Some of the websites are still not compatible with the latest version of explorers. they need IE 9 and lower version. And it is not easy to downgrade your IE specially in windows 8 where IE10 is by default.
So you can change the browser mode by pressing F12 and following simple steps.

You can remove IE9/IE10 and install IE8 using the following steps.
1. Close all programs.
2. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
3. Click Uninstall a Program under the Programs category
4. In the Tasks pane, click View installed updates.
5. In the list of installed updates, double-click Windows Internet Explorer 9 / 10.
Once Internet Explorer 9 has been uninstalled from your system, the computer will require a reboot. After rebooting, your computer should now revert back to Internet Explorer 8.

Google.com stopped working. When this first started to occur I could get on google but everytime I tried to click a link it took me to something that said searchsmile. Now I can't get IE to open google at all or any other web broswer. I ran a virus scan using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and it found some trojan files. Those have been deleted and no longer show up in my scan. This computer could not open bing.com and well since it was on the hosts file also. This video will show you how to check and fix the problem if the change was made to the Hosts file.

Google.com stopped working. When this first started to occur I could get on google but everytime I tried to click a link it took me to something that said searchsmile. Now I can't get IE to open google at all or any other web broswer. I ran a virus scan using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and it found some trojan files. Those have been deleted and no longer show up in my scan. This computer could not open bing.com and well since it was on the hosts file also. Internet Explorer 9 has a great tool for helping you inspect your website. It is called the F12 Developer tools and is a tool primarly designed for Geeks but it is easy enough for non technical people to use for a basic analysis of some of the elements of your website.
It is also a great tool for troubleshooting.

My Acer Aspire 6930G is nearly six years old but it does everything I need, except I can’t upgrade beyond IE9 and that is increasingly limiting ... (I assume it’s based on Chromium and therefore excludes the proprietary code that Google adds in Chrome.)
