"Scotland the Brave" (Scottish Gaelic: Alba an Aigh) is a patriotic song and one of the main contenders to be considered as a national anthem of Scotland. In June 2006, the song came second to Flower of Scotland in an online poll with more than 10,000 votes to determine the nation's favourite unofficial "anthem". The song is used to represent Scotland in the Commonwealth Games.
Scotland the Brave is also the authorised pipe band march of The British Columbia Dragoons of the Canadian Forces and is played during the Pass in Review at Friday parades at The Citadel. In 2006, it was adopted as the regimental quick march of the Royal Regiment of Scotland.
Scotland the Brave (in schottischem Gälisch Alba an Aigh) ist neben "Flower of Scotland" und "Scots Wha Hae" eine der drei inoffiziellen Nationalhymnen Schottlands. Sie wird als schottische Nationalhymne bei den Commonwealth Games verwendet.

In fact, as we carried my own grandmum out of the funeral home to the hearse, a piper played it for her. I'm a former soldier, and far too many of the best & brightest young people who have gone in harm's way to protect our freedoms have paid the ultimate price for us. Bagpipes are a class of musical instrument, aerophones, using enclosed reeds fed from a constant reservoir of air in the form of a bag. Though the Scottish Great Highland Bagpipe and Irish uilleann pipes have the greatest international visibility, bagpipes have been for centuries played throughout large parts of Europe, the Caucasus, around the Persian Gulf and in Northern Africa. The term "bagpipe" is equally correct in the singular or plural, although in the English language, pipers most commonly talk of "the pipes", "a set of pipes", or "a stand of pipes".
Bagpipe making was once a craft that produced instruments in many distinctive local traditional styles. Today, the world's biggest producer of the instrument is Pakistan, where the industry was worth $6.8 million in 2010.
A set of bagpipes minimally consists of an air supply, a bag, a chanter, and, usually, at least one drone. Most bagpipes have more than one drone (and, sometimes, more than one chanter) in various combinations, held in place in stocks—connectors that fasten the various pipes to the bag.

Bagpipes represent a kind of well known instrument symbolic of Scotland.The Bagpipes are build and manufactured with a large bag full of air, which feeds the flute. Bearing in mind, the Scottish Great Highland Bagpipe with their famous tartans and the authentic Irish uilleann pipes have the largest and greatest international visibility, several bagpipes have been played all over the world for centuries throughout large parts of Europe such the Caucasus region and around the Persian Gulf and in Northern Africa. The word and term "bagpipe" is really equally correct in its written forms both in the singular or plural shape, although in the british English language, mots pipers would as usual most commonly talk of and describe "the pipes" or even "a set of pipes".

Bagpipes represent a kind of well known instrument symbolic of Scotland.The Bagpipes are build and manufactured with a large bag full of air, which feeds the flute. Bearing in mind, the Scottish Great Highland Bagpipe with their famous tartans and the authentic Irish uilleann pipes have the largest and greatest international visibility, several bagpipes have been played all over the world for centuries throughout large parts of Europe such the Caucasus region and around the Persian Gulf and in Northern Africa. The word and term "bagpipe" is really equally correct in its written forms both in the singular or plural shape, although in the british English language, mots pipers would as usual most commonly talk of and describe "the pipes" or even "a set of pipes".
