Run Rabbit Run is a song written by Noel Gay and Ralph Butler. The music was by Noel Gay and the song was originally sung by Flanagan and Allen.
This song was written for Noel Gay's show The Little Dog Laughed, which opened on 11 October 1939, at a time when most of the major London theatres were closed. It was a popular song during World War II, especially after Flanagan and Allen changed the lyrics to poke fun at the Germans (e.g. Run Adolf, Run Adolf, Run, Run, Run........)
The lyrics were used as a defiant dig at the allegedly ineffectual Luftwaffe. On 13 November 1939, soon after the outbreak of the Second World War and also soon after the song was premiered, Germany launched its first air raid on Britain, on flying boats that were sheltering in Sullom Voe, Shetland. Two rabbits were supposedly killed by a bomb drop, although it is suggested that they were in fact procured from a butchers' shop and used for publicity purposes.
The song was a popular nursery rhyme still sung by children in many parts of Britain, although its popularity has declined substantially since the end of the Second World War. However, it remains popular in New Zealand as the Maori version of the song 'Oma Rāpeti'.
Run Rabbit Run is an album by the Osso String Quartet, which was released on October 6, 2009. It is a re-working of the 2001 instrumental album Enjoy Your Rabbit by Sufjan Stevens. The songs, originally performed with electronic instruments, were arranged by New York composers Michael Atkinson, Olivier Manchon, Maxim Moston, Nico Muhly, and Gabriel Kahane and performed by the Osso String Quartet. All of the original sounds—glitches, white noise, etc.—are reproduced by these string instruments. In contrast to Enjoy Your Rabbit, live musicians are used; live musicians weren't present on the original album—something Stevens thought it lacked.. Despite the name of the album being "Run Rabbit Run," a hare is depicted on the cover.
Pink Floyd bootleg recordings are the collections of audio and video recordings of musical performances by the British rock band Pink Floyd, which were never officially released by the band. The recordings consist of both live performances and outtakes from studio sessions unavailable in official releases. In some cases, certain bootleg recordings may be highly prized among collectors, as at least 40 songs composed by Pink Floyd have never been officially released.
During the 1970s, bands such as Pink Floyd created a lucrative market for the mass production of unofficial recordings with large followings of fans willing to purchase them. In addition, the huge crowds that turned up to these concerts made the effective policing of the audience for the presence of recording equipment virtually impossible. Vast numbers of recordings were issued for profit by bootleg labels.
Some Pink Floyd bootlegs exist in several variations with differing sound quality and length because sometimes listeners have recorded different versions of the same performance at the same time. Pink Floyd was a group that protected its sonic performance, making recording with amateur recording devices difficult. In their career, Pink Floyd played over 1,300 concerts, of which more than 350 were released as bootlegged recordings (sometimes in various versions). Few concerts have ever been broadcast (or repeated once they were broadcast on television), especially during 'the golden age' of the group from 1966 to 1981.
Rabbit, Run is a 1960 novel by John Updike. The novel depicts three months in the life of a 26-year-old former high school basketball player named Harry 'Rabbit' Angstrom, and his attempts to escape the constraints of his life. It spawned several sequels, including Rabbit Redux, Rabbit is Rich and Rabbit at Rest, as well as a related 2001 novella, Rabbit Remembered.
Harry "Rabbit" Angstrom is 26, has a job selling a kitchen gadget named MagiPeeler, and is married to Janice, a former salesgirl at the store where he worked who is currently pregnant. They have a two-year-old son named Nelson, and live in Mount Judge, a suburb of Brewer, Pennsylvania. He believes that his marriage is corrupt and something is missing from his life: having been a basketball star in high school, Harry finds his middle-class family life unsatisfying. On the spur of the moment, he decides to leave his family and drive south in an attempt to "escape". However, after getting lost, he returns to his home town. Not wanting to return to his family, he instead visits his old basketball coach, Marty Tothero.
Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture 8 Mile is the official soundtrack to the 2002 movie 8 Mile. The album, performed by various artists, was released under Shady Records. It spawned the hit single "Lose Yourself" by American rapper Eminem, who also stars in the semi-autobiographical movie. The album also spawned a follow up soundtrack, More Music from 8 Mile, consisting of songs that appear in the film and were released as singles during the film's time setting of 1995. One of the songs was performed by Tupac Shakur, who would be the subject of a documentary with a soundtrack produced by Eminem, who also produced a posthumous album by Tupac. The album also features four songs by the Wu-Tang Clan and its members, and two songs by Mobb Deep, who eventually signed to G-Unit Records, headed by Shady Records artist 50 Cent. Both albums were also made available in censored versions, removing most of the strong profanity and violent content.
Rabbit, Run is a 1970 American independent film directed by Jack Smight adapted from John Updike's 1960 novel by Howard Kreitsek|Howard B. Kreitsek, who also served as producer. The film starred James Caan as Rabbit Angstrom, Carrie Snodgress as Rabbit's wife Janice, and Anjanette Comer as his girlfriend Ruth. The movie co-starred Jack Albertson as Coach Marty Tothero, Arthur Hill as Rev. Jack Eccles, and Henry Jones and Josephine Hutchinson as Rabbit's parents.
In Reading, Pennsylvania, former high school basketball star Harry "Rabbit" Angstrom is dissatisfied with both his failure to find a career and with his loveless marriage to Janice, an alcoholic who is pregnant with a child neither of them wants. Following an argument with Janice, Rabbit looks up his old basketball coach Marty Tothero, who is now living in squalor. Marty decides that Rabbit needs a woman, and he introduces him to Ruth, a part-time prostitute. When Rabbit moves in with Ruth, Jack Eccles, the family minister, tries to persuade him to return to his wife, but Rabbit refuses. Eventually, Rabbit also becomes disenchanted with Ruth, and when Janice has her baby, Rabbit goes to the hospital and effects a reconciliation. For a time, they live in relative harmony, but Janice's insistence on a less active sex life leads to bitterness, and Rabbit again takes off. Janice resumes her solitary drinking, this time with tragic results; while in a drunken stupor, she accidentally drowns the baby. Learning of his child's death, Rabbit returns home and finds that everyone holds him responsible. At the funeral, Rabbit responds to his parents' and in-laws' accusing glances by screaming his innocence. Fleeing from the cemetery, he goes to Ruth's apartment; but Ruth, who is now pregnant with his child, refuses to let him in unless he agrees to divorce Janice and marry her. Although he promises to do so, Rabbit is still unable to make a commitment to anyone and runs away again.

Some days I just wanna up and call it quits,
I feel like I'm surrounded by a wall of bricks,
Everytime I go to get up I just fall in pits,
My life's like one great big ball of shit,
If I could just put it all in all I spit,
Instead I always try to swallow it,
Instead of staring at this wall and shit,
While I sit writers block sick of all this shit,
Can't call it shit.
All I know is I'm about to hit the wall,
If I have to see another one of mom's alcoholic fits.
This is it, last straw, thats all, thats it.
I ain't dealing with another fucking politic.
I'm like a skillet, bubblin' until it filters up
I'm about to kill it, I can feel it building up,
Blow this building up, I've been sealed enough,
My cup runneth over and filled it up,
The pen explodes and busts, ink spills my guts
You think all I do is stand here and feel my nuts,
But I'm a show you what, you gonna feel my rush,
You don't feel it then it must be too real to touch,
Feel to touch, I'm about to tear shit up,
Goosebumps, yeah I'm make your hair sit up,
Yeah sit up, I'm a tell you who I be,
I'm make you hate me cause you ain't me,
You wait, it ain't to late to finally see,
What you close minded fucks were too blind to see,
Whoever finds me, is gonna get a finders fee,
Out this world and ain't no one out their mind as me,
You need peace of mind, well here's a piece of mine,
All I need's a line, but sometimes,
I don't always find the words to rhyme,
To express how I'm really feeling at that time,
Yeah sometimes, sometimes, sometimes,
just sometimes, Its always me,
how dark can these hallways be?
The clock strikes midnight, 1, 2, then half past 3,
This half ass rhyme with this half ass piece of paper,
(tear)
I'm desperate at my desk
if I could just get the rest, of this shit off my
chest, again,
stuck in this slum, Cant think of nothing,
fuck I'm stumped, but wait here comes something,
Nope, it's not good enough, scribble it out, new pad,
crinkle it up, and throw that shit out,
I'm fizzling now, thought I had figured it out,
Ball's in my court but I'm scared to dribble it out,
But I'm afraid, why am I afraid?
why am I a slave to this trade?
Sign that I'll spit to the grave, real enough to rattle
you up,
Want me to flip it? I can rip it any style you want.
I'm a switch hitter, bitch,
jimmy smith ain't a quitter,
I'm a sit here till I get enough
For me to finally hit a fucking boiling point,
Put some oil in your joints,
Flip the coin bitch come get destroyed,
An MC's worst dream: I make them tense
they hate me, see me and shake like a chain link fence,
By the looks of them you would swear Jaws was coming,
By the screams of them you would swear I'm sawing
someone,
By the way they running you would swear the law was
coming,
Its now or never tonight is all or nothing,
Momma, Jimmy keep leaving on us, he said he'd be back,
He pinky promised, I don't think he's honest,
I'll back baby I just got to beat this clock,
Fuck this clock, I'm'a make them eat this watch,
Don't believe me? Watch.
I'm a win this race, And I'm a come back
and rub my shit in your face, Bitch.
I found my nitch,
You gonna hear my voice
Till you sick of it you ain't gonna have a choice,
If I gotta scream till I have half a lung,
