Cynthia Ann "Cindy" Herron (born September 26, 1961) is an American singer and actress, who is best known as a founding member of the quartet En Vogue.
Herron was born in San Francisco, California, to an African-American father and a German/Swiss (White) mother. Herron began her musical career in the cabaret scene in San Francisco, during the 1980s. She also worked as a background vocalist for local San Francisco Bay Area acts such as Tiggi Clay. She also appeared in the original company of the Jerry Herman musical revue Showtune (then titled Tune the Grand Up).
Cindy was named "Miss San Francisco 1986" and placed 2nd-Runner Up in the 1986 Miss California Pageant. She is also a former Miss Black California.
In 1988, Herron was chosen along with Dawn Robinson and Maxine Jones to be in a three-woman girl group by producers Denzil Foster and Thomas McElroy. After adding Terry Ellis to the line-up, the group became a quartet and chose the name En Vogue. During 2004, Herron chose not to tour with En Vogue, but returned to the group the following year. Herron and Ellis are the only members of En Vogue to have appeared on every album the group has made.
En Vogue is an American R&B girl group whose original line-up consisted of Terry Ellis, Dawn Robinson, Cindy Herron, and Maxine Jones. Formed in Oakland, California in 1989, they reached number two on the US Hot 100 with the single "Hold On", which was taken from their 1990 debut album "Born to Sing". The group's 1992 follow-up album Funky Divas reached the top 10 in both the US and UK, and included their second US number two hit "My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It)", plus the US top 10 hits "Giving Him Something He Can Feel" and "Free Your Mind".
In 1996, "Don't Let Go (Love)" became the group's third single to reach number two in the US, and became their sixth number one on the US R&B chart. Robinson left the group in 1997 shortly before the release of their third album EV3, which also reached the US and UK top 10. Jones left the group in 2001 and was replaced by Amanda Cole; however, in 2003, Cole left and was replaced by Rhona Bennett during the recording of their album Soul Flower. In 2005, the original members briefly united before departing again. In 2009, the original members once again reunited for their "En Vogue: 20th Anniversary". Shortly after the tour, Robinson and Jones departed from En Vogue to pursue solo careers, with Bennett rejoining the group as a trio.
Terry Lynn Ellis (born September 5, 1963) is an R&B singer best known for her work with the vocal group En Vogue.
Terry Ellis was born in Houston, Texas. She is the daughter of Lennie James Ellis and the former Evelyn Marie Patton. Ellis graduated from Worthing High School of Houston in 1982. Ellis received a degree in Marketing from Prairie View A&M University in 1990. She later joined the group En Vogue, which was originally planned to be a trio (a 1990s version of The Emotions), but the producers were so impressed by her voice, they made the group a quartet. In 1995 Ellis took time during the group's hiatus to release her solo CD, Southern Gal which was released on November 14, 1995. The CD included the moderate hits "Where Ever You Are" and "What Did I Do To You?". She also contributed a track called "Call on me" for the Soundtrack for the HBO Film "Disappearing Acts" with Wesley Snipes.
She also released her own fragrance titled "Southern Exposure".
En Vogue lost original members Dawn Robinson in 1997 and again in 2005, and Maxine Jones in 2001 (they latter replaced by Amanda Cole and then Rhona Bennett.) Maxine Jones and Dawn Robinson have since returned to the group. In 2005, Ellis was featured in the Stevie Wonder music video "So What The Fuss" with her original En Vogue group members Dawn Robinson, Maxine Jones and Cindy Herron. She also played one of Chanté Moore's friends in the Music video "Chanté's Got a Man" in 1999.

The last of the group individual videos. Give it up for Cindy Herron. She was the soprano that alternated frequently with Dawn's edgier voice. Cindy had a very child like sound, that was very polished, but could display emotion well. In the group, while Max was the soul, Dawn was the edge, and Terry was the big sound, Cindy was more of the the class act. Never a note out of place and her runs were perfect. She had the best ad libs in the group, and the sweetest head voice. Cindy also did not show the full extent of her voice, having belted a Bb5 a few times in En Vogues Old School Diva medley. It was also rumored that Cindy has access to whistle register, but she did not demonstrate this in their studio work. Side Note: The D3 is very brief but it is there. I forgot to add the Eb5's from...

Hey everybody, I am back with a new episode of She Sangs. This time it is starring En Vogue, which is arguably the best vocal girl group of all time. Maxine's jazzy voice + Cindy's polished voice + Dawn's funky voice + Terry's powerhouse voice = a fierce vocal collaboration. En Vogue's harmonies are unmatched and their superior performing skills set the blueprint for every girl group that followed them (like Destiny's Child, Pussycat Dolls, Little Mix, Sugababes, Spice Girls...heck even the Cheetah Girls lol). En vogue best live vocal harmonies don't let go, hold on, free your mind, never gonna get it, giving him something he can feel, my lovin, lies Maxine Jones, Terry Ellis, Cindy Herron, Dawn Robinson, vocal range.

This very rare 1980's PBS series "Getting To Know Me" is hardly mentioned in classic educational media. It promoted pride of African-American culture as well as portrayed healthy and decent domestic family relations. Great for its time. Choronzon with us abide!
It´s the night of the cross
All come to the congregation
Come to celebrate the sign of our lord choronzon
Come to receive the perfection of light
Tonight out spirits burn under the cross of redemption
Follow the path to the foot of the cross
Follow the path reversing and blessing
Follow the path concealed in revelation
Follow the path the one way is threefold
Erect ye the shape of infinite fire
Raise aloft the serpent within
Return and find ouranos sulphur
Erect the cross of unconscious will
We bear the mark that scatters illusions
We bear the mark that dissolves the gods
Be it multiplied and worshipped
