Description

This accommodation is a 9 year old colonial style cottage. It is a completely separate dwelling with its own carport. It features timber floors and Persian style rugs.The kitchen has a fan-forced wall mounted oven, gas range, microwave, toaster and fridge/freezer The bathroom has a shower, toilet, bidet, vanity unit, above vanity cupboard, and a ceiling mounted light/heater/fan combination. The laundry/utility area has a small wardrobe and Fisher & Paykel washer and dryer with ironing board and iron. The bedroom has a queen sized bed and a walk-in robe.
Access is through the carport. One bedroom in the cottage is a locked store room - please see the floor plan. The 5 acre block has grassed areas, terraces, a close under tree paved area (the WiFi reaches) and a small orchard all of which are accessible to guests.

In the area..

Ten minutes from historic Cygnet with magnificent views of vineyards, farmland and the Huon River. Both Cygnet and Huonville have a range of cafes, hotels and supermarkets. The immediate vicinity is rural, with cherries, wine, saffron, apples, vegetables, dairy and beef cattle and a thriving arts and crafts scene. A 15 min walk to the end of our road will take you to the Huon River. Plenty to do and see in the area including the Tahune Air-walk, Hastings Caves, the Wooden Boat Centre at Franklin, Willie Smith and Pagan Cider, Huon Jet Boats, Elsewhere Vineyard, Grandvewe Cheesery, and Bruny Island.
A taxi service is available, as are buses from Cygnet, but exploring with your own vehicle is the way to go.
