The Road is a 1961 English-language novel by Mulk Raj Anand. The main character Bhikhu bears many similarities to the character Bakha in Anand's earlier novel Untouchable.
The Road is an autobiographical memoir by Jack London, first published in 1907. It is London's account of his experiences as a hobo in the 1890s, during the worst economic depression the United States had experienced up to that time. He describes his experiences hopping freight trains, "holding down" a train when the crew is trying to throw him off, begging for food and money, and making up extraordinary stories to fool the police. He also tells of the thirty days that he spent in the Erie County Penitentiary, which he described as a place of "unprintable horrors," after being "pinched" (arrested) for vagrancy. In addition, he recounts his time with Kelly's Army, which he joined up with in Wyoming and remained with until its dissolution at the Mississippi River.
The 1973 film Emperor of the North Pole, starring Lee Marvin, is loosely based upon The Road by Jack London.

Component Developer Magazine or CoDe (registered as CODE Magazine) is a computer magazine edited and produced by the publishing and software company EPS Software.CODE is published bi-monthly, and it is available in printed and digital format. The magazine focuses on providing information about Computer programming in using today's development topics including .NET Framework, Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft SharePoint.
CoDe Magazine was started in 1999, by Rick Strahl and EPS Software’s President Markus Egger. EPS Software and CODE participate in community developer events and frequently support Code Camps, or code and development camps put on by the community to help promote software development.
A code is a type of legislation that purports to exhaustively cover a complete system of laws or a particular area of law as it existed at the time the code was enacted, by a process of codification. Though the process and motivations for codification are similar in different common law and civil law systems, their usage is different. In a civil law country, a Code typically exhaustively covers the complete system of law, such as civil law or criminal law. By contrast, in a common law country with legislative practices in the English tradition, a Code is a less common form of legislation, which differs from usual legislation that, when enacted, modify the existing common law only to the extent of its express or implicit provision, but otherwise leaves the common law intact. By contrast, a code entirely replaces the common law in a particular area, leaving the common law inoperative unless and until the code is repealed. In a third case of slightly different usage, in the United States and other common law countries that have adopted similar legislative practices, a Code is a standing body of statute law on a particular area, which is added to, subtracted from, or otherwise modified by individual legislative enactments.
New (stylised as III☰III) is the sixteenth studio album by Paul McCartney, released on 14 October 2013 in the United Kingdom and the following day in the United States. The album was his first since 2007's Memory Almost Full to consist entirely of new compositions.
The album was executive produced by Giles Martin, with production by Martin, Mark Ronson, Ethan Johns and Paul Epworth and it was mastered by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound, New York. McCartney has stated that New was inspired by recent events in his life as well as memories of his pre-Beatles history. He added that some of the arrangements are unlike his usual rock recordings, and that he specifically sought out younger producers to work with. He and his stage band performed in various venues to promote the album, along with promotional events held through social media.
The first single, "New", and the album were met with a generally favourable reception from music critics. The album peaked at number 3 on the UK Albums Chart and on the US Billboard 200.
A 2+2 road is a specific type of dual-carriageway being built in Ireland and in Sweden and in Finland, consisting of two lanes in each direction separated by a steel cable barrier.
These roads do not have hard shoulders and therefore they cannot be designated as Motorway at some future date. The Irish variant, however, has 3.5m lanes where there are a number of Swedish variants some with 3.25m wide lanes.
Junctions are generally at-grade roundabouts and minor roads cross under or over the mainline without connecting. They are also known as "Type 2 dual-carriageways" by the Irish National Roads Authority. These roads look similar to expressways, except that expressways often have interchanges, large medians or concrete barriers between traffic. The United States has 80,000 km of roads that fit this description.
The first road of this type opened in December 2007 as a new greenfield section of the N4 national primary route which joins Dublin to Sligo.
I live by the code of the road
every single night of my life
Nobody knows a single place I go
city by city, night after night
Been a long time on this lonely road (yeah)
Nothing comes easy, but it's worth the fight
If you've seen it once I've seen it twice before (yeah)
Little by little, mile after mile
You've been waiting for the soul of your life (yeah)
The time is now a'come
No hesitation, no backing down out
So just take it away
I live by the code of the road
every single night of my life
People all around you but you're all alone
City by city, night after night
It's about time I take it nice and slow (yeah)
Nothing comes easy, but it's worth the fight
I say it all the time, but then I start to roll (yeah)
Little by little, mile after mile
You've been waiting for the soul of your life (yeah)
The time is now a'come
No hesitation, no backing down out
So just take it away
I live by the code of the road
every single night of my life
Nobody knows a single place I go
city by city, night after night
Been a long time on this lonely road (yeah)
Nothing comes easy, but it's worth the fight
If you've seen it once I've seen it twice before (yeah)
