Human ( Homo Sapiens Versus Neaderthals) evolution is the evolutionary process leading to the appearance of anatomically modern humans. The topic typically focuses on the evolutionary history of the primates—in particular the genus Homo, and the emergence of Homo sapiens as a distinct species of the hominids (or "great apes")—rather than studying the earlier history that led to the primates. The study of human evolution involves many scientific disciplines, including physical anthropology, primatology, archaeology, paleontology, ethology, linguistics, evolutionary psychology, embryology and genetics.
Genetic studies show that primates diverged from other mammals about 85 million years ago, in the Late Cretaceous period, and the earliest fossils appear in the Paleocene, around 55 million years ago. Within the Hominoidea (apes) superfamily, the Hominidae family diverged from the Hylobatidae (gibbon) family some 15–20 million years ago; African great apes (subfamily Homininae) diverged from orangutans (Ponginae) about 14 million years ago; the Hominini tribe (humans, Australopithecines and other extinct biped genera, and chimpanzees) parted from the Gorillini tribe (gorillas) about 8 million years ago; and, in turn, the subtribes Hominina (humans and biped ancestors) and Panina (chimps) separated about 7.5 million years ago.
The basic adaptation of the hominin line is bipedalism. The earliest bipedal hominin is considered to be either Sahelanthropus or Orrorin; alternatively, either Sahelanthropus or Orrorin may instead be the last shared ancestor between chimps and humans. Ardipithecus, a full biped, arose somewhat later, and the early bipeds eventually evolved into the australopithecines, and later into the genus Homo.
The earliest documented representative of the genus Homo is Homo habilis, which evolved around 2.8 million years ago, and is arguably the earliest species for which there is positive evidence of the use of stone tools. The brains of these early hominins were about the same size as that of a chimpanzee, although it has been suggested that this was the time in which the human SRGAP2 gene doubled, producing a more rapid wiring of the frontal cortex. During the next million years a process of rapid encephalization occurred, and with the arrival of Homo erectus and Homo ergaster in the fossil record, cranial capacity had doubled to 850 cm3. (Such an increase in human brain size is equivalent to each generation having 125,000 more neurons than their parents.) It is believed that Homo erectus and Homo ergaster were the first to use fire and complex tools, and were the first of the hominin line to leave Africa, spreading throughout Africa, Asia, and Europe between 1.3 to 1.8 million years ago.
According to the recent African origin of modern humans theory, modern humans evolved in Africa possibly from Homo heidelbergensis, Homo rhodesiensis or Homo antecessor and migrated out of the continent some 50,000 to 100,000 years ago, gradually replacing local populations of Homo erectus, Denisova hominins, Homo floresiensis and Homo neanderthalensis. Archaic Homo sapiens, the forerunner of anatomically modern humans, evolved between 400,000 and 250,000 years ago. Recent DNA evidence suggests that several haplotypes of Neanderthal origin are present among all non-African populations, and Neanderthals and other hominins, such as Denisovans, may have contributed up to 6% of their genome to present-day humans, suggestive of a limited inter-breeding between these species. Anatomically modern humans evolved from archaic Homo sapiens in the Middle Paleolithic, about 200,000 years ago. The transition to behavioral modernity with the development of symbolic culture, language, and specialized lithic technology happened around 50,000 years ago according to many anthropologists although some suggest a gradual change in behavior over a longer time span.

The future of human beings
Homo sapiens, the name for you, myself and ever human being that exists on our planet, we evolved from Africa about 200,000 years ago and carried on evolving until we became what we are today.but are we still evolving? Well the earth is predicted to be around about 4.55 billion years old. So in the grand scale of things our species is still very young. other humanlike creatures where around long before us, the oldest humanoid fossil was dated back to 4.4 million years ago. But because we as a race have developed this modern world of technology ultimately to make our lives easier,has this stopped us from evolving further? Evolution is when genetic changes or adaptions occur when genes mutate and combine in different ways during reproduction. This is normally to help the species survive or reproduce more effectively and happens more frequently in a population. When these changes occur they become more common across the population giving an advantage to survive. So if the purpose of evolution to to survive and reproduce, do we need to evolve any more? Are we above natural selection? Well Human beings still have many reasons to evolve, some of these might be the abilities to be immune to certain modern viruses or the abilities to be immune to high cholesterol or heart disease. Our lives are constantly changing and our body's will adapt to some of these changes. One great example of modern evolution is the ability to digest Dairy. Originally humans could only digest there mothers milk due to a gene that would eventually shut down when the child was weaned off the milk. But when we started to domesticate animals such as cows, humans evolved to have tolerance for lactose. This is thought to of happened due to the nutrients that milk would carry giving those humans a natural advantage to survive. It is thought that this ability was still developing as early as 3000 years ago. So we are still evolving and scientists think we are doing it faster than ever before. In the last 10,000 years the pace of evolution has sped up 100 times. So what does this mean for the human race? Well other than drinking milk and resisting diseases better, scientists think we are also losing our wisdom teeth and surprising that our brains are getting smaller. The average volume of the human brain has decreased from 1500 cubic centimetres to 1,350 cubic centimetres in the last 30,000 years. Scientists are not sure why are brains are getting smaller although there are some theory's of it being more efficient as we evolve. But what will we look like in the future? Well let's start at the bottom.we have evolved over the years to have become less reliant on the need to climb and have favoured the ability to walk. So nature has been slowly shrinking our toes to the point where we can hardly hold a pen between them let alone a branch. Some Scientists believe that in the future we will not have our little toes as we only need to rely on out big toes for balance. Another theory is that we will be much taller. Over the last two centuries the average height of humans has increased by 10 centre meters. This is due to better nutrition available to us and being able to eat regularly.
But just because we could be taller doesn't mean that we will be stronger. Due to the increasing reliance on technology our muscles don't need to be as strong as they did. So the more our machines work for use the less we need to do resulting in a weaker race of humans. Over thousands of years humans have been slowly losing there hair. There are a number of different causes for this but one main reason is that human men are attracted to less hairy women. Meaning that women's body's could be a lot bolder in the future. Also the fact that we tend to wear clothes to keep us warm now has meant that there is no need for a big fluffy fur coat. But I think the strangest of all the changes that might happen to our bodies is our face. Scientists predict that in a few million years humans may have flat faces, big round eye and small noses. But by the time all of these changes have occurred, the future homo sapiens will look back at there ancestors and think we were the weird looking humans just like we do to our ancestors. So I think one thing that we all must remember from time to time is that we might be able fly thousands miles in a plane or perform extremely complicated operations. But at the end of the day Mother Nature is still looking out us. Mother Nature still has a part to play.

While human evolution begins with the last common ancestor of all life, it generally refers to the evolutionary history of primates and in particular the genus Homo, including the emergence of Homo sapiens as a distinct species of hominids ("great apes"). The study of human evolution involves many scientific disciplines, including physical anthropology, primatology, archaeology, linguistics, embryology and genetics.
Primate evolution likely began in the late Cretaceous, 85 Ma (million years ago) by genetic studies and no later than the Paleocene by the fossil record 55 Ma. The family Hominidae, or Great Apes, diverged from the Hylobatidae family 15-20 Ma. Around 14 Ma the Ponginae or orangutans diverged from the Hominidae family. Later the gorilla and chimpanzee would diverge from the lineage leading to the genus Homo, the latter around 5-6 Ma. Anatomically modern humans evolved from archaic Homo sapiens in the Middle Paleolithic, about 200,000 years ago. Behaviorally modern humans developed around 50,000 years ago according to many, although some view modern behavior as beginning with the emergence of anatomically modern humans.

Humans are the pinnacle of a chain of species that has survived by way of evolution, natural selection, adaptation, and pure luck. From the formation of primordial genetic material to the development of speech, this is the improbable story of the incredible set of circumstances that led to human existence. This documentary aims to answer such questions as: How did we get here? How did mutations create male and female sexes? And were we actually fish at one point during the evolutionary chain? We are the most complex creature on this planet, a big brained, two-legged mammal. We’ve risen from the raw materials of the Earth to dominate and shape it. Wind the clock backwards and the story of how we got to be us is a puzzle that defies all logic. Through nearly 4 billion years of evolutionary twists and turns, disasters strike, predators threaten to wipe us out. From rodent to reptile, we face extinction at every turn, from the land into the water, fighting to survive every step of the way, from fish to worm, back to the very first spark of life, to a single simple cell. One change or predator along the way and this extraordinary story would have never been told. -

The future of human beings Homo sapiens, the name for you, myself and ever human being that exists on our planet, we evolved from Africa about 200,000 years ago and carried on evolving until we became what we are today.but are we still evolving? Well the earth is predicted to be around about 4.55 billion years old. So in the grand scale of things our species is still very young. other humanlike creatures where around long before us, the oldest humanoid fossil was dated back to 4.4 million years ago. But because we as a race have developed this modern world of technology ultimately to make our lives easier,has this stopped us from evolving further? Evolution is when genetic changes or adaptions occur when genes mutate and combine in different ways during reproduction. This is normally to help the species survive or reproduce more effectively and happens more frequently in a population. When these changes occur they become more common across the population giving an advantage to survive. So if the purpose of evolution to to survive and reproduce, do we need to evolve any more? Are we above natural selection? Well Human beings still have many reasons to evolve, some of these might be the abilities to be immune to certain modern viruses or the abilities to be immune to high cholesterol or heart disease. Our lives are constantly changing and our body's will adapt to some of these changes. One great example of modern evolution is the ability to digest Dairy. Originally humans could only digest there mothers milk due to a gene that would eventually shut down when the child was weaned off the milk. But when we started to domesticate animals such as cows, humans evolved to have tolerance for lactose. This is thought to of happened due to the nutrients that milk would carry giving those humans a natural advantage to survive. It is thought that this ability was still developing as early as 3000 years ago. So we are still evolving and scientists think we are doing it faster than ever before. In the last 10,000 years the pace of evolution has sped up 100 times. So what does this mean for the human race? Well other than drinking milk and resisting diseases better, scientists think we are also losing our wisdom teeth and surprising that our brains are getting smaller. The average volume of the human brain has decreased from 1500 cubic centimetres to 1,350 cubic centimetres in the last 30,000 years. Scientists are not sure why are brains are getting smaller although there are some theory's of it being more efficient as we evolve. But what will we look like in the future? Well let's start at the bottom.we have evolved over the years to have become less reliant on the need to climb and have favoured the ability to walk. So nature has been slowly shrinking our toes to the point where we can hardly hold a pen between them let alone a branch. Some Scientists believe that in the future we will not have our little toes as we only need to rely on out big toes for balance. Another theory is that we will be much taller. Over the last two centuries the average height of humans has increased by 10 centre meters. This is due to better nutrition available to us and being able to eat regularly. But just because we could be taller doesn't mean that we will be stronger. Due to the increasing reliance on technology our muscles don't need to be as strong as they did. So the more our machines work for use the less we need to do resulting in a weaker race of humans. Over thousands of years humans have been slowly losing there hair. There are a number of different causes for this but one main reason is that human men are attracted to less hairy women. Meaning that women's body's could be a lot bolder in the future. Also the fact that we tend to wear clothes to keep us warm now has meant that there is no need for a big fluffy fur coat. But I think the strangest of all the changes that might happen to our bodies is our face. Scientists predict that in a few million years humans may have flat faces, big round eye and small noses. But by the time all of these changes have occurred, the future homo sapiens will look back at there ancestors and think we were the weird looking humans just like we do to our ancestors. So I think one thing that we all must remember from time to time is that we might be able fly thousands miles in a plane or perform extremely complicated operations. Human ( Homo Sapiens Versus Neaderthals) evolution is the evolutionary process leading to the appearance of anatomically modern humans. The topic typically focuses on the evolutionary history of the primates—in particular the genus Homo, and the emergence of Homo sapiens as a distinct species of the hominids (or "great apes")—rather than studying the earlier history that led to the primates. The study of human evolution involves many scientific disciplines, including physical anthropology, primatology, archaeology, paleontology, ethology, linguistics, evolutionary psychology, embryology and genetics.
Genetic studies show that primates diverged from other mammals about 85 million years ago, in the Late Cretaceous period, and the earliest fossils appear in the Paleocene, around 55 million years ago. Within the Hominoidea (apes) superfamily, the Hominidae family diverged from the Hylobatidae (gibbon) family some 15–20 million years ago; African great apes (subfamily Homininae) diverged from orangutans (Ponginae) about 14 million years ago; the Hominini tribe (humans, Australopithecines and other extinct biped genera, and chimpanzees) parted from the Gorillini tribe (gorillas) about 8 million years ago; and, in turn, the subtribes Hominina (humans and biped ancestors) and Panina (chimps) separated about 7.5 million years ago.
The basic adaptation of the hominin line is bipedalism. The earliest bipedal hominin is considered to be either Sahelanthropus or Orrorin; alternatively, either Sahelanthropus or Orrorin may instead be the last shared ancestor between chimps and humans. Ardipithecus, a full biped, arose somewhat later, and the early bipeds eventually evolved into the australopithecines, and later into the genus Homo.
The earliest documented representative of the genus Homo is Homo habilis, which evolved around 2.8 million years ago, and is arguably the earliest species for which there is positive evidence of the use of stone tools. The brains of these early hominins were about the same size as that of a chimpanzee, although it has been suggested that this was the time in which the human SRGAP2 gene doubled, producing a more rapid wiring of the frontal cortex. During the next million years a process of rapid encephalization occurred, and with the arrival of Homo erectus and Homo ergaster in the fossil record, cranial capacity had doubled to 850 cm3. (Such an increase in human brain size is equivalent to each generation having 125,000 more neurons than their parents.) It is believed that Homo erectus and Homo ergaster were the first to use fire and complex tools, and were the first of the hominin line to leave Africa, spreading throughout Africa, Asia, and Europe between 1.3 to 1.8 million years ago.
According to the recent African origin of modern humans theory, modern humans evolved in Africa possibly from Homo heidelbergensis, Homo rhodesiensis or Homo antecessor and migrated out of the continent some 50,000 to 100,000 years ago, gradually replacing local populations of Homo erectus, Denisova hominins, Homo floresiensis and Homo neanderthalensis. Archaic Homo sapiens, the forerunner of anatomically modern humans, evolved between 400,000 and 250,000 years ago. Recent DNA evidence suggests that several haplotypes of Neanderthal origin are present among all non-African populations, and Neanderthals and other hominins, such as Denisovans, may have contributed up to 6% of their genome to present-day humans, suggestive of a limited inter-breeding between these species. Anatomically modern humans evolved from archaic Homo sapiens in the Middle Paleolithic, about 200,000 years ago. The transition to behavioral modernity with the development of symbolic culture, language, and specialized lithic technology happened around 50,000 years ago according to many anthropologists although some suggest a gradual change in behavior over a longer time span.

Homo sapiens, the name for you, myself and ever human being that exists on our planet, we evolved from Africa about 200,000 years ago and carried on evolving until we became what we are today.but are we still evolving? Well the earth is predicted to be around about 4.55 billion years old. So in the grand scale of things our species is still very young. other humanlike creatures where around long before us, the oldest humanoid fossil was dated back to 4.4 million years ago. But because we as a race have developed this modern world of technology ultimately to make our lives easier,has this stopped us from evolving further? Evolution is when genetic changes or adaptions occur when genes mutate and combine in different ways during reproduction. This is normally to help the species survive or reproduce more effectively and happens more frequently in a population. When these changes occur they become more common across the population giving an advantage to survive. So if the purpose of evolution to to survive and reproduce, do we need to evolve any more? Are we above natural selection? Well Human beings still have many reasons to evolve, some of these might be the abilities to be immune to certain modern viruses or the abilities to be immune to high cholesterol or heart disease. Our lives are constantly changing and our body's will adapt to some of these changes. One great example of modern evolution is the ability to digest Dairy. Originally humans could only digest there mothers milk due to a gene that would eventually shut down when the child was weaned off the milk. But when we started to domesticate animals such as cows, humans evolved to have tolerance for lactose. This is thought to of happened due to the nutrients that milk would carry giving those humans a natural advantage to survive. It is thought that this ability was still developing as early as 3000 years ago. So we are still evolving and scientists think we are doing it faster than ever before. In the last 10,000 years the pace of evolution has sped up 100 times. So what does this mean for the human race? Well other than drinking milk and resisting diseases better, scientists think we are also losing our wisdom teeth and surprising that our brains are getting smaller. The average volume of the human brain has decreased from 1500 cubic centimetres to 1,350 cubic centimetres in the last 30,000 years. Scientists are not sure why are brains are getting smaller although there are some theory's of it being more efficient as we evolve. But what will we look like in the future? Well let's start at the bottom.we have evolved over the years to have become less reliant on the need to climb and have favoured the ability to walk. So nature has been slowly shrinking our toes to the point where we can hardly hold a pen between them let alone a branch. Some Scientists believe that in the future we will not have our little toes as we only need to rely on out big toes for balance. Another theory is that we will be much taller. Over the last two centuries the average height of humans has increased by 10 centre meters. This is due to better nutrition available to us and being able to eat regularly.
But just because we could be taller doesn't mean that we will be stronger. Due to the increasing reliance on technology our muscles don't need to be as strong as they did. So the more our machines work for use the less we need to do resulting in a weaker race of humans. Over thousands of years humans have been slowly losing there hair. There are a number of different causes for this but one main reason is that human men are attracted to less hairy women. Meaning that women's body's could be a lot bolder in the future. Also the fact that we tend to wear clothes to keep us warm now has meant that there is no need for a big fluffy fur coat. But I think the strangest of all the changes that might happen to our bodies is our face. Scientists predict that in a few million years humans may have flat faces, big round eye and small noses. But by the time all of these changes have occurred, the future homo sapiens will look back at there ancestors and think we were the weird looking humans just like we do to our ancestors. So I think one thing that we all must remember from time to time is that we might be able fly thousands miles in a plane or perform extremely complicated operations. But at the end of the day Mother Nature is still looking out us. Mother Nature still has a part to play.

Humans are descended from apes, but not like the gorillas or chimps you see today. Instead, humans and apes share a common ancestor that lived millions of years ago.This common ancestor diverged over time to form many different species of hominid, only one of which survived to become modern humans.During the evolution of human beings, many features gave individuals advantages that offered them a better chance of survival, including the ability to stand upright, so predators and prey could be seen more easily and having a larger brain, providing the ability to plan ahead, work together, and eventually speak. Characteristics like these gave humans a better chance of survival and aloud us to become what we are today. But with an ever changing world, what will evolve from us? Evolutionary groups continue to be fascinated with the development of the human race and what it will look like in the future. So let's take look at some of the more disturbing theories on how our bodies could change. Our Fingers may become a thing of the past and replaced with tentacles. There are claims that the more we tap away at devices such as iPhone's, iPad's and other touch screen technologies, the more nerve endings we will acquire in our hands. Obviously this wouldn't happen over night, but in thousands of years as the environment changes this could be a possibility. Our fingers and hands could become longer and reduce the need to stretch. Something that could be passed down through our genes. At the top of our bodies we could have smaller heads. Scientists have already found evidence that our brains are shrinking, it is estimated that we currently use ten percent less of them than we did only 20,000 years ago. Mainly because we don't have to use much thought to survive. Some scientists believe that as our lives become easier, the smaller our brains will be. We could also be saying goodbye to our teeth. Because of the rise in tooth decay due to more and more sugary drinks and foods being consumed, some have theorised that humans could develop some kind of a beak. Our teeth could merge in to one and form a solid, pointy beak becoming more resilient and could last a lifetime. At the bottom of the our bodies we could see some form of flipper feet. The average British women takes a shoe size six, but in 100 years women could be around a size 10. Our feet have increased by an average of two sizes since the 1970, this is thought to be because of our ever expanding waistline and increased pressure on our feet. So as we continue to grow in size, so could our feet, maybe one day resulting in a giant flipper foot. But the strangest theory has be the idea that humans could develop skin that changes colour. It might sound abit ridicules, but If humans developed light reflecting pods within ours cells like some reptiles and amphibians, we could change our colour to suit our moods. This could help us to adapt better in our modern environments, being able to visually blend in or stand out could be a strange advantage in modern society. One that evolutionary pressures could make more common. We only have melanocytes under our skin at the moment that gives us our pigment. But one day, who knows we could experience a evolutionary change that could turn us green, blue or orange. These are just a few strange theories on how we could change in the future, theories that more than likely won't happen. But it if you believe in evolution, it is very interesting and fun way to imagine a futuristic new race of humans. A race of humans that would look back at our fossils and may think, wow they were a really strange looking.
