Atheist in Pakistan wants to live in UK

I received this email from Kashif in Pakistan. He no longer has any religious beliefs: prayers don’t work and if there was a god he wouldn’t allow evil. As an atheist, Kashif fears for his safety in Pakistan and would like to live in the UK.

If any member of Atheism UK Pakistan-Flag-Wallpapers-70pxWhas any advice for him, please let me know.

Dear Chris Street,

I have been not a very religious person in my past life but still I used to go to mosque 2 or 3 times a week but last week I suddenly realized that I don’t have any religious beliefs left in my heart and I felt free of so many troubles of not being caring any religious belief and since last week I didn’t go to mosque and I didn’t feel any guilt or some thing close to it rather than I felt very satisfy and my heat felt lighter and it seemed to that there was some invisible burden on shoulder which was lifted automatically.

Now the question is why I change into Atheist ?

The answer is since my child hood I prayed to god for every thing I wanted to have but as far as I remember not a single prayer is answered because I never have what I wanted but instead I always had the things i worked hard for it means if I work hard I will achieve my goal but if I don’t work hard and pray to god in order to achieve my goal it will happen which means there is no god it is just a psychological phenomenon which is used by people in order to achieve some thing which is out of there reach and they are not capable of achieving it by themselves so they turn to god and pray for that thing also in order to hide there incapability to others. Same happens with me when I work hard to achieve any specific goal normally I achieve it but when I pray to god to achieve that goal it never happens it means there is no existence of god in the world and after thinking a lot on the matter I realized there is no god in the world other there wise there wouldn’t be evil things happening in the world like HIV , cancer and other diseases and there wouldn’t be any war in the world if the god truly exists there and wouldn’t be so many injustice if god truly existed.

Now another thing is that If god exists in this world and still bad and evil thing happening with human beings which means god make them to happen which creates a picture of a bad god and as far as my knowledge is concerned bad god is no god at all so why we worship some one who allowed to happen bad and evil things in our lives why not we make ourselves capable enough by working hard to achieve all we want and leave the old concept of god behind.

Now the worrying thing is that my religion was Islam and I live in Pakistan where changing religion is a religious crime and government do not support atheist and the lawful punishment is death, so that’s why I can not disclose it to any one here in Pakistan that I am an atheist even I can not discuss it to my own wife that I have left my religion because if some one knows about it my life will be in real danger.

I want to move to UK or Canada or any European country where as atheist my life is safe from religious fanatics.

Please advice me how I could get immigration in one of these countries because I can not speak any one here about it and I can not keep my mouth shut on that matter for very long time because some day some thing will come out of my mouth which will disclose my atheism to my relative, or friends and they will become my serious enemies and try to kill me any chance they get.

Look forward to you quick reply.

Regards, Kashif

Two ex-muslim atheists are about to be deported to Pakistan on Tuesday 5th August 2014. They have lived in UK for 5 years. I visited them this week in prison. They have failed to get asylum as atheists and are desperate to escape deportation. If they return to Pakistan this Tuesday they face near certain death by family, apostate killers or the Taliban.

Sign the Change.org Petition NOW!

The Home Office must cancel the deportations on humanitarian protection and human rights grounds. Today!
