I WiSH is a Japanese pop group consisting of two members, Ai Kawashima and nao. Ai is responsible for the vocals and occasionally plays the piano also with nao on the keyboard or piano. Their most notable track is "Asu e no tobira" (明日への扉) and was in the Oricon rankings for over a year.
Nao learned the piano when he was 5 years old. He started making original music, for example "Asu e no tobira" (明日への扉), "Futatsuboshi" (ふたつ星), "Yakusoku no hi" (約束の日) and so on. He won the grand prix held by YAMAHA. According to his web site, he has a perfect pitch.
Ai Kawashima's father was missing before she was born, and her mother died when she was just three years old. She was adopted by Kawashima’s family as an adopted daughter after she spent some time in an orphanage. She learned how to play the piano when she was only 3 years old. In 1999, she debuted as an Enka singer, however, it wasn’t a hit. In 2002, they started a life on the road by singing with their own electric piano as a companiment. In 2005, March 24, they dissolved “I WISH,” because they want to concentrate on solo activity. But in 2008, they resolved one more time for a last single together.
"I Wish" is a song written by Ed Hill and Tommy Lee James, and recorded by American country music artist Jo Dee Messina. It was released in July 2003 as the second new single from her Greatest Hits album. The song reached number 15 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart.
"I Wish" is a song by J-pop idol group Morning Musume and was released September 6, 2000 as their tenth single. It sold a total of 654,640 copies. "I Wish" was the song used in Japanese commercials for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, which also featured the girls in the commercials. Lead vocals in the song are Ai Kago and Maki Goto. It was a number-one hit on the Oricon Charts in Japan.

Christmas songs
As we know it's been a tough year for us all, so we at The ELO Show thought we would try and come up with something to make you all smile this December 🙂 We all love a good Christmas song and as you may know there's s good old Banger of a tune which the legendary Roy Wood penned, and as we all know he was there at the beginning of ELO. So we wondered how the song would sound if him and Jeff would have performed it, so here is our little old version of "I wish it could be Christmas every day" Please share it and let's get it all across the World spreading the love and smiles as far as we can ❤️ We hope you enjoy it 🧑🎄😍

(sang in the christmas in spiceworld concert tour)
(r. wood)
Oh when the snowman brings the snow
Oh well he just might like to know
He's put a great big smile on somebody's face
If you jump into your bed
And you cover up your head
Don't you lock the doors
You know that sweet santa claus is on the way
Well I wish it could be christmas everyday
When the kids start singing and the band begins to play
Oh I wish it could be christmas everyday
Let the bells ring out for christmas
(mel's lines - if she actually knew them!)
When we're skating in the park
If the storm cloud paints it dark
Then your rosy cheeks are gonna light my merry way
Now the frosticals appeared
And they've frozen up my beard
And so we'll lie by the fire
Til the sleep simply melts them all away
Well I wish it could be christmas everyday
When the kids start singing and the band begins to play
Oh I wish it could be christmas everyday
Let the bells ring out for christmas
(one more time everybody!)
Well I wish it could be christmas everyday
When the kids start singing and the band begins to play
Oh I wish it could be christmas everyday
Let the bells ring out for christmas
Why don't you give your love, it's christmas
