A woman is in custody after allegedly stabbing her roommate once in the chest in Lancaster.

Rebecca Santiago, 27, is being charged with aggravated assault after stabbing a 25-year-old man she and her boyfriend lived with in the 300 block of Beaver Street, Lancaster Det. Lt. Clark Bearinger said. The stabbing occurred at around 5:30 p.m.

An argument broke out, and Santiago ended up stabbing the victim. Police believe she used a kitchen knife, Bearinger said.

The victim was taken to the hospital for overnight observation, but injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
