A few weeks back while I was testing out the Curly Girl method I purchased the Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Treatment Masque to use as a protein treatment. My hair was strengthened, but I wasn't impressed with how my hair felt afterwards. I also had a lack of moisture. After looking up all the ingredients I found out that Hydrolyzed vegetable protein PG-Propyl silanetrol which is a mixture of hydrolyzed vegetable protein and silicone is in this product. I'm shocked that this kind of ingredient would be in a Shea Moisture product. I'm not sure if this silicone is water soluble or not, but as fas as I'm concerned it's not Curly Girl friendly.
