I started this sketchbook at the age of 14 after a long hospital stay and a chronic diagnosis. I was really depressed and I found comfort in drawing and I haven't stopped since. Don't give up!

Way long overdue, but it's here YEAY -- my completed 2016 Watercolour Sketchbook!
It's an A4 Watercolour Folio Notebook by Moleskine (Bought it here: http://bit.ly/2ceJafK), which uses cold pressed 200 gsm watercolour paper for its pages. Favourite thing about it was the texture -- it's got a varying grained texture that felt a lot more natural-looking when the paint dried up, which I liked in comparison to some other papers that have repetitive and quite distinctive textures and can sometimes look odd. Only thing I wish was that their watercolour sketchbooks used 300 gsm paper -- 200 gsm just isn't enough to take big washes of water and buckles slightly.

Sketchbook (manga)
Sketchbook (スケッチブック, Suketchibukku) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Totan Kobako. First serialized in the April 2002 issue of Comic Blade, the individual chapters are collected and published by Mag Garden. Chapters have also appeared in Comic Blade Masamune. An anime adaptation, under the title Sketchbook ~full color's~, aired in Japan between October 2 and December 25, 2007. The story revolves around a group of high school students, mostly female, in the art club at their high school. The main character is a young, shy and quiet girl named Sora Kajiwara who goes through life at her own pace.

Sketchbook begins with Sora Kajiwara joining the art club of her unnamed Fukuoka high school, and goes on to chronicle her subsequent experiences and those of her fellow club members.

An additional volume, Sketchbook Shucchōban, was published on January 10, 2006 as a collection of bonus material which initially appeared in Comic Blade Masamune. Way long overdue, but it's here YEAY -- my completed 2016 Watercolour Sketchbook! It's an A4 Watercolour Folio Notebook by Moleskine (Bought it here: http://bit.ly/2ceJafK), which uses cold pressed 200 gsm watercolour paper for its pages. Favourite thing about it was the texture -- it's got a varying grained texture that felt a lot more natural-looking when the paint dried up, which I liked in comparison to some other papers that have repetitive and quite distinctive textures and can sometimes look odd. Only thing I wish was that their watercolour sketchbooks used 300 gsm paper -- 200 gsm just isn't enough to take big washes of water and buckles slightly. One of my current preoccupations is developing a set of modern BlackLetter capitals that are highly legible, in BlackLetter terms, and yet retain the richness and beauty inherent in this ancient category of letterform. I started this sketchbook at the age of 14 after a long hospital stay and a chronic diagnosis. I was really depressed and I found comfort in drawing and I haven't stopped since. Don't give up! OK finally! Here by request, a 4 minute tour through one of my sketchbooks. Some good, some bad... no promises! FAQ: 1) This book was finished about a year ago ... (2010 - 2011) 2) I usually don't plan my drawings and draw straight ahead with ink. 3) On average I fill a sketchbook every 10 months or so. 4) My favourite pen is the Tombo WSBH150 brush pen, available for about 3$, but only in Japan, goddammit. 5) YOU'RE on drugs! Way long overdue, but it's here YEAY -- my completed 2016 Watercolour Sketchbook!
It's an A4 Watercolour Folio Notebook by Moleskine (Bought it here: http://bit.ly/2ceJafK), which uses cold pressed 200 gsm watercolour paper for its pages. Favourite thing about it was the texture -- it's got a varying grained texture that felt a lot more natural-looking when the paint dried up, which I liked in comparison to some other papers that have repetitive and quite distinctive textures and can sometimes look odd. Only thing I wish was that their watercolour sketchbooks used 300 gsm paper -- 200 gsm just isn't enough to take big washes of water and buckles slightly.

BlackLetter was used throughout Europe from about 1150 until the end of the 17th century. One of my current preoccupations is developing a set of modern BlackLetter capitals that are highly legible, in BlackLetter terms, and yet retain the richness and beauty inherent in this ancient category of letterform. Edit: Not sure exactly how it's related, but I fixed my crashing problem by removing the open gl plugin. AE is rock solid now.

3) On average I fill a sketchbook every 10 months or so.
4) My favourite pen is the Tombo WSBH150 brush pen, available for about 3$, but only in Japan, goddammit.
5) YOU'RE on drugs!
