Freiberg is a former district in the Free State of Saxony, Germany. It was bounded by (from the west and clockwise) the district of Mittlerer Erzgebirgskreis, the city of Chemnitz, the districts of Mittweida, Meißen and Weißeritzkreis, and by the Czech Republic.

The district was established in 1994 by merging the former districts of Freiberg, Brand-Erbisdorf and Flöha. In August 2008, as a part of the district reform in Saxony, the districts of Döbeln, Freiberg and Mittweida were merged into the new district Mittelsachsen.

The district was located on the northern slopes of the Ore Mountains. The largest river of the region is the Freiberger Mulde, which rises on Czech territory and from there runs northwards.

Tangkhul is a Naga tribe living in the Indo-Burma border area occupying the Ukhrul district in Manipur, India and the Somra Tangkhul hills (Somra tract) in Upper Burma. Despite this international border, the Tangkhul have continued to regard themselves as one nation. They are playing a major role in the fight for the integration of all the Naga-dominated areas in Northeast India and Burma.^{[citation needed]} The goal of the Tangkhul leaders is to integrate whole Naga tribes by forming a Greater Nagaland or Nagalim, the word lim meaning "land" in the Ao Naga language. According to 2011 statistics of the Government of India, Tangkhuls number approximately 183,115 (excluding those in Burma) of which male and female were 94,013 and 89,102 respectively.Average literacy rate of Ukhrul in 2011 were 81.87. If things are looked out at gender wise, male and female literacy were 86.05 and 77.47 respectively.

The Tangkhuls as also other Naga tribes came to Manipur, Nagaland, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh through Myanmar . Some of them also settled down in Myanmar and did not venture further. However, their movement over Myanmar and into India was spread over a period of time. They entered the present habitat in waves following one another and in some cases in close succession. The Tangkhuls came together with the Maos, Poumeis, Marams and Thangals because all of them have references to their dispersal from Makhel a Mao village in Senapati district. They had also erected megaliths at Makhel in memory of their having dispersed from there to various directions.

Paul Lorin Kantner (born March 17, 1941) is an American rock musician, known for co-founding the psychedelic rock band Jefferson Airplane and its spin-off band Jefferson Starship.

Although the band was originally formed by Marty Balin, Kantner eventually became the main man of Jefferson Airplane and captained the group through various successor incarnations of Jefferson Starship. Kantner has the longest continuous membership with the band; at times he was its only member. A political anarchist, Kantner once advocated the use of psychedelic drugs such as LSD for mind expansion and spiritual growth, and is a prominent advocate of the legalization of marijuana. In a 1986 interview, Kantner shared his thoughts about cocaine and alcohol, saying, "Cocaine, particularly, is a bummer. It's a noxious drug that turns people into jerks. And alcohol is probably the worst drug of all. As you get older and accomplish more things in life in general, you realize that drugs don't help, particularly if you abuse them." When Kantner suffered a cerebral hemorrhage in 1980, his attending physician at Cedars-Sinai, Stephen Levy, was quick to point out it was not a drug-related issue, saying: "There is zero relationship between Paul's illness and drugs. He doesn't use drugs." Kantner's primary instrument is the rhythm guitar, and he also sings lead or backup vocals. Kantner has three children, sons Gareth and Alexander, and daughter China.

Keiko Abe (安倍 圭子, Abe Keiko^?, born April 18, 1937) is a Japanese composer and marimba player. She has been a primary figure in the development of the marimba, in terms of expanding both technique and repertoire, and through her collaboration with the Yamaha musical instrument company, developed the modern five-octave concert marimba.

Born in Tokyo, Japan, Abe began playing the xylophone while in elementary school. She studied xylophone with Eiichi Asabuki in Tokyo. At age 13, she won an NHK talent contest and began performing professionally on live radio. She attended Tokyo Gakugei University where she completed a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Music Education. She began working in the Columbia Japan, NHK and other recording studios while in college.

In 1962, she and two friends (who were also students of Asabuki) founded the Xebec Marimba Trio, performing popular music, arrangements of folk songs and some of Abe's arrangements. They recorded more than seven albums between 1962 and 1966. During this period she had her own show on Japanese television, instructing schoolchildren in xylophone playing, as well as a radio show called "Good Morning Marimba". She also began her recording career with a bang, putting out 13 albums in a five-year span.

Carolyn D. Laine (born May 1946) is a Minnesota politician and a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives representing District 50A, which includes portions of Anoka and Ramsey counties in the northern Twin Cities metropolitan area. A Democrat, she is also an educator.

Laine was first elected in 2006, opting to run after three-term Rep. Barb Goodwin decided not to seek re-election, and was re-elected in 2008 and 2010. She is currently a member of the House Health Care and Human Services Policy and Oversight Committee, and also serves on the Finance subcommittees for the Early Childhood Finance and Policy Division, the Housing Finance and Policy and Public Health Finance Division, of which she is vice chair, and the Public Safety Finance Division.

Laine attended Hibbing Junior College in Hibbing, then went on to the University of Minnesota in Duluth, receiving her B.S. in Education and Psychology. She later earned her M.A. in Psychology from St. Mary's University, based in Winona. She has done doctoral graduate work in Health Psychology through Saybrook Graduate School and Research Center, based in San Francisco, California.
