Los gemelos y sus dos novias se intercambian, por error, con sus hermanos. Uno de los más divertidos trabajos de los míticos Laurel y Hardy, conocidos en España como El gordo y el flaco. En esta ocasión interpretan dos papeles cada uno, lo que fue posible gracias a los magistrales trucos fotográficos del cámara Rudolph Maté, uno de los grandes directores de fotografía de la historia del cine.

Arthur Housman (October 10, 1889–April 8, 1942) was an American actor in films during the Golden Age of Hollywood.
Initially as a leading man, Housman later became known as Hollywood's most familiar comic drunkard in films of the 1930s, usually playing cameo parts in features but with better opportunities in short films. His best remembered roles were in several Laurel and Hardy films, notably Scram, Our Relations and (in the title role) The Live Ghost. He also played a frustrated timekeeper in the Three Stooges' film Punch Drunks.
Housman's "drunk" act was continued off-screen as well, as he apparently had a drinking problem in real life, and died of pneumonia at age 52.

However he wrote operettas, choral music, chamber music, piano pieces etc, and taught at the Royal College of Music. His eminence as a musician was recognised with a knighthood in 1929. Sir Arthur Somervell (5 June 1863 -- 2 May 1937) was an English composer, and after Hubert Parry one of the most successful and influential writers of art song in the English music renaissance of the 1890s-1900s. On the Idle HIll of Summer (1904) words by AE Housman Christopher Maltman, baritone and Roger Vignoles, piano He was born in Windermere, Westmorland, the son of the founder of K Shoes, and was initially educated at Uppingham School and King's College, Cambridge,[1] where he studied composition under Sir Charles Villiers Stanford. From 1883 to 1885 he studied at the High School for Music, Berlin, and from 1885 to 1887 at the Royal College of Music in London, under Parry. He studied composition with Friedrich Kiel. He became a professor at the Royal College of Music in 1894, and conducted his own works at the Leeds and Birmingham Festivals, 1895-97. He was appointed Inspector of Music at the Board of Education and Scottish Education Department in 1901. He achieved success in his own day as a composer of choral works such as The Forsaken Merman (1895), Intimations of Immortality (which he conducted at Leeds Festival in 1907), and The Passion of Christ (1914) but is now chiefly remembered for his song cycles such as Maud (after Tennyson, 1898) and the first known setting (1904) of A. E. Housman's A Shropshire Lad. His popular Handel adaptation "Silent Worship" was featured in the 1996 film Emma. His style was conservative, and shows the influence of Mendelssohn and Brahms. He was also active in music education, and became Principal Inspector of Music for the Board of Education in 1920. He was knighted in 1929. His Violin Concerto of 1930 was dedicated to the violinist Adila Fachiri.

From 1883 to 1885 he studied at the High School for Music, Berlin, and from 1885 to 1887 at the Royal College of Music in London, under Parry. He studied composition with Friedrich Kiel. He became a professor at the Royal College of Music in 1894, and conducted his own works at the Leeds and Birmingham Festivals, 1895-97. He was appointed Inspector of Music at the Board of Education and Scottish Education Department in 1901.
He achieved success in his own day as a composer of choral works such as The Forsaken Merman (1895), Intimations of Immortality (which he conducted at Leeds Festival in 1907), and The Passion of Christ (1914) but is now chiefly remembered for his song cycles such as Maud (after Tennyson, 1898) and the first known setting (1904) of A. E. Housman's A Shropshire Lad. His popular Handel adaptation "Silent Worship" was featured in the 1996 film Emma.
His style was conservative, and shows the influence of Mendelssohn and Brahms. He was also active in music education, and became Principal Inspector of Music for the Board of Education in 1920. He was knighted in 1929. His Violin Concerto of 1930 was dedicated to the violinist Adila Fachiri.

Housman was counted one of the foremost classicists of his age, and has been ranked as one of the greatest scholars of all time.[1] [2] He established his reputation publishing as a private scholar and, on the strength and quality of his work, was appointed Professor of Latin at University College London and later, at Cambridge. His editions of Juvenal, Manilius and Lucan are still considered authoritative.

Through its song-setting the poetry became closely associated with that era, and with Shropshire itself.
Housman was counted one of the foremost classicists of his age, and has been ranked as one of the greatest scholars of all time.[1] [2] He established his reputation publishing as a private scholar and, on the strength and quality of his work, was appointed Professor of Latin at University College London and later, at Cambridge. His editions of Juvenal, Manilius and Lucan are still considered authoritative.

Hence occasional suggestions of the influence that the latter may have had on him when he composed this work.

1892: The Homestead Strike in Homestead, Pennsylvania. Labor dispute between the Amalgamated Association of Iron and Steel Workers (the AA) and the Carnegie Steel Company starting in June, 1892. The union negotiated national uniform wage scales on an annual basis; helped regularize working hours, workload levels and work speeds; and helped improve working conditions. It also acted as a hiring hall, helping employers find scarce puddlers and rollers.[77] With the collective bargaining agreement due to expire on June 30, 1892, Henry Clay Frick (chairman of the company) and the leaders of the local AA union entered into negotiations in February. With the steel industry doing well and prices higher, the AA asked for a wage increase. Frick immediately countered with a 22% wage decrease that would affect nearly half the union's membership and remove a number of positions from the bargaining unit. Andrew Carnegie encouraged Frick to use the negotiations to break the union: "...the Firm has decided that the minority must give way to the majority. These works, therefore, will be necessarily non-union after the expiration of the present agreement."[78] Frick locked workers out of the plate mill and one of the open hearth furnaces on the evening of June 28. When no collective bargaining agreement was reached on June 29, Frick locked the union out of the rest of the plant. A high fence topped with barbed wire, begun in January, was completed and the plant sealed to the workers. Sniper towers with searchlights were constructed near each mill building, and high-pressure water cannons (some capable of spraying boiling-hot liquid) were placed at each entrance. Various aspects of the plant were protected, reinforced or shielded.
1899: Newsboys Strike in New York City, New York. The newsboys were not employees of the newspapers but rather purchased the papers from the publishers and sold them as independent agents. Not allowed to return unsold papers, the newsboys typically earned around 30 cents a day and often worked until very late at night.[123] Cries of "Extra, extra!" were often heard into the morning hours as newsboys attempted to hawk every last paper.[124] In 1898, with the Spanish--American War increasing newspaper sales, several publishers raised the cost of a newsboy bundle of 100 newspapers from 50¢ to 60¢, a price increase that at the time was offset by the increased sales. After the war, many papers reduced the cost back to previous levels, with the notable exceptions of the New York World and the New York Morning Journal. In July 1899, a large number of New York City newsboys refused to distribute the papers of Joseph Pulitzer, publisher of the World, and William Randolph Hearst, publisher of the Journal. The strikers demonstrated across the Brooklyn Bridge for several days, effectively bringing traffic to a standstill,[125] along with the news distribution for most New England cities. Several rallies drew more than 5,000 newsboys, complete with charismatic speeches by strike leader Kid Blink.[126] Blink and his strikers were the subject of violence, as well. Ernest William Hornung (June 7, 1866 -- March 22, 1921) was an English author.
Hornung was the third son of John Peter Hornung, a Hungarian, and was born in Middlesbrough. He was educated at Uppingham during some of the later years of its great headmaster, Edward Thring. He spent most of his life in England and France, but in 1884 left for Australia and stayed for two years where he working as a tutor at Mossgiel station. Although his Australian experience had been so short, it coloured most of his literary work from A Bride from the Bush published in 1899, to Old Offenders and a few Old Scores, which appeared after his death.
After he returned from Australia in 1886, he married Constance Doyle, the sister of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in 1893. (Wikipedia)

Overview
Amon begins her talk by explaining what aneuploidy is and how it arises. She explains that autosomal aneuploidy is usually devastating to an organism, while aneuploidy at a cellular level may result in the unrestricted growth seen in cancer.
In Part 2, Amon provides more details about the impact of aneuploidy on individual cells. Using budding yeast and mouse lines engineered to have specific aneuploidies, Amon's lab was able to show that aneuploid cells show gene specific effects, as well as a higher overall level of cellular stress.
Part 3 focuses on the role of aneuploidy in disease, specifically in cancer. Amon discusses how identifying enhancers and suppressors of the aneuploid condition can shed light on the effects of aneuploidy in cancer and can lead to the development of novel cancer therapeutics.
Biography
Angelika Amon received both her B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Vienna. She was a post-doctoral fellow at the Whitehead Institute and was subsequently named a Whitehead Fellow. In 1999, she joined the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she is currently Professor of biology and Kathleen and Curtis Marble Professor in cancer research at the Koch Institute. Amon is also an Investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
Amon's lab uses budding yeast as a model to understand the regulatory mechanisms that ensure the correct segregation of chromosomes during mitosis and meiosis. Her lab also investigates what happens when correct segregation fails and aneuploid cells are formed. She studies these questions in budding yeast, mouse and humans.
Amon is a recipient of many honors and awards including the Alan T. Waterman Award of the NSF. She was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 2010.

7 Thus he shewed me: and, behold, the Lord stood upon a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in his hand.8 And the Lord said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more:
9 And the high places of Isaac shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword.
10 Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, Amos hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words.
11 For thus Amos saith, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of their own land.
