Summertime in France. At a cruising spot for men, tucked away on the shores of a lake, Franck falls for Michel, but Michel has a regular lover there. When Franck witnesses Michel killing his lover, he is shocked, but nonetheless his passion for this dangerous man overrides any sense of personal safety, and the two men begin an affair.
Whilst waiting for Michel to arrive at the lake each day, Franck befriends Henri, an older man, who doesn't fit in with the 'scene,' sitting on the outskirts of the cruising area, observing all the comings-and-goings. Their friendship is not based on sex, but on conversation and a shared observation of their world and situation.
As Franck and Michel's liaisons continue with reckless abandonment, a policeman arrives at the lake as the body of Michel's murdered lover has been discovered...

Tale of a Lake is a film about the thousands of lakes that Finland is known for. It takes the viewers on an unprecedented adventure, ranging from crystal clear springs all the way to the basins of the big lakes. It opens a whole new world of underwater nature for the viewers and tells many of the old tales and beliefs that abound in the land of thousands of lakes. The film is told through tales that are based on the myths, legends and old beliefs found in Finnish mythology. The previous documentary by the same director "Tale of a Forest" (2012) won several international awards.

FILM DESCRIPTION:
Arriving by boat at her family's Louisiana lake island cabin, Sara (Sara Paxton) and her friends quickly strip down to their swimsuits for a weekend of fun in the sun. But when star football player Malik (Sinqua Walls) stumbles from the salt-water lake with his arm torn off, the party mood quickly evaporates. Assuming the injury was caused by a freak wake-boarding accident, the group realizes they have to get Malik to a hospital on the other side of the lake, and fast. But as they set out in a tiny speedboat, the college friends discover the lake has been stocked with hundreds of massive, flesh-eating sharks! As they face one grisly death after another, Sara and the others struggle desperately to fend off the sharks, get help and stay alive long enough to reach the safety of dry land. -

DRAIN is a feature-length documentary exploring the threats facing one of America's most precious natural resources, the Great Lakes.
Our journey is a personal one, following director, John Trefry, as he sets out to make a film about the tradition of restoring antique wooden boats in Northern Michigan where his father grew up. The story broadens as we discover the lakes have hit their lowest levels in recorded history, jeopardizing 95% of our fresh surface water in the U.S. and over 20% of the world's supply.
The search to uncover the truth about what's causing the drop in lake levels and more importantly the solution, leads to top researchers and scientists, politicians, fisherman and people from all walks of life connected to the Great Lakes.
We look at historical causes for how the Great Lakes ecosystem are currently being affected and examine what's happening with more than 56 billion gallons of water withdrawn from the lakes every day. Even more shocking is how little we know about stemming the accelerated rate of evaporation which far surpasses the water we extract.
The economic impact is undeniable on not only the 40 million residents who depend on the water resources in the Great Lakes region but also 110 million tons of cargo traversing these waterways annually. These massive ships carry the goods that we depend in out everyday products.

The Lakes (TV series)
The Lakes is the title of a television drama series in the United Kingdom, made by the BBC and created and principally written by Jimmy McGovern. The Lakes brought writer Jimmy McGovern and actor John Simm a great deal of critical praise in 1997. Following a particularly dry period for British TV drama, the show's realistic characters and their painfully honest decisions hit audiences hard. Simm plays Danny Kavanagh; a twenty-something trapped in a life of compulsive gambling, theft, and being on the dole in Liverpool. On a whim he heads north to the Lake District. He expects to find countryside quiet where he might explore his hidden poetical leanings, but gets caught up in a community like any other. Lies, temptation and tragedy beset every household just as much as the big city. As time races by, Danny's link to the Lakes becomes an exercise in torment when he is suspected after the accidental deaths of three schoolgirls. Stoking the flames of a series of secondary explosions in waiting are a pair of affairs, one adulterous, the other complicated by religion.

DRAIN is a feature-length documentary exploring the threats facing one of America's most precious natural resources, the Great Lakes.
Our journey is a personal one, following director, John Trefry, as he sets out to make a film about the tradition of restoring antique wooden boats in Northern Michigan where his father grew up. The story broadens as we discover the lakes have hit their lowest levels in recorded history, jeopardizing 95% of our fresh surface water in the U.S. and over 20% of the world's supply.
The search to uncover the truth about what's causing the drop in lake levels and more importantly the solution, leads to top researchers and scientists, politicians, fisherman and people from all walks of life connected to the Great Lakes.
We look at historical causes for how the Great Lakes ecosystem are currently being affected and examine what's happening with more than 56 billion gallons of water withdrawn from the lakes every day. Even more shocking is how little we know about stemming the accelerated rate of evaporation which far surpasses the water we extract.

The Great Lakes contain over 20% of the world's fresh surface water and in 2013, the lakes hit their lowest levels in recorded history.
This is the story you haven't heard.
DRAIN is a feature-length documentary exploring the threats facing one of America's most precious natural resources, the Great Lakes.
Our journey is a personal one, following director, John Trefry, as he sets out to make a film about the tradition of restoring antique wooden boats in Northern Michigan where his father grew up. The story broadens as we discover the lakes have hit their lowest levels in recorded history, jeopardizing 95% of our fresh surface water in the U.S. and over 20% of the world's supply.
The search to uncover the truth about what's causing the drop in lake levels and more importantly the solution, leads to top researchers and scientists, politicians, fisherman and people from all walks of life connected to the Great Lakes.
We look at historical causes for how the Great Lakes ecosystem are currently being affected and examine what's happening with more than 56 billion gallons of water withdrawn from the lakes every day. Even more shocking is how little we know about stemming the accelerated rate of evaporation which far surpasses the water we extract.

Investigating the sumptuous palaces of Salzburg's prince-archbishops, we discover some "secret" passions. Then we relax in Austria's woodsy "Sound of Music" land, the Salzkammergut Lakes District. We soar high into the mountains to tour magical ice caves and then stroll little spa towns where Europe's crowned heads once "took to the baths".
