Teton Gravity Research and 8-time X Games medalist and 3-time Real Ski Champion, Sammy Carlson, introduce The Sammy C Project. The Sammy C Project hopes to inspire those even beyond the realm of snow to go after their dreams with tenacity.
Sammy Carlson, places himself in the record books as the first skier to hit a “ski-flying” long jump with freestyle intent. Carlson not only spun himself from the lip of a jump designed to send skiers upwards of 500 feet, but began several of many descents into the jump switch.
Built in 1970, the ski jump, known as Copper Peak, is the largest ski jump in the Western Hemisphere. Located on Michigan’s upper peninsula and along the shores of Lake Superior, the 24 story, 300-ton steel structure is named for the mineral deposits unearthed during its construction (a 140-pound copper nugget was discovered near the present-day judge’s stand). The ramp itself claims 364-feet of vertical drop and a 35-degree in-run, providing for jumps with distance records stretching over 500 feet.
“When we showed up it was a ghost ramp. It not been hit in twenty years,” declares Carlson. “The people helping me from the community where just as committed as I was to hitting the ramp. It was true team effort.”
The film shares nearly two years of unthinkable freestyle skiing progression, with features, locations and cinematography to rival the groundbreaking segment released today. “The jump is truly enormous,” says TGR co-founder Steve Jones. “Hitting a gap this big in general takes significant confidence and skill, not to mention spinning from its lip or dropping in switch. Sammy is unbeatable when it comes to skiing like this.”

Some details:
Avocado pudding recipe
1 hass avocado
1-2 tablespoons raw honey ( or whatever sweetner you like)
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup almond milk
Cut open the avocado and scoop out the pit. Cut it into large chunks and put in the blender.
Add the cocoa, honey and almond milk.
Blend,until it is smooth.
If the avocado is larger, you will need a bit more of each ingredient. If it is too thick, drizzle in a bit more almond milk. Add more cocoa or honey to taste.
Refrigerate the pudding and serve cold.

A ski is narrow strip of wood, plastic, metal or combination thereof worn underfoot to glide over snow. Substantially longer than wide and characteristically employed in pairs, skis are attached to boots with bindings, either with a free, lockable, or permanently secured heel.
Originally intended as an aid to travel over snow they are now mainly used recreationally in the sport of skiing.
Skis are also fitted to vehicles dedidcated to traveling over snow such as snowmobiles and snowcats.
The Nordic ski technology was adapted during the early twentieth century to enable skiers to turn at higher speeds. New ski and binding designs, coupled with the introduction of ski lifts and snowcats to carry skiers up mountains, enabled the development of alpine skis. Meanwhile advances in technology in the Nordic camp allowed for the development of special skis for skating and ski jumping.
Ski nomenclature is relatively simple. Examining the ski from front to back along the direction of travel, the front of the ski (typically pointed or rounded) is the "tip", the middle is the "waist" and the rear (typically flat) is the "tail".

Tanner Hall (born October 26, 1983), of Kalispell, Montana is a freeskier.
Chris Hall's brother. In 2002 Tanner Hall co-founded the freeride ski company Armada Skis with skier JP Auclair and photographer Chris O'Connell.[citation needed] Hall is also part owner of the snowcat ski hill Retallack near Nelson, BC, Canada, along with skier Seth Morrison.[citation needed]
In March 2005 while attempting a switch 900 over the legendary Chad's Gap in Wasatch backcountry, Utah, he pulled up short, hit the knuckle and then ragdolled down the landing, breaking both ankles. His injuries put him out for the rest of the season but returned in 2006 to win gold at both the US Freeskiing Open and the Winter X-Games.[citation needed]
After overshooting a jump at Stevens Pass, in May 2009, in Washington, he has been on hiatus for just over a year. He suffered from tibial plateau fractures and ACL tears in both knees. Hall got back to training on trampolines during summer 2010.
His attempt at a fourth gold in slopestyle was upset by Charles Gagnier and in 2009 a fourth straight superpipe gold was snatched from him by Xavier Bertoni.

Hope you enjoy this vlog :) Some details: Avocado pudding recipe 1 hass avocado 1-2 tablespoons raw honey ( or whatever sweetner you like) 1 teaspoon cocoa powder 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 cup almond milk Cut open the avocado and scoop out the pit. Cut it into large chunks and put in the blender. Add the cocoa, honey and almond milk. Blend,until it is smooth. If the avocado is larger, you will need a bit more of each ingredient. Teton Gravity Research and 8-time X Games medalist and 3-time Real Ski Champion, Sammy Carlson, introduce The Sammy C Project. The Sammy C Project hopes to inspire those even beyond the realm of snow to go after their dreams with tenacity.
Sammy Carlson, places himself in the record books as the first skier to hit a “ski-flying” long jump with freestyle intent. Carlson not only spun himself from the lip of a jump designed to send skiers upwards of 500 feet, but began several of many descents into the jump switch.
Built in 1970, the ski jump, known as Copper Peak, is the largest ski jump in the Western Hemisphere. Located on Michigan’s upper peninsula and along the shores of Lake Superior, the 24 story, 300-ton steel structure is named for the mineral deposits unearthed during its construction (a 140-pound copper nugget was discovered near the present-day judge’s stand). The ramp itself claims 364-feet of vertical drop and a 35-degree in-run, providing for jumps with distance records stretching over 500 feet.
“When we showed up it was a ghost ramp. It not been hit in twenty years,” declares Carlson. “The people helping me from the community where just as committed as I was to hitting the ramp. It was true team effort.”
The film shares nearly two years of unthinkable freestyle skiing progression, with features, locations and cinematography to rival the groundbreaking segment released today. “The jump is truly enormous,” says TGR co-founder Steve Jones. “Hitting a gap this big in general takes significant confidence and skill, not to mention spinning from its lip or dropping in switch. Sammy is unbeatable when it comes to skiing like this.”

Some details:
Avocado pudding recipe
1 hass avocado
1-2 tablespoons raw honey ( or whatever sweetner you like)
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup almond milk
Cut open the avocado and scoop out the pit. Cut it into large chunks and put in the blender.
Add the cocoa, honey and almond milk.
Blend,until it is smooth.
If the avocado is larger, you will need a bit more of each ingredient. If it is too thick, drizzle in a bit more almond milk. Add more cocoa or honey to taste.
Refrigerate the pudding and serve cold.

Le deuxième, Julien Régnier, a donné naissance à une nouvelle discipline au début des années 2000 : le ski freestyle backcountry, aussi spectaculaire qu’engagée, devenue depuis un véritable phénomène sur la toile.
Complices depuis de nombreuses années, les deux skieurs de la Plagne souhaitent marquer le début de l’hiver avec le lancement de leur nouvelle vidéo !
Et celle-ci arrive à point nommé alors que les 1ers flocons commencent seulement à couvrir les Alpes Françaises.
Fast Forward est une course-poursuite effrénée à skis agrémentée d’une série de cascades étonnantes en plein coeur de la Plagne.
Sur les pistes, ils enchainent les tricks à toute vitesse sur des kickers naturels ou préformés. Et dans la station, ils se défient au milieu des bâtiments et s’amusent avec le mobilier urbain, voire même un semi-remorque.
Mentions spéciales pour le saut de plus de 30 m au dessus de la terrasse d’un restaurant et le passage, à skis, dans la piste olympique de bobsleigh. Une première !

Après le succès des ''Ch'tis à Ibiza'' diffusé en septembre 2011, revoici les Ch''tis mais cette fois ci au Ski dans la station la plus déjantée du monde Autriche
Cette « série-réalité » suit les péripéties, à Ischgl, de neuf candidats de la région Nord-Pas-de-Calais, cinq filles et quatre garçons. Alexia Laroche-Joubert rappelle que « rien n'est écrit à l'avance. L'émission se basera sur un choc des cultures entre l'origine des habitants et leur destination. Vu qu'il s'agit d'une série-réalité et non d'une téléréalité, « il n'y a rien à gagner, il n'y pas de candidats ou d'élimination » rappelle la productrice. Ils vont passer quatre semaines dans cette station de sports d'hiver avec, cette fois, un objectif professionnel : s'imposer chacun dans leur spécialité et devenir ainsi les rois de la fête à la montagne ! Entre fous rires, ski, fête et enjeux professionnels, les aventures des Ch'tis sont reparties.

Les gendarmes ont la dure mission de maîtriser les débordements de cette jeune clientèle : tapage nocturne, alcool, cannabis…
A quelques sommets de là, Courchevel est la plus chic des stations de ski, avec onze palaces 5 étoiles, des trottoirs chauffants, des boutiques de luxe, des galeries d'art où l'on vend Warhol ou Picasso. Depuis quelques années, la jet-set russe s'y donne rendez-vous, notamment début janvier lors du Noël orthodoxe. Une clientèle très fortunée qui fait la fortune de Courchevel. Revers de la médaille, à cette saison, les escort girls se pressent dans les rues et bars de Courchevel pour séduire les milliardaires russes.
