The BMA is conveniently located near Maryland Transit Administration bus lines (No. 3 and 11).
The Charm City Circulator is a free shuttle that runs four routes in Baltimore City, generally arriving every 10 -15 minutes at the designated stops on each route. From October 2015, you can take the Purple Route to the BMA. Hop on and off the Northbound bus on Charles at 31st Street. Log onto the CCC Website for updates on bus locations and service times to find out if there are any delays.
Driving to the BMA
From Downtown Baltimore
Take Charles Street north to Art Museum Drive, near the corner of E. 31st Street. Turn left onto Art Museum Drive and the BMA will be on your right.
From Northern Locations (I-95S from Philadelphia, New York)
- Take I-695 West (toward Towson), then take Exit 23, I-83 South (Jones Falls Expressway).
- Follow I-83 several miles to Exit 7, toward 28th Street.
- Follow 28th Street to the fourth traffic light, and turn left onto North Howard Street.
- Drive one block on Howard Street, crossing 29th Street, and bear right at the fork onto Art Museum Drive.
From Southern Locations (I-95N from Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia)
- Take I-95 North to I-395 to Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard.
- Follow MLK Boulevard for approximately one mile, staying in the center lane.
- As MLK Boulevard ends, it bears left and turns into North Howard Street.
- Follow North Howard Street, and after crossing 28th Street, bear right at the fork onto Art Museum Drive.
From Eastern Locations
- Take I-95 or Route 40 to the Baltimore Beltway (I-695) toward Towson.
- Take 695 to Exit 23, I-83 South (Jones Falls Expressway).
- Follow I-83 several miles to Exit 7, toward 28th Street.
- Follow 28th Street to the fourth traffic light, and turn left onto North Howard Street.
- Go one block on Howard Street, crossing 29th Street, and bear right at the fork onto Art Museum Drive.
From Western Locations
- Take I-70 or Route 40 to Baltimore Beltway (I-695) toward Towson.

• Gallery Place/Chinatown Metro Station serves the Green, Yellow and Red Lines. It is a seven minute walk from the station. Head east on H Street, NW, toward Hu Tong Court, NW. Turn left onto 5th Street, NW. We’re on the right.
• Mt. Vernon Square/7th Street-Convention Center Station serves the Green and Yellow Lines. It is 9 minute walk from the station. Head east on M Street, NW toward 6th Street, NW. Turn right onto 5th Street, NW, and then left onto K Street, NW. We’re on the left.
Metrobus: Nearby Bus lines include the D4, P6, 70 and 74. For more information about these routes and the closest stops, visit the WMATA website.
DC Circulator: The DC Circulator bus runs every 10 minutes and only costs $1 each way. The Georgetown-Union Station line serves the neighborhood surrounding our 5th and K Streets, NW location. Capital Bikeshare: The District’s bikesharing program makes bicycles available to anyone. Simply take a bike from one of over 154 stations in DC and Arlington, and return it to a docking station near the restaurant. The closest docking stations are:
