Munna Bhai

Munna Bhai is an Indian fictional character who appears in the Munna Bhai film series. The character is created by Rajkumar Hirani and portrayed by Sanjay Dutt.

Overview

Murli Prasad Sharma (Munna Bhai) is portrayed by Sanjay Dutt. He is a "Bhai" - a leader in the Mumbai underworld. His nickname, Munna Bhai has a double meaning. It could refer to the form of "Bhai" as an honorific, as the word traditionally translates as "brother"; however, within the context of Mumbai slang, "Bhai" has also come to refer to a hoodlum. His sidekick is Circuit (portrayed by Arshad Warsi). They both speak in Bambaiya Hindi, a dialect specific to Mumbai, India.

Munnabhai M.B.B.S

Munna Bhai was first introduced in the 2003 film Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. which involves his adventures as a faux-medical student, who finally tells the truth about himself and learns to help people along the way.

Lage Raho Munnabhai

In the second movie, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Munna Bhai becomes a faux-professor. He begins, thereafter to see the image of Mahatma Gandhi who persuades him to stop pretending he is a professor and who teaches him to help other people solve their problems through Gandhism, which Munna Bhai terms Gandhigiri.

Lage Raho Munna Bhai (pronounced [ləˈɡeː rəˈɦoː mʊnnaːˈbʱaːi] meaning "Carry On, Munna Bhai") is a 2006 Indian comedy film directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. It is the follow-up to the 2003 film Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. with Sanjay Dutt reprising his role as Munna Bhai, a Mumbai (Bombay) underworld don. In Lage Raho Munna Bhai, the eponymous lead character starts to see the spirit of Mahatma Gandhi. Through his interactions with Gandhi, he begins to practice what he refers to as Gandhigiri (a neologism for Gandhism) to help ordinary people solve their problems.

The film was well received by critics and had a number of prominent screenings. It was a box office success and received a "blockbuster" rating by the website Box Office India after grossing over ₹1.63 billion (US$24 million) worldwide, the equivalent to ₹2.73 billion (US$40 million) when adjusted for inflation, 2016 . It was the recipient of a number of awards, including four National Film Awards.Lage Raho Munna Bhai was the first Hindi film to be shown at the United Nations, and was screened at the Tous Les Cinema du Monde section of the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. The film popularised the term Gandhigiri. Vidhu Vinod Chopra submitted the film as an independent entry for the 2007 Academy Award for Best Foreign Film.

Slimane Raho

Slimane Raho (born 20 October 1975 in Oran) is an Algerian international football player who currently plays for Olympique Noisy-le-Sec in the French CFA2. Raho represented the Algeria national team from 1998 to 2010, participating in the 2002, 2004 and 2010 Africa Cup of Nations.
