Tangerine Dream are a German electronic music group founded in 1967 by Edgar Froese. The group has seen many personnel changes over the years, with Froese being the only continuous member until his death in January 2015. Noted electronic music artist, drummer, and composer Klaus Schulze was briefly a member in an early lineup. The best known and most constant line-up of the group, which worked during their most influential mid-1970s period, was a trio with Froese, Christopher Franke, and Peter Baumann. In the late 1970s, Johannes Schmoelling replaced Baumann, and this lineup was stable and extremely productive as well.
Tangerine Dream's recorded output has been prolific, having released over one hundred albums. Their work with the Ohr electronic music label, a period called the "Pink Years" because of a pink ear included in Ohr's logo, produced albums that had a pivotal role in the development of the musical genre known as krautrock. Their "Virgin Years," so-called because of their association with Virgin Records, produced albums that helped define what became known as the Berlin School of electronic music. These and later albums were influential in both the development of electronic dance music and also new-age music, although the band themselves disliked that term. From the late 1990s into the 2000s, Tangerine Dream continued to explore other styles of electronica.
Pierre Moerlen (23 October 1952, Colmar, Haut-Rhin – 3 May 2005, Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines, near Strasbourg) was a French drummer and percussionist, best known for his work with Gong and Mike Oldfield and as Pierre Moerlen's Gong.
Pierre Moerlen was born in Colmar (Haut-Rhin) on 23 October 1952, third of five children. His father Maurice Moerlen was a famous organist (one of his teachers was Maurice Duruflé) and his mother was a music teacher. All five Moerlen children learned music with their parents and all became musicians. Pierre's younger brother, Benoît Moerlen, is also a percussionist (he worked also with Gong and Oldfield).
Pierre left Colmar for Strasbourg to learn percussions with Jean Batigne, founder of Les Percussions de Strasbourg. He was also member of two rock and rock-jazz bands, including Hasm Congélateur (with included future Magma guitarist Gabriel Federow), whose most notable performance was the opening slot at the Seloncourt Festival in September 1972, headlined by Ange, Genesis and Robert Wyatt's Matching Mole.
Tribute performing ther best pice ever. "New Views" Live from Markethalle Hamburg 13 June 1985. It's 28 minuites long so i have to cut it down to 4 pices. This is Part one. The accoustic part. Tribute was formed in Norrköping in 1982 by multi-instrumentalist Gideon Andersson and Christer Rhedin. It all began when they got the idea of putting on a concert in Hörsalen in Norrköping on the theme "A Tribute To The Music". Christer and Gideon had written all the music and began to gather various musicians at the concert. The whole thing was intended as a one-off projects, but they managed to fill the entire Hörsalen, so after the gig (28 / 5 -82), they decided to continue. They recorded some songs in a studio in Münster and sent around 115 demos and got in contact with the German compan...

Edgar Froese Christopher Franke Johannes Schmoelling Track listing "No Man's Land" -- 9:03 "Hyperborea" -- 8:31 "Cinnamon Road" -- 3:54 "Sphinx Lightning" -- 19:56 released by Tangerine Dream in 1983. It spent two weeks on the UK album chart peaking at No.45. "No Man's Land" makes heavy use of sitar. "Cinnamon Road" also utilizes sitar, but in a briefer period of time and with a conventional pop music structure. The longest track, "Sphinx Lightning"', recapitulates every style explored by Tangerine Dream over the previous decade. The album title refers to Hyperborea, a mythical, idyllic land in the Ancient Greek tradition, supposedly located far to the north of Thrace and where it was claimed the sun shone twenty-four hours a day.

Conceived as a live but soundings as a studio album, « Ricochet » is a standard of TD's typical sequencer / synth music. Recording during their European tour in 1975, the music spontaneously developed is in the direct line of the two previous efforts, oscillating between Moog Synth, Mellotron enchanting lines with an addition of exhibited sequencer pulses & arpeggios (maybe too prominent for my ears, just as this basic endless structure makes up a lack of inspiration during the jamming). As usual the sound is very abstract and spacey. The opening track starts with a deep, moody, vibrant synth sound rapidly followed by repetitive electric lines and dynamic sequencer pulses. After more than 15 mn of perpetual, sometimes boring synth / sequencer passages the tune finishes as it started with a...

After Steve Jolliffe had left the group, Edgar Froese and Chris Franke recorded the album Force Majeure on their own in Berlin. Klaus Krüger played drums again before changing to the band of Iggy Pop. Force Majeure was critically acclaimed and went Top 30 in the UK. Up to now this album is one of the most famous among Tangerine Dream fans. In 1995 Virgin re-released the album on CD in the so-called "Definitive Edition" series, featuring the original front cover artwork. The sound quality of this release, using the Super Bit Mapping technology, is probably the best up to now.

She committed suicide after her stepson refused her advances. The album is divided into four compositions: two credited to the group, one each to Edgar Froese and Peter Baumann. Along with conventional instruments like guitar, bass, organ and flute, each member used a VCS 3 synthesiser. Edgar Froese played his Mellotron, Chris Franke the big ...

Just one step at a time
And closer to destiny
I knew at a glance
There'd always be a chance for me
With someone I could live for
Nowhere I would rather be
Is your love strong enough
Like a rock in the sea
Am I asking too much
Is your love strong enough?
Just one beat of your heart
And stranger than fantasy
I knew from the start
It had to be the place for me
Someone that I would die for
There's no way I could ever leave
Is your love strong enough
Like a rock in the sea
Am I asking too much
Is your love strong enough?
Is your love strong enough?
Just one beat of your heart
Is your love strong enough?
Is your love strong enough?
Is your love strong enough?
Is your love strong enough?
Is your love strong enough?
Just one beat of your heart
Strong enough?
Strong enough?
Just one beat of your heart
Strong enough?
Strong enough?
Just one beat of your heart
Strong enough?
Strong enough?
Just one beat of your heart
Strong enough?
Strong enough?
Just one beat of your heart
Strong enough?
Strong enough?
Just one beat of your heart
