Our word of the day is “Blue Chip”
A "blue chip" is the nickname for a stock that is thought to be safe, in excellent financial condition, and firmly entrenched as a leader in its field. Blue chip stocks generally pay very large and growing dividends, making them favorably regarded by investors. A few examples of blue chips are Wal-Mart, Coca-Cola, Procter & Gamble, Exxon Mobil, PepsiCo, McCormick & Company, Unilever, and Johnson & Johnson.
According to the New York Stock Exchange, a blue chip is stock in a corporation with a national reputation for quality, reliability, and the ability to operate profitably in good times and bad. The most popular index that follows U.S. blue chips is the Dow Jones Industrial Average. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is a price-weighted average of 30 blue-chip stocks that are generally the leaders in their industry. It has been a widely followed indicator of the stock market since October 1, 1928.
While a blue-chip company may have survived several challenges and market cycles over the course of its life, leading to it being perceived as a safe investment, this may not always be the case. The bankruptcy of General Motors and Lehman Brothers, as well as a number of leading European banks, during the global recession of 2008, is proof that even the best companies may sometimes be unable to survive during periods of extreme stress.

Welcome to another gear review! I'm pleased and excited to announce I have recently received yet another pick to test out and review for you. Put it's not an ordinary pick, it's the ever-popular BlueChip Pick!
I know, I know, you're probably thinking "Why another pick, Eric? Don't you have enough already?" Well . . . yes. Plain and simple. I have too many in fact! But while on my trip to SPBGMA 2014 (which will hopefully be uploaded and released soon) I had the opportunity to talk to some vendors there.
This video is the perfect example of the phrase "It never hurts to ask." In my case, I struck up a conversation with the owner of BlueChip Picks, Matthew Goins, and decided to inform about my YouTube Channel and subscriber base and how I frequently do various gear video reviews for you guys. He graciously agreed to give me a sample of the BlueChip pick, which was a TP-50. I decided I wanted a triple-point pick so I could have 3 times the playability.
As I type these show notes in the description box I've been playing this pick exclusively (in other words, I've not been using my other three main picks: Dunlop Tortex 1.14, D'Andrea Pro Plec 1.5, or Ultex 1.14/V-Pick 1.5[?]) for a little over 3 weeks and I'm blown away by it! One of the many reasons is because, other than surface scratches such as those you normally see on pickguards, there is absolutely no wear on this pick! It's extremely durable and sounds just as great today as it did when I first started using it!

Sunny Leone (born May 13, 1981) is an Indo-Canadian pornographic actress, actress, businesswoman and model of dual Canadian/American nationality. She was named Penthouse Pet of the Year in 2003 and was a contract star for Vivid Entertainment. Named by Maxim as one of the 12 top porn stars in 2010, she has also played roles in independent mainstream films and television shows.
Leone was born in Sarnia, Ontario to Sikh Punjabi parents from India. Her father was born in Tibet and raised in Delhi, while her mother (who died in 2008) was from a small town named Nahan in Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh. As a young girl, she was very athletic and played street hockey with the boys, enjoyed ice skating on a nearby frozen lake and drinking hot chocolate in front of a fire after playing in the snow all day.
Though she was raised as a Sikh, her parents enrolled her in a Catholic school, as it was felt to be unsafe for her to go to public school. There she had her first kiss at 11, lost her virginity to a basketball player at another school at 16, and discovered that she was bisexual at 18. When she was 13, her family moved to Fort Gratiot, Michigan, then to Lake Forest, California a year later, fulfilling her grandparents' dream that the family be together in one place. She graduated from high school in 1999 and enrolled in college.

Imran Khan Niazi (Urdu: عمران خان نیازی; born 25 November 1952) is a Pakistani politician and former cricketer, playing international cricket for two decades in the late twentieth century. After retiring, he entered politics. Currently, besides his political activism, Khan is also a philanthropist, cricket commentator, Chancellor of the University of Bradford and Founder and Chairman Board of Governors of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre.
Arguably Pakistan's most successful cricket captain, Khan played for the Pakistani cricket team from 1971 to 1992 and served as its captain intermittently throughout 1982–1992. After retiring from cricket at the end of the 1987 World Cup, he was called back to join the team in 1988. At 39, Khan led his teammates to Pakistan's first and only World Cup victory in 1992. He has a record of 3807 runs and 362 wickets in Test cricket, making him one of eight world cricketers to have achieved an 'All-rounder's Triple' in Test matches. On 14 July 2010, Khan was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame.

Welcome to the Investors Trading Academy talking glossary of financial terms and events. Our word of the day is “Blue Chip” A "blue chip" is the nickname for a stock that is thought to be safe, in excellent financial condition, and firmly entrenched as a leader in its field. Blue chip stocks generally pay very large and growing dividends, making them favorably regarded by investors. A few examples of blue chips are Wal-Mart, Coca-Cola, Procter & Gamble, Exxon Mobil, PepsiCo, McCormick & Company, Unilever, and Johnson & Johnson. According to the New York Stock Exchange, a blue chip is stock in a corporation with a national reputation for quality, reliability, and the ability to operate profitably in good times and bad. The most popular index that follows U.S. blue chips is the Dow Jones Industrial Average. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is a price-weighted average of 30 blue-chip stocks that are generally the leaders in their industry. It has been a widely followed indicator of the stock market since October 1, 1928. While a blue-chip company may have survived several challenges and market cycles over the course of its life, leading to it being perceived as a safe investment, this may not always be the case. The bankruptcy of General Motors and Lehman Brothers, as well as a number of leading European banks, during the global recession of 2008, is proof that even the best companies may sometimes be unable to survive during periods of extreme stress. I'm pleased and excited to announce I have recently received yet another pick to test out and review for you. Put it's not an ordinary pick, it's the ever-popular BlueChip Pick! I know, I know, you're probably thinking "Why another pick, Eric? Don't you have enough already?" Well . . . yes. Plain and simple. I have too many in fact! But while on my trip to SPBGMA 2014 (which will hopefully be uploaded and released soon) I had the opportunity to talk to some vendors there. This video is the perfect example of the phrase "It never hurts to ask." In my case, I struck up a conversation with the owner of BlueChip Picks, Matthew Goins, and decided to inform about my YouTube Channel and subscriber base and how I frequently do various gear video reviews for you guys. He graciously agreed to give me a sample of the BlueChip pick, which was a TP-50. I decided I wanted a triple-point pick so I could have 3 times the playability. As I type these show notes in the description box I've been playing this pick exclusively (in other words, I've not been using my other three main picks: Dunlop Tortex 1.14, D'Andrea Pro Plec 1.5, or Ultex 1.14/V-Pick 1.5[?]) for a little over 3 weeks and I'm blown away by it! One of the many reasons is because, other than surface scratches such as those you normally see on pickguards, there is absolutely no wear on this pick! It's extremely durable and sounds just as great today as it did when I first started using it! A "blue chip" is the nickname for a stock that is thought to be safe, in excellent financial condition, and firmly entrenched as a leader in its field. Blue chip stocks generally pay very large and growing dividends, making them favorably regarded by investors. A few examples of blue chips are Wal-Mart, Coca-Cola, Procter & Gamble, Exxon Mobil, PepsiCo, McCormick & Company, Unilever, and Johnson & Johnson.
According to the New York Stock Exchange, a blue chip is stock in a corporation with a national reputation for quality, reliability, and the ability to operate profitably in good times and bad. The most popular index that follows U.S. blue chips is the Dow Jones Industrial Average. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is a price-weighted average of 30 blue-chip stocks that are generally the leaders in their industry. It has been a widely followed indicator of the stock market since October 1, 1928.
While a blue-chip company may have survived several challenges and market cycles over the course of its life, leading to it being perceived as a safe investment, this may not always be the case. The bankruptcy of General Motors and Lehman Brothers, as well as a number of leading European banks, during the global recession of 2008, is proof that even the best companies may sometimes be unable to survive during periods of extreme stress.

Welcome to another gear review! I'm pleased and excited to announce I have recently received yet another pick to test out and review for you. Put it's not an ordinary pick, it's the ever-popular BlueChip Pick!
I know, I know, you're probably thinking "Why another pick, Eric? Don't you have enough already?" Well . . . yes. Plain and simple. I have too many in fact! But while on my trip to SPBGMA 2014 (which will hopefully be uploaded and released soon) I had the opportunity to talk to some vendors there.
This video is the perfect example of the phrase "It never hurts to ask." In my case, I struck up a conversation with the owner of BlueChip Picks, Matthew Goins, and decided to inform about my YouTube Channel and subscriber base and how I frequently do various gear video reviews for you guys. He graciously agreed to give me a sample of the BlueChip pick, which was a TP-50. I decided I wanted a triple-point pick so I could have 3 times the playability.
As I type these show notes in the description box I've been playing this pick exclusively (in other words, I've not been using my other three main picks: Dunlop Tortex 1.14, D'Andrea Pro Plec 1.5, or Ultex 1.14/V-Pick 1.5[?]) for a little over 3 weeks and I'm blown away by it! One of the many reasons is because, other than surface scratches such as those you normally see on pickguards, there is absolutely no wear on this pick! It's extremely durable and sounds just as great today as it did when I first started using it!
