Charles D. Ferris (born 1931) served as Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission from October 17, 1977 to February 4, 1981. While most scholars look the term of Reagan appointee Mark S. Fowler as the beginning of telecommunications deregulation, deregulation actually began with Ferris. The most significant effect Ferris had on the FCC was shifting the Commission's reasoning from legal and technical to an economic one

Archana "Archie" Panjabi (born 31 May 1972) is a British actress best known for her role as Kalinda Sharma on CBS's The Good Wife. Archie's portrayal of Kalinda earned her the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series (2010).

Archana "Archie" Panjabi was born in London. Her parents Govind and Padma Panjabi are from India. She graduated from Brunel University with a degree in Management Studies in 1996. At the age of 26, she married Rajesh Nihalani, a tailor.

Panjabi has taken acting roles in both film and television, from early appearances in the 1999 comedy film East is East to the recent BBC television series Life on Mars. Her first Hollywood role, as a British diplomat, was in the Oscar winning The Constant Gardener, released in 2005. One of her highest profile film roles was in the 2002 comedy release Bend It Like Beckham.

In 2007, Panjabi appeared with Angelina Jolie in the movie adaptation of A Mighty Heart, a book by Mariane Pearl, wife of the journalist Daniel Pearl, playing the role of former Wall Street Journal reporter Asra Nomani.

Charles Sirois, CM CQ (born May 22, 1954) is a Canadian businessman. He is the founder, controlling shareholder, Chairman and CEO of Telesystem Ltd., a Canadian private equity company.

In 2011, he cofounded (with François Legault) the Coalition Avenir Québec.

Born in Chicoutimi, Quebec, he earned a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Université de Sherbrooke and a Master's degree in Finance from Université Laval.

Charles Sirois has experienced significant success in his business career. He is currently a director of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Cossette Communication Group and Orchestre Symphonique de Montreal. He led BCE Mobile Communications from 1988 to 1990 as its Chairman and CEO. Subsequently, he was Chairman and CEO of Teleglobe, the leading provider of international long distance and broadband services in Canada. He also served as Chairman of Telesystem International Wireless, and founded and was Chairman of Microcell Telecommunications, a GSM cellular provider in Canada best known for its Fido brand name. He was also a member of the G8 Dot Force, of the National Broadband Task Force, and was a founding member of the Washington based Global Information Infrastructure Commission (GIIC).

Charles Leadbeater (formerly known as Charlie Leadbeater) is a British author and former advisor to Tony Blair.

He first came to widespread notice in the 1980s as a regular contributor to the magazine Marxism Today. Later he was Industrial Editor and Tokyo Bureau Chief at the Financial Times. While working at The Independent in the 1990s, he devised Bridget Jones's Diary^{[citation needed]} (originally a column) with Helen Fielding. He worked on social entrepreneurship, publishing The Rise of the Social Entrepreneur in 1997. He advised the British government on matters of the Internet and the knowledge-driven economy. His most recent book, We-think, explores the new phenomenon of mass creativity exemplified by web sites such as YouTube, Wikipedia and MySpace. The book, which in a preliminary version is open to public criticism and revision, argues that participation, rather than consumption or production, will be the key organizing idea of future society. In September 2010 Leadbeater opened the Incubate (festival), in Tilburg, The Netherlands.

Mark D, born Mark Randall, is a British artist and punk musician (guitarist and songwriter). He is also associated with the Stuckist group of artists.

Mark D was born and spent his childhood in Peterborough. He now lives in Nottingham. From university onwards, Mark D (D standing for "degenerate") played in various bands including the Fat Tulips, Confetti (when he was known as David), the Pleasure Heads (when he was known as Mark Randyhead), Oscar, Servalan and Sundress, and appeared on dozens of releases. He published and edited fanzines, including the underground C86 fanzine Two Pint Take Home. He is a co-owner of Heaven Records.

The Fat Tulips were formed in 1987 and have been described as "incredibly skilled in the art of buzzing electric guitars, ferocious tempos, pristine pop melodies and lyrics that weren’t nearly as sweet as they sounded at first listen."

A few years after the Fat Tulips broke up in the mid-1990s, he started a dealership in art and antiques with his wife, Tully, focusing on work from the 1960s and 1970s, including John Piper, Stig Lindberg, Lucienne Day and John Clappison.
