Howard Elliot Ashman (May 17, 1950 – March 14, 1991) was an American playwright and lyricist. Ashman first studied at Boston University and Goddard College (with a stop at Tufts University's Summer Theater) and then went on to achieve his master's degree from Indiana University in 1974. He collaborated with Alan Menken on several films, notably animated features for Disney, Ashman writing the lyrics and Menken composing the music.

Linda Woolverton (born 1952) is an American writer who wrote the screenplay for Disney's animated feature film Beauty and the Beast and co-wrote the screenplay for the The Lion King. Woolverton then went on to write the Broadway musical version of Beauty and the Beast and assisted in adapting The Lion King to the stage. Peter Coe
Percy Newbold "Peter" Coe (1919 – 9 August 2008) was the father and athletics coach to Sebastian Coe. As an engineer he found athletics coaching offered to his son 'all tales, nothing seemed coherent' , and was determined to apply his expertise to this field systematically. Peter's second wife, and mother of four of his five children, Tina Angela Coe (née Lall), died in Hammersmith and Fulham, London, in 2005, aged 75. Peter Coe died aged 88.

Downtown Edmonton is bounded by 109 Street to the west, 105 Avenue to the north, 97 Street to the east, 97 Avenue, 100 Avenue, and Rossdale Road to the south and Jasper Avenue to the southeast (the downtown core), though many people consider part or all of the surrounding neighborhoods to be part of downtown. The downtown core is bordered by the neighbourhoods of Oliver to the west, Queen Mary Park to the northwest, Central McDougall to the North, McCauley to the northeast, Boyle Street (Jasper-East) to the east, Riverdale to the east and southeast, and Rossdale to the south. Within the downtown core are five districts: the Commercial Core, Government Centre, Warehouse District, McKay Avenue and Rice Howard Way. Perhaps the Globe and Mail summed it up best when it called the show "big, brassy and stupidly fun... you wont be disappointed." Not to be missed. "packs more fun into one act than most shows do in two." History
Originally the "Old Salvation Army Citadel", the Citadel was bought by Joseph H. Shoctor, James L. Martin, Ralph B. MacMillan, and Sandy Mactaggart, and the first production to be performed was Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?. The theatre was founded on October 12, 1965 with its first opening night on November 10, 1965. It has the distinction of being the only venue where the Jule Styne musical Pieces of Eight has been produced.The organization moved to its current building just off Churchill Square in 1978. Architect Barton Myers designed the structure. The building itself houses the Maclab, Shoctor and Rice Theatres, Zeidler Hall (the venue for the art-house Metro Cinema), the Tucker Amphitheatre, and the Foote Theatre School. The Maclab and Tucker are part of the Lee Pavilion, a luscious greenscape right in the middle of Edmonton.
