Haplogroup J2
J2 originated in Eastern Anatolia, and spread westward to western Anatolia and southern Europe, and eastward to Persia and India. J2 is related to the Ancient Etruscans, (Minoan) Greeks, southern Anatolians, Assyrians and Babylonians.
In Europe, J2 reaches its highest frequency in Greece (especially in Crete, Peloponese and Thrace), southern and central Italy, southern France, and southern Spain. The ancient Greeks and indu-europeans were the main driving forces behind the spread J2 around the western and southern Mediterranean.
J2 is thought to have arrived in Greece from Anatolia somtime between the (late) Neolithic and the Bronze Age.

How a dream put me on a quest to discover my ancestral roots. The journey lead me from my fathers homeland of Dominican Republic to Poland where just 400 years ago, my fathers were once Polish Jews migrating to greener pastures south towards Spain and then leaving the old world to the new world in 1492 having fled the Spanish Inquisition by the Catholic Church. Thanks to DNA, I was able to confirm my fathers ancient roots to ancient Israel where they share the same genetic makeup of the inhabitants of the middle east and levant.

J is Originally from Eastern Anatolia, divided into the northern J2 and the southern J1. J2 is by far the most common variety in Europe.

J1 is a typically Taurid Zarzian capsian haplogroup, most common of the population of the Arabian peninsula. and among some Kushitic / Nubian Tribes and hamitic groups of sudan and ethiopia . Haplogroup J2
J2 originated in Eastern Anatolia, and spread westward to western Anatolia and southern Europe, and eastward to Persia and India. J2 is related to the Ancient Etruscans, (Minoan) Greeks, southern Anatolians, Assyrians and Babylonians.
In Europe, J2 reaches its highest frequency in Greece (especially in Crete, Peloponese and Thrace), southern and central Italy, southern France, and southern Spain. The ancient Greeks and indu-europeans were the main driving forces behind the spread J2 around the western and southern Mediterranean.
J2 is thought to have arrived in Greece from Anatolia somtime between the (late) Neolithic and the Bronze Age.

"We have analyzed Y-chromosome diversity in the western Mediterranean area, examining p49a,f TaqI haplotype V and subhaplotypes Vb Berber and Va Arab. A total of 2,196 unrelated DNA samples, belonging to 22 populations from North Africa and the southern Mediterranean coast of occidental Europe, have been typed. Subhaplotype Vb, predominant in a Berber population of Morocco 63.5%, was also found at high frequencies in southern Portugal 35.9% and Andalusia 25.4%. The Arab subhaplotype Va, predominant in Algeria 53.9% and Tunisia 50.6%, was also found at a relatively high frequency in Sicily 23.1% and Naples 16.4%; its highest frequency in Iberia was in northern Portugal 22.8% and Andalusia 15.5%. In Iberia there is a gradient of decreasing frequencies in latitude for both subhaplotypes Va and Vb, related to eight centuries of Muslim domination 8th to 15th centuries in southern Iberia."

"We have analyzed Y-chromosome diversity in the western Mediterranean area, examining p49a,f TaqI haplotype V and subhaplotypes Vb Berber and Va Arab. A total of 2,196 unrelated DNA samples, belonging to 22 populations from North Africa and the southern Mediterranean coast of occidental Europe, have been typed. Subhaplotype Vb, predominant in a Berber population of Morocco 63.5%, was also found at high frequencies in southern Portugal 35.9% and Andalusia 25.4%. The Arab subhaplotype Va, predominant in Algeria 53.9% and Tunisia 50.6%, was also found at a relatively high frequency in Sicily 23.1% and Naples 16.4%; its highest frequency in Iberia was in northern Portugal 22.8% and Andalusia 15.5%. In Iberia there is a gradient of decreasing frequencies in latitude for both subhaplotypes Va and Vb, related to eight centuries of Muslim domination 8th to 15th centuries in southern Iberia."

"In Arabic countries, J1 climaxes among the Marsh Arabs of South Iraq 81%, the Sudanese Arabs 73%, the Yemeni 72%, the Bedouins 63%, the Qatari 58%, the Saudi 40%, the Omani 38% and the Palestinian Arabs 38%. High percentages are also observed in the United Arab Emirates 35%, coastal Algeria 35%, Jordan 31%, Syria 30%, Tunisia 30%, Egypt 21% and Lebanon 20%. Most of the Arabic J1 belongs to the J1c3 variety.

The case against Led Zeppelin comes from a trustee for the estate of a member of American rock band Spirit, who released a song named "Taurus" in 1968 ... That means the case will go to court.
