she needs time on her own
Let her go
Though it means you'll be alone
Let her go
Ask anyone who's tried
They'll say it's so
You can't hold her
If you can't let her go
If you can't let her go
How is she ever gonna know
Just how much she needs you
Just how much she means to you
If you can't be that strong
You're never gonna hold her for very long
When you see her with somebody new
Let her go
Passing right in front of you
Let her go
Even if it breaks your heart
Don't let it show
'Cause you can't hold her
If you can't let her go
And if you can't hold her
There's a new song on the radio every time it plays it
gets to me
Something in the music takes me right back to where we
used to be
You wouldn't think such a little thing could make me feel
this blue
But it don't take a lot to take me back to you
I was talking to a friend of mine and he got around to
asking how you were
But how was he to know just the mention of your name
makes me hurt
I did my best to hide the way I felt but girl I'm sure he
knew
It don't take a lot to take me back to you
A voice on the phone or a look from some stranger in a
crowd
Sometimes just the sound of laughter makes me want to cry
out loud
And late in the evening as the sunset fades to blue
It don't take a lot to take me back to you
I can hear what you're thinkin'
All your doubts and fears
And if you look in my eyes in time you'll find,
The reason I'm here
And in time all things shall pass away
In time you may come back someday.
To live once more
Or die once more
But in time your time will be no more
You know your days are numbered
Count 'em one by one
Like notches in the handle of an outlaw's gun
You can outrun the devil if you try
But you will never outrun the hands of time
In time there'll surely come a day
In time all things shall pass away
In time you may come back some say
To live once more
Or die once more
But in time your time will be no more
Love is a burning thing and it makes a fiery ring
Bound by wild desire, I fell into a ring of fire
The taste of love is sweet when hearts like ours meet
I fell for you like a child, oh, but the fire went wild
I fell into a burning ring of fire, I went down, down, down
And the flames went higher and it burns, burns
Burns the ring of fire, the ring of fire
The taste of love is sweet
Yes, it burns, burns, burns the ring of fire
Woke up on the wrong side this morning
Thunder rolling in my brain
Walked into an empty closet didn't find a thing
Trouble's comin' like a train
Someone said she met a stranger lucky
I don't know his name
The way I feel I've got a mind to share some of my pain
Trouble's comin' like a train
Trouble's comin' I can feel it way down in my bones
Trouble is I never fail to derail when I'm left alone
Callin' out my name trouble's comin' like a train
Played my heart just like a joker
Lost it to the queen of pain
Now she's holding all the aces I'm out of the game
Trouble's comin' like a train
Trouble's comin' I can feel it way down in my bones
Trouble is I never fail to derail when I'm left alone
Callin' out my name trouble's comin' like a train
Trouble's comin' like a train
Trouble's comin' like a train
Trouble's comin' like a train
There goes my dream, walking down the street
With somebody new there goes my dream
I love her so, she will never know
What she means to me, there goes my dream
I was dreaming of happiness, a life of togetherness
No more of this loneliness, a love without end
There goes my dream, walking down the street
With somebody new there goes my dream
I was dreaming of family, of her growing old with me
Sharing the memories of a wonderful life
I was dreaming of all the things that true love was gonna bring
I could have done anything with her by side
For there goes my dream, walking down the street
With somebody new there goes my dream
I love her so, she will never know
I woke up in your arms last night
But you weren? t laying by my side
Desperately dreaming of the way it used to be
When love was innocent and you belong to me
I walked out in the cold night air
Half expecting you'd be there
But there was no one on the dark and empty street
Just a memory when you belonged to me
I must have been crazy I must have been blind
To think I could live one day without you on my mind
Here in the darkness, my lonely heart can see
I had everything when you belonged to me
Here in the darkness, my lonely heart can see
When I was younger mama used to say
Save you something for a rainy day
When it comes to love mama sure was right
When the wind's howlin' at my door
I let the lightnin' flash, I let the thunder roar
I've got a rainy day woman to get me through a lonely night
I've got a woman who can understand
To complications of a lonely man
When everything goes wrong, everything's alright
She gives me something that's as good as gold
Now it can't be bought and it can't be sold
I've got a rainy day woman to get me through a lonely night
Rainy days, rainy nights, hold me closer, hold me tight
When the wind's howlin'
Rainy days, rainy nights, hold me closer, hold me tight
When the wind's howlin'
I've got a rainy day woman to get me through a lonely night
Come here, sit down I need to talk to you
Our love's on shaky ground I know you feel it too
Honey, talk to me, I can't read your mind
Our precious love is on the line
You've got to get right to the heart of the matter
When it comes to matters of the heart
'Cause hearts are all that really matter
When the world is falling apart
I love you so, you need to know
I'd walk through hell itself before I'd let you go
What can I do, honey?
Tell me the truth I need to hear it from you
You've got to get right to the heart of the matter
When it comes to matters of the heart
'Cause hearts are all that really matter
On the day I met you what a stroke of luck
You were buying you a Pepsi I was gasin' up my truck
Then Cupid's arrow hit me like a bolt out of the blue
And I fell like a tree at the feet of Linda Lou
Little Linda Lou you take my breath away
What am I to do when you look at me that way
Everybody wants you girl you know it's true
You break a heart everytime you turn around
And just like every other guy in town
I've gotta try even if you shoot me down Linda Lou
[ guitar ]
I have known some women sweet as they can be
But you were ripe for picking like an apple off a tree
But the look your daddy gave me said you're forbidden fruit
But I want you more than Adam wanted Eve Linda Lou
Little Linda Lou...
Little Linda Lou...
There's a new song on the radio every time it plays it gets to me

It don't take a lot to take me back to you
Some people go through life
Never knowing why they're here
They never find someone like you
The moment I touched your hand
And looked into your eyes
I knew what I was meant to do
I was born to love you
I was born to love you
I was born to love you
Till the day I die
Sometimes when I'm holding you
It feels just like a dream
And fear cuts through me
Like a night
If I should wake up
What would I do
If you weren't laying by my side
I was born to love you
I was born to love you
I was born to love you
Till the day I die
I was born to love you
Till the day I die
I was born to love you
I was born to love you
I was born to love you
It feels like ice water down in my veins flowing like river full of heartache and pain
Losing that woman I'm payin' my dues just a hillbilly boy with the rock'n roll blues
Still there's a fire down in my soul burning with a feeling I can't control
She says it's over but I can't turn loose just a hillbilly boy with the rock'n roll blues
Fast city nights have taught me the truth love comes and goes you win or you lose
When it's all over it's hard to turn loose for a hillbilly boy with the rock'n roll blues
[ guitar ]
Somebody turn on the jukebox and play Don't be Cruel
For a hillbilly boy with the rock'n roll blues
I could put this hammer down I could leave this nowhere town
Say goodbye to all the friends I've known
But when it comes to your sweet love I just can't give it up
Maybe I'm wrong but God didn't make me that strong
I could start my life again cast my fortune to the wind
Walk away from everything I own
But if you take your love away I wouldn't last one more day
Maybe I'm wrong but God didn't make me that strong
I need your love inside me I need your arms to hide me
I need your light to guide me everywhere I go
If you're not standing with me this life ain't worth the living
Maybe I'm wrong but God didn't make me that strong
[ piano - steel ]
I need your love inside me...
I don't want a lot of things
I don't need a party every night to keep me entertained
I don't want to sing that kind of tune, all I want is you
Listen, I don't want a pot of gold
I don't need all the silver my bank account can hold
I don't want to be that kind of fool, all I want is you
All I want is you, all I want to do is love you
Your arms around me tight every day and night
I want to love you strong and true, all I want is you
Mercy naw, na na, naw, na na
All I want is you
All I want is you, all I want to
Now let me tell a story, I can tell it all
About the mountain boy who ran illegal alcohol
His daddy made the whiskey, the son, he drove the load
And when his engine roared, they called the highway thunder road
Sometimes into Ashville, sometimes Memphis Town
The revenuers, they chased him, but they couldn't run him down
Each time they thought they had him, his engine would explode
He'd go by like they were standing still on thunder road
There was thunder, thunder over thunder road
Thunder was his engine and white lightning was his load
There was moonshine, moonshine to quench the devil's thirst
The law they swore they'd get him, but the devil got him first
On the first of April, 1954
The federal man sent word, he better make his run no more
He said 200 agents were covering the state
Whichever road he'd try to take, they'd get him sure as fate
?Son?, his daddy told him, ?Now make this run your last
Your tank is filled with 100 proof, you're all tuned up and gassed
Now don't take any chances, if you can't get through
I'd rather have you back again than all that mountain dew?
There was thunder, thunder over thunder road
Thunder was his engine and white lightning was his load
There was moonshine, moonshine to quench the devil's thirst
The law they swore they'd get him, but the devil got him first
Roaring out of Harlan, revving up his mill
He shot the gap at Cumberland and screamed through Maynardville
With G-men on his tail light, roadblocks up ahead
The mountain boy took roads that even angels feared to tread
Blazing right through Knoxville, out on Kingston Pike
Then right outside of Bearden, there they made the fatal strike
He left the road at ninety, that's all there is to say
The devil got the moonshine and the mountain boy that day
There was thunder, thunder over thunder road
Thunder was his engine and white lightning was his load
There was moonshine, moonshine to quench the devil's thirst
Johnny came home in '67 to a little bit less than a heroe's welcome
Guns of war ringing in his head I wonder what he must have thought
Johnny was a rebel alright it was in his blood like fire in his eyes
About the things some people said
Believin' that freedom was well worth keeping alive
Johnny was a rebel alright he knew where to stand and where to fight
Believin' that freedom was well worth keeping alive
Johnny was a rebel alright
He used to ride that Harley through the hollows and the hills
Blow through town standing on one wheel
Long hair flyin' like a sheet in the wind I knew he never would fit in
In the old hometown again
Yeah Johnny was a rebel alright...
That night out on the courthouse yard behind the civil defense and the national guard
I saw an angry mob get out of hand I saw Johnny take a bullet for another man
[ guitar ]
It seems like a waste when I look back today but I guess it's like he used to say
Johnny died young like the good often do fightin' for right in the struggle of truth
Our freedom's only worth as much as we're all willing to pay
Johnny was a rebel alright Johnny was a rebel alright yes he was
I can't stand the collar
It makes it hard to swallar
But where you go I'll faller
Hey, I'm a lucky dog
I can't get used to gettin'
All this love and pettin'
You're about to spoil me rotten
Hey, I'm a lucky dog
I used to be a homeless hound
Runnin' 'round up and down
Every street in town
When I found you baby
The one who drove me crazy
There ain't no ifs or maybes
Hey, I'm a lucky dog
Since my tails waggin'
My tummy's almost draggin'
I just can't keep from braggin'
Hey, I'm a lucky dog
I used to be a homeless hound
Runnin' 'round up and down
Every street in town
When I found you baby
The one who drove me crazy
There ain't no ifs or maybes
Well, I do alright in the daylight
Sunshine seems to keep you off my mind
But as evening shadows fall around me
It won't be long before I cross the line
And when the sun goes down
I go crazy, I feel like a stranger in this town
But that lonesome feeling overtakes me
Heartaches come around when the sun goes down
Now each day I ask the same old questions
Lord, what did I do the night before?
My friends give me the same old answers
And I promise I won't do that anymore
But when the sun goes down
I go crazy, I feel like a stranger in this town
But that lonesome feeling overtakes me
Three words, two hearts, one night together
Soft whispers in the candlelight
One kiss, two arms, hold me forever
Three words, two hearts, one night
The whole world looks so different now
The heavens opened up and you came walking out
I never dreamed that I could fall so easily
But I never held an angel quite this close to me
Three words, two hearts, one night together
Soft whispers in the candlelight
One kiss, two arms, hold me forever
Three words, two hearts, one night
::: 1:50
I never dreamed that I could fall so easily
But I never held an angel quite this close to me
Three words, two hearts, one night together
Soft whispers in the candlelight
One kiss, two arms, hold me forever
Three words, two hearts, one night
Billy is a shade-tree mechanic
He'd never think to charge his friends
What he don't know about a car or truck
You could put on the head of a pin
Ruby is his one and only
They've been married since she turned 18
Bein' Billy's wife and the mother of his kids
Is all she's ever wanted to be
Love to burn...more than enough
To set their world on fire and make it turn
No matter how they try they'll never use it up
They've got love to burn
Billy bought an old airstream trailer
Hitched it to their pick-up truck
An' said "Come on Ruby let's go somewhere
Now that the kids have grown up"
No we don't need a whole lotta money
But if there's one thing that we've learned
Gonna take all the time we've got left together
We've got love to burn
Now, we don't need a whole lotta money
But if there's ont thing that we've learned
Gonna take all the time we've got left together
Long tall Lassie from Tallahassee
Teachin' her high school English classes
But when the bell rings after school
Puts on her jeans and her high heel boots
Tonight she'll break some cowboy's heart in two
She's unleashed love on the loose
Unleashed love on the loose
Unleashed, unleashed love on the loose
Oklahoma angel by the name of Alice
Pourin' hot coffee at the Cowtown Palace
But when her quittin' time comes around
She'll trade that apron for a sequined gown
She's out to burn that Cowtown down
Unleashed love on the loose
Unleashed love on the loose
Unleashed, unleashed love on the loose
Everybody's gotta be set free
Everybody's got a heart to feed
Everybody's got a need to be
Unleashed love on the loose
Unleashed love on the loose
Unleashed, unleashed love on the loose
I got, you got to, we got to be unleashed
Unleashed love on the loose
Monday looked like a downer
Tuesday looked like rain
A bad altitude
And I knew I needed a change
Head out on the highway
Cruising way down south
I knew a little place
Where I might could work it all out
I'm so tired of fighting with myself
Gonna spend a little time at the Tunica Motel
Just outside of Memphis, Highway 61
Sleepy little town down by the Mississippi river
I'm gonna layout on a houseboat
Until my hide turn brown
Ain't gonna move 'till the evening sun goes down
Fried chicken to go
And they got live bait for sale
Anything you need at the Tunica motel
I find myself at midnight
Moving to the back porch blues
The guitar cries, telling me about the hard times
Something moves in the shadows
Giving me a little chill
I thought I saw Robert Johnson
Walking out across the field
There ain't hardly nobody
Left who even knows the tale
She walked right out without a word
She's living back in Jacksonville, the last I heard
I wonder if she misses me, the way I'm missing her
Another man might let it go, but I'm not giving up
Something's gonna change, something's gonna change her mind
I don't know what, I don't know how, I know it's just a matter of time
She'll wake up and wanna be back in these arms of mine
Oh, something's gonna change, something's gonna change her mind
Nights get lonely by myself
But I don't wanna give my love to someone else
What we had between our hearts means too much to me
True love doesn't die that easily
Something's gonna change, something's gonna change her mind
I don't know what, I don't know how, I know it's just a matter of time
She'll wake up and wanna be back in these arms of mine
Oh, something's gonna change, something's gonna change her mind
Something's gonna change her mind
I don't know what, I don't know how, I know it's just a matter of time
She'll wake up and wanna be back in these arms of mine
Oh, something's gonna change, something's gonna change her mind
Something's gonna change, something's gonna change her mind
Something's gonna change, something's gonna change her mind
Ten lonely nights, ten lonely days
I count the hours since you've been away
Don't know who's wrong, don't know who's right
My heart's been breaking, ten lonely nights
Ten little words that's all you said
Still they keep ringing, running through my head
But now you've gone, just as free as a bird
And all it took was ten little words
Every day I hang my head and try to understand
Just why you left me here but I don't think I can
Maybe tomorrow I'll be alright
But I've cried and cried for ten lonely nights
Ten lonely nights, ten lonely days
I count the hours since you've been away
Don't know who's wrong, don't know who's right
My heart's been breaking, ten lonely nights
My heart's been breaking, ten lonely nights
He was sixteen, tender and tough
She was too, and he'd do anything to prove his love
With so much riding on the choice at hand
The spirit of a boy or the wisdom of a man
Hearts caught fire and love ran wild
She cried the day she called to say she was having his child
With so much riding on the choice at hand
The spirit of a boy or the wisdom of a man
There's a constant contradiction, what feels good and what feels right
But you live with decisions that you make in your life
And what steers your direction is hard to understand
The spirit of a boy or the wisdom of a man
Now he drives a diesel out of Dallas, hauling cars out to the coast
It ain't the dream that he remembered, just a few short years ago
But tonight at a truck stop, while drinking a cup
The waitress grins and winks at him and says, "My shift's almost up"
With so much riding on the choice at hand
The spirit of a boy or the wisdom of a man
With so much riding on the choice at hand
She didn't pack a thing
She left her diamond ring on the soap dish by the sink
Now something tells me that it might be later than I think
Looks as if I'm gonna have to face the cold hard facts
Like the king of rock and roll, she's never comin' back
She's never comin' back, she's already spent
Like last week's pay, like next month's rent
She's gone, gone, gone like a sad, sad song
On a record made of wax, she's never comin' back, she's gone
I might have changed her mind, if I'd a had the time
But it wasn't meant to be
Now the love we made is just another page in history
I might as well admit it, why it's as plain as white and black
Like the drive-in picture show, she's never coming back
She's never comin' back, she's already spent
Like last week's pay, like next month's rent
She's gone, gone, gone like a sad, sad song
On a record made of wax, she's never comin' back
Shame, shame, shame, shame
You're stirring up that old flame
I know you'll steal my heart again
No way that I can win
Shame, shame, shame, shame
You're like an angel from above
A vision any man could love
But deep inside I realize
You're just a devil in disguise
Shame, shame, shame, shame
You're stirring up that old flame
I know you'll steal my heart again
No way that I can win
Shame, shame, shame, shame
The day you said that we were through
I swore that I'd be over you
But to my lonely heart's surprise
You walked right back into my life
Shame, shame, shame, shame
You're stirring up that old flame
You're gonna steal my heart again
No way that I can win
Shame, shame, shame, shame
I know you'll steal my heart again
No way that I can win
Out on Highway 64
Sat a Mustang and a GTO
They were revvin' engines and talkin' trash
They'd run for titles, they'd run for cash
All the way, all the way to that Hardin County line
There'd be no backin' out of this
They were ?bout to see who was the best
They were on the mark and set to go
Ready to rock and a-ready to roll
All the way, all the way to that Hardin County line
Well, the engines screamed and the rubber burned
As the Mustang hit its fourth turn
And the GTO was a-closin' fast
You could see the smoke, you could smell the gas
All the way, all the way to that Hardin County line
I never knew who won the race
They disappeared without a trace
Every time I drive that stretch of road
I feel a chill runnin' through my bones
All the way, all the way to that Hardin County line
He was haggard and grey, and he walked with a limp
have him a smoke, and he'd take him a sip
born in the summer of 24, son of a veteran of the 1st
World War
He entered the service in 41, and he didn't come home
I woke up in a hotel, didn't know what to do
I turned the TV on, wrote a letter to you
The news was talkin' 'bout a dead man upon the interstate
Seems they were lookin' for a Cadillac with Tennessee plates
Well, since I left California, baby, things have gotten worse
Seems the land of opportunity for me is just a curse
Tell that judge in Bakersfield my trial'll have to wait
Down here they're lookin' for a Cadillac with Tennessee plates
It was somewhere in Nevada, it was cold outside
She was shiverin' in the dark, so I offered her a ride
Three bank jobs later, four cars hot wired
We crossed the Mississippi like an oil slick fire
Now if they'd known what we was up to they wouldn't let us in
And now we landed in Memphis like original sin
Elvis Presley Boulevard to the Graceland gates
See we were lookin' for a Cadillac with Tennessee plates
Well, there must have been a dozen of them parked in that garage
There wasn't one Lincoln and there wasn't one Dodge
There wasn't one Japanese model or make
Just pretty, pretty Cadillacs with Tennessee plates
She saw him singing once when she was seventeen
And ever since that day she's been living in between
I was never king of nothin' but this wild weekend
Anyway he wouldn't care, hell he gave them to his friends
This ain't no hotel, I'm writin' you from
Now it's a Tennessee prison up at Brushy Mountain
Where yours sincerely's doin' five to eight
This hammer sure feels heavy
This close to quittin' time
Even though I'm tired now
Soon I'll come alive
Wash my hands and change this shirt
And head out down the road
That takes me to the one I love
Waitin' there at home
And it's the sweetest place I've ever been
Calloused hands, love tender skin
That's where the good times all begin
Calloused hands, love tender skin
She knows the world I work in
Can sometimes take its toll
Hands that work so hard all day
Need someone soft to hold
She takes the perfume off the shelf
And lets her hair hang low
And when I hit the door
She's there to make sure that I know
That it's the sweetest place I've ever been
Calloused hands, love tender skin
That's where the good times all begin
Calloused hands, love tender skin
It's the sweetest place I've ever been
Calloused hands, love tender skin
That's where the good times all begin
The wind blows hard across the Texas planes
Makes some people go insane
While others quietly pray for rain
That's where we came from
Two boys playing in the burning sun
One with books, one with guns
Mama calls but just one comes
The other one runs
In a crystal sense of wrong and right
We were born and raised in black and white
One learned to pray, one loved to fight
We were born and raised in black and white
We were born and raised in black and white
Brother took to the gospel road
Spent his whole live saving souls
When he looked at me his blood ran cold
He didn't even try
I had no dreams, I had no plans
But a gun felt good in my right hand
The warden asked, ?How come you killed that man?
I said, ?I don't know why?
Welcome home said the hot moonlight
We were born and raised in black and white
One lives to pray, one prays for life
We were born and raised in black and white
We were born and raised in black and white
Someone handed me a cigarette
They offered me my last request
I asked my mortal soul be blessed
By someone close to me
He came to me with trembling hands
He swore he'd never understand
I said it's just what life had planned
It's destiny
Don't waste your tears on me tonight
We were born and raised in black and white
I chose the dark, you chased the light
We were born and raised in black and white
We were born and raised in black and white
The wind blows hard across the Texas planes
Makes some people go insane
The darkness comes, it is the calm before the storm
All the lights are being buried in the mist
I hear someone's calling in this silent night
It is foreseen what we are waiting for...
What we are waiting for
Shadow rising, thunder in the east
Soon there will be engines roaring, silence will be gone
But, no one knows what's waiting, I hope we will be spared
No need to worry yet, we must live our dreams
We are not in vain
We have to keep our faith
It is time for us to be strong
Dreams... must be kept, we have to hold on tight
We must face our fears
Still... we don't know what we are waiting for
Will our fears come true
Children's sleeping, midnight's closing in
It's getting darker every minute that goes by
This misty night will be remembered till the end of days
What are we waiting for, is it beyond our dreams
Keep our children safe
They don't need to know
Our love has to be strong
Dreams... must be kept, we have to hold on tight
We must face our fears
Still... we don't know what we are waiting for
Will our fears come true
Someone's calling, thunder's rolling in
The hour's late and beams of light strikes through the sky
The sun is rising and the children's slowly awakening
I walked her to the plane in Phoenix,
I said: "Say hello to your mama."
She couldn't even look me in the eye.
I drove out to the desert,
Just like nothing happened,
But somewhere in the darkness,
I heard her say good bye.
Now I hear voices in the wind,
Sayin' she ain't coming back to me.
I look for guidance in the sky,
But the stars have all gone out tonight.
I feel like the love of my life is dying.
Even the man in the moon is crying.
I'm burning up this blacktop,
Headin' down to Austin.
I wonder if she misses me tonight.
I wish that I could tell her,
How much I love her.
And I wish this damned ol' Thunderbird could fly.
Now I hear voices in the wind,
Sayin' she ain't coming back to me.
I look for guidance in the sky,
But the stars have all gone out tonight.
I feel like the love of my life is dying.
Even the man in the moon is crying.
Instrumental break.
Now I hear voices in the wind,
Sayin' she ain't coming back to me.
I look for guidance in the sky,
But the stars have all gone out tonight.
I feel like the love of my life is dying.
Even the man in the moon is crying.
Even the man in the moon is crying.
Even the man in the moon is crying.
Even the man in the moon is crying.
She wants something with a ring to it
Like a church bell makes
Like a pretty white gown to wear
And some vows to take
She wants something with a ring to it
I think I understand
Gonna have to put a ring on her finger
If I'm gonna be her man
My baby's playing hard to please
And think I figured out
What it is she wants from me
'Cause when I holder her close
When we go out at night
I can hardly see the moonlight
For the diamonds in her eyes
She wants something with a ring to it
Like a church bell makes
Like a pretty white gown to wear
And some vows to take
She wants something with a ring to it
I think I understand
Gonna have to put a ring on her finger
If I'm gonna be her man
My baby did but now she don't
And if I don't say I do
It's a safe bet that she won't
Love me like she used to
When our love first began
Now the only way to change her tune
Is with a wedding band.
She wants something with a ring to it
Like a church bell makes
Like a pretty white gown to wear
And some vows to take
She wants something with a ring to it
I think I understand
Gonna have to put a ring on her finger
I don't know what it is that you're doin' to me but keep it up
You've got me acting crazy as a man can be but keep it up
No matter what I do, no matter what I say
Girl, I wouldn't have it any other way
I think I'm fallin' in love so keep it up
Keep it up, keep it up, keep it comin' on strong
Keep it up honey, hold me all night long
You've got me feelin' higher than a mountain top
I'll give you the rest of my life to stop don't stop
Don't stop baby, whatever you do
You know my heart is depending on you
I think I'm fallin' in love so keep it up
Keep it up, honey
I can't believe you got me falling in this deep but keep it up
I even love the way you've got me losin' sleep so keep it up
No matter what you hear no matter what you see
Girl, keep a weavin' that spell on me
I think I'm falling in love so keep it up
i'm re-submitting the lyrics for "looks aren't everything" as i may have turned a few words around. these will be correct, Will
looks like she's found another lover, judging by the way she looks tonight.
he's got her wrapped around his fingers, she's falling right into his eyes.
chorus: but looks aren't everything, take it from a man who knows
looks aren't everything, what's in her heart doesn't always show
i know how she looks, but looks aren't everything.
see the way she smiles when he holds her,
looks as if she's in his arms to stay
to think she once cried on my shoulder,
and smiled at me that same old way
Everybody said Bobby was a little hard-headed.
If there ever was a book on love, Bobby never read it.
Suzy was a poor boy's dream in a high school sweater.
She was ready to run but her Daddy wouldn't let her.
She told her Momma how she loved her man,
She said: "Daddy don't understand."
While she was cryin', Momma shook her head.
She took her by the hand and said:
"It takes a hard lovin' woman;
"Takes a hard lovin' woman;
"Takes a hard lovin' woman,
"To love a hard-headed man."
Bobby got a job at the west end fillin' station.
He was savin' for a diamond ring after graduation.
Suzy's old man came by for some gas and water.
He said: "Boy, stay away from my daughter."
That night, by the light of the moon,
Bobby climbed up to Suzy's room.
Momma saw 'em pullin' out of the drive,
But she didn't wake up Daddy this time.
It takes a hard lovin' woman;
Takes a hard lovin' woman;
Takes a hard lovin' woman,
To love a hard-headed man.
The June weddin' was a big affair.
Daddy even bought a tux to wear.
The preacher told 'em, as he joined their hands:
"Love when you hurt; laugh when you can;
"Keep hangin' on till you understand:
"It takes a hard lovin' woman;
"Takes a hard lovin' woman;
"Takes a hard lovin' woman,
"To love a hard-headed man.
"Takes a hard lovin' woman;
"Takes a hard lovin' woman;
"Takes a hard lovin' woman,
I can hear what you're thinkin'
All your doubts and fears
And if you look in my eyes in time you'll find,
The reason I'm here
And in time all things shall pass away
In time you may come back someday.
To live once more
Or die once more
But in time your time will be no more
You know your days are numbered
Count 'em one by one
Like notches in the handle of an outlaw's gun
You can outrun the devil if you try
But you will never outrun the hands of time
In time there'll surely come a day
In time all things shall pass away
In time you may come back some say
To live once more
Or die once more
But in time your time will be no more
People talk in whisper when you're not sure of the truth
Never caring about the damage they might do
All those little rumors hidden from the light of day
Have a way of sounding like they're true
But it's no secret I'm still in love with you
Too many secrets in this town, too many people going 'round
Telling lies and breaking us in two
So I've come to you myself before you hear it somewhere else
The story going 'round this time is true
It is no secret
It is no secret, I'm still in love with you
They say I'm going crazy, well, maybe that's a fact
Without you here, I don't care if I do
They say I'll never be the same unless you take me back
Well, that's one rumor I'll admit is true
It is no secret I'm still in love with you
