Unexplored oceans and undiscovered sea monsters. What is down there?

Throughout history, the ocean has been a vital source of sustenance, transport, commerce, growth, and inspiration. Yet We have only explored about 5 to 7 percent of the ocean floor and about a half a percent of the ocean itself. In the deep ocean, it is even less. Shallower parts of the ocean, and those closer to coastline, have understandably got much more investigation than the deep areas. Yet the average depth of the planet's oceans is 13,120 feet, the height of many peaks in the Rockies and the Alps. The deepest part of the ocean is called the Mariana trench and is about 6.8 miles deep. So what is down there? Deep in the ocean, on the sea floor or miles down in the Mariana trench? Well the fact that the sea has still got plenty more places to be explored probably means that there are still plenty more new creatures to be discovered. But what about a huge creature? A monster of the sea. Something like you see in the movies or hear about in legends and myths. Maybe something like the monster in clover field. A huge creature woken up by a falling satellite that plummets in to the ocean and sends the monster in to a rampage around New York City like a scared animal in a unfamiliar environment. Recently a similar idea as been made in to film called pacific rim which I haven't seen yet but I believe huge monsters come out of the sea similar to clover field. Well obviously these types of huge creatures have not be found or seen. But that doesn't mean they are not down there. Not knowing what could be living in the deepest part of the ocean can leave the options wide open. So if there is unknown creatures of the deep, how big could they get? Well creatures that live in the really deep parts of the ocean tend to grow larger than there shallow water cousins and this is called gigantism. Everyone has heard of the kraken. A over grown squid that is so big it can take down entire ships. According to all known records a four metre-long beast weighing 75kg is the largest octopus on our planet, though some say the North Pacific Giant Octopus can grow even larger.but the largest invertebrate in the world is the colossal squid. It's estimated that this animal can grow up to an impressive 14 metres long, and has a body that's both wider and heavier than the giant squid. So we no that animals can grow very large in the right conditions but are there still creatures being discovered? Well in 2011 a huge 55foot monster was found on a beach in china. It was found wrapped in fishing lines, leading locals to suspect that fishermen cut it free from their nets because it was too big to haul in.It was thought to have weighed around 4.5tons. But even recently a creature was found washed up on a beach in New Zealand that was about 30 feet long and has jagged teeth like no sea animal you have ever seen. Near the Mariana Trench, scientists placed a smelly container full of bait on the sea floor with a camera attached to sea what it would attract. Lots of small sharks where first on the scene but then they all scattered away and apparently a huge monster like creature swam past. Scientists think it could of been a sleeping shark that can grow to large sizes. How ever no one has ever seen one alive. They also have a theory that it could be a giant megalodon that died out 170 million years ago. Who knows and we won't know until they find out. But it is still extremely fascinating to wonder what might be lurking in the deep blue sea. So my conclusion to this video is that we no so little about the ocean that these Hollywood creatures of horror could be a real as you or I.
