Home to five of the world's 'eight-thousanders', the region is one of raw beauty with snow-capped peaks rising from the valley floor. Our journey takes us from Gilgit to Passu, via the Hunza Valley, passing through Karimabad, Nagar, Gulmit, and across Attabad Lake.

The June 8 elections in Gilgit-Baltistan, a disputed territory occupied by Pakistan, were unfair and unconstitutional, said exiled nationalist leader and chairman of Balawaristan National Front (BNF) Abdul Hamid Khan. The Balawaristan National Front, the sole representative nationalist political party of two million people of Gilgit Baltistan, boycotted the June 8 elections by calling the Gilgit Baltistan Legislative Assembly a puppet forum with no powers. It said all powers rest with the Ministry of Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan Affairs. Khan squarely blames Pakistan for violating the UN resolution by bringing in its political parties to contest polls in the disputed region of Gilgit Baltistan. He said, "Gilgit Baltistan is not a part of Pakistan, even Pakistan accepts this. This is a disputed area, they talk about UN resolution, and they haven't even included it in their constitution.

The people of the region have been victims of Pakistani oppression for the past sixty-four years. The situation in the area has been worsening in the past few years due to increasing sectarian violence. Political leaders and activists now want an intervention by the United Nations to free them from Pakistani oppression.

Gilgit (Urdu, Shina: گلگت) is the capital city of Gilgit–Baltistan, Pakistan. Gilgit City forms a tehsil of Gilgit, within Gilgit District. Its ancient name was Sargin, later to be known as Gilit, and it is still called Gilit or Sargin-Gilit by local people. In the Burushaski language, it is named Geelt and in Wakhi and Khowar it is called Gilt. Ghallata is considered its name in ancient Sanskrit literature. Gilgit City is one of the two major hubs in Gilgit Baltistan for mountaineering expeditions to the Karakoram and other the peaks in the Himalayas, the other hub being Skardu.[citation needed]
Gilgit was an important city on the Silk Road, along which Buddhism was spread from South Asia to the rest of Asia.[citation needed]
The Dards and Chinas appear in many of the old Pauranic lists of peoples who lived in the region, with the former also mentioned in Ptolemy's accounts of the region. Two famous travellers, Faxian and Xuanzang, traversed Gilgit according to their accounts.[citation needed]

Maulana Tariq Jameel (Urdu: مولانا طارق جمیل) (born 1953) is an Islamic scholar from Pakistan. His native town is Tulambah near Mian Channu. His father was an agriculturist who belonged to the Muslim Rajputs community.[citation needed]
Tariq Jameel was born and raised in Mian Channu. In his childhood he lived a relatively modest life but religion was not a major part of his life and his family in particular. It wasn't until he pursued his M.B.B.S. in Lahore that his focus shifted towards Islam. After completing his Higher Secondary School education (a.k.a. F.Sc in some regions of Pakistan) in pre-medical (equivalent to A 'levels') from Government College, Lahore, he took admission in King Edward Medical College in Lahore. He intended to do his M.B.B.S., but he soon switched to Islamic education. He then went on to receive Islamic education from Jamia Arabia, Raiwind (near Lahore), Pakistan where he studied Quran, Hadith, Sharia, Tasawwuf, logic and Fiqh.[citation needed]
His proclivity towards Islam grew during hostel life in Lahore and can mainly be attributed to the group members of Tablighi Jamaat who he became friends with during his college life.[citation needed]

The June 8 elections in Gilgit-Baltistan, a disputed territory occupied by Pakistan, were unfair and unconstitutional, said exiled nationalist leader and chairman of Balawaristan National Front (BNF) Abdul Hamid Khan. The Balawaristan National Front, the sole representative nationalist political party of two million people of Gilgit Baltistan, boycotted the June 8 elections by calling the Gilgit Baltistan Legislative Assembly a puppet forum with no powers. It said all powers rest with the Ministry of Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan Affairs. Khan squarely blames Pakistan for violating the UN resolution by bringing in its political parties to contest polls in the disputed region of Gilgit Baltistan. He said, "Gilgit Baltistan is not a part of Pakistan, even Pakistan accepts this. This is a disputed area, they talk about UN resolution, and they haven't even included it in their constitution.

You love to travel? Pakistan is enough! The second you leave for Gilgit Baltistan on road, world's best travel starts.
This is the video for our tour to Gilgit-Baltistan while visiting the beauties of Pakistan. Chilas was the first stop where we spent our first night. Fairy Meadows was our next destination. After 4 hours of road drive we reached Tatto. Two hours of reckless jeep drive and 4 hours of trekking we reached Fairy Meadows. Nanga Parbat's view is Majestic and Killer Mountain has its own intense fear.
Next morning after all the trekking we reached Tatto again and left for Hunza. One might think that roads would be terrible but we witnessed motorways throughout our journey. It took 4 hours to reach Hunza. Hunza Valley is sheer beauty. People, view points and the sky full of stars cannot be explained.
Attabad Lake, Hunza has its own story. After 2010's land sliding whole Attabad transfomed into a lake. The only way to reach the areas ahead is through boats. Floating over Attabad which was once a populated area gives chills. Lake's water is crystal and reflects the color of the cloudy blue sky.
We took a step further and decided to go to Pak-China Border. After crossing the Attabad lake and 3 hours of jeep drive we reached our next destination. Khunjrab Pass indicates Pak- China Friendship. It is surprising and refreshing to meet Chinese as they also love to travel the border as well.
Following day we returned to Gilgit and next morning left for Home.

Hunters from Outwest Farms located in Okeechobee, Florida have posted an image showing a massive, near 15-foot, 780 pound alligator they found and killed. According to CNN, the huge reptile was discovered on Saturday on one of the ponds located on a private ranch owned by Outwest Farms owner Lee Lightsey ... They were surprised when they came across this huge alligator instead ... I hate seeing a beautiful dinosaur like that killed.???? #RIP....
