[close] Welcome to The Discriminating Fangirl's Read Anything Book Club! Use this group to talk about your reads, recent and otherwise, and to find new books and bookworm friends! This isn't your typical book club. We don't have a monthly read, and we don't do read-alongs. What we do is talk about the books we've been reading and share our thoughts, much like we do on our blog, and we want you to join in! Much of our focus is on speculative fiction and romance, but we welcome discussion of pretty much any genre. We're also open to comics/graphic novels talk, too. How Discussion Works: If you'd like to talk about a particular book, first search the group for the title. If no one has already created a thread for it, start one up! Make your thread title the book title and the author's name (i.e. "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" by Ransom Riggs) so other users will be able to easily find it. At the moment, we have four genre folders: Romance, Speculative Fiction, Comics/Graphic Novels, and Other Genres. Romance covers all subgenres, while Speculative Fiction would include science fiction, fantasy, urban fantasy, and so on. If you aren't sure where your book fits, you can drop a mod a note to ask or just put it where you think it should go. Spoilers are inevitable when discussing books, but please put any major spoilers (e.g. character deaths, end of the book spoilers, etc) under a spoiler tag (Spoiler text goes here). If someone's looking for a new book, we don't want to completely ruin the surprise for them. There is an introduction thread, so drop by and say hello!

In this group we can discuss and share about the books of the various sub-genres of Romance, especially those, that make us get both emotionally and mentally involved in the characters and their stories, at times make us weepy but more often cause us to smile ...and end with us feeling wonderful and satisfied, with the happily ever after always achieved :-)
