Last time I hooped, it was against NBA rookies, so this was clearly a downgrade. But, it's been a while, so after dusting off my LeBron's, the Complex News squad and I headed out to Temple University in Philadelphia to try out for the Delaware 87ers of the NBA D-League. I quickly realized that playing basketball with people who are seriously trying to further their basketball careers isn't as fun, especially when in your mind, it's just pick-up. From former NBA players, to former D-Leaguers, to jean-wearing hopefuls, just about everyone was in attendance. I gave it my best shot, and even (low-key) got a compliment from head coach Kevin Young. I'm still waiting for the phone call telling me when our first practice is, but until then, I guess this brings me one step closer to my goal of playing in the NBA Celebrity All-Star Game.
