My son-in-law has a Phillips Norelco Reflex electric razor. This cable is perfect for him because he travels overseas for work. He can charge his razor from any USB port and does not have to worry about bringing an additional adapter. The cable is 4.5 feet long which is plenty long.

I do a lot of traveling and knowing I don't have to worry about adapters makes this a great option, as I always have my laptop with me. Certainly for short trips, the charge in my razor lasts long enough to get me home, but for more than a week, it's great. For those that like to use their razor in the car, this is a must! I charged my razor using my computer's usb as well as my USB in the car and using my iPhone adapter plug. All worked well and supplied the necessary charge. This is probably not necessary for those who simply use their razor at home. The cord is plenty long and is slightly more bulky when coiled than the cord provided with my razor. This cable provides a good alternative to the two-prong electrical cord for those that would have limited or no access to the proper outlet and voltage. I was provided a cable to test and provide an honest evaluation.

I shave in the car but hated having to use an inverter and my previous shaver quit working shortly after using an inverter. So far this had been the perfect solution and it's much smaller. I just stick it in the glove box when not using it. Perfect for travel too since I always have a USB charger with me.

I got this cable and I love it. I can use my USB adapter in my car, or even charge it off my laptop while I'm traveling. Just nice to be able to just leave this in my laptop case so it's there when I need it. I've got the Norelco Reflex Razor.

Right up front I want you to know that the people at Mission Cables contacted me, sent a cable at no cost and asked that I write a review. So, here are my impressions. I consider my recent purchase of a Philips Norelco Aquatec shaver to be the best thing I have done for my face in a long, long time. This cable only reinforces that opinion. The cable is well built and functional. I've now charged my new shaver twice with this cable. It performs at least as well as the charger that came with the shaver. I think this cable will be a welcome addition to the personal care items for Road Warriors who find thier hotel rooms grossly lacking in the number of electrical outlets available. The same will be true for folks like me who live in a 30 year old home and face the same difficulty. Having the ability to use a USB port as a charging device is a great idea. This cable performs at a very high standard, meaning that once I plugged it in I had no reason for concern. I will continue to use this cable because of its quality, convenience, and utility. I think it is a winner product.

The description says it works with the 6948XL but it does not. Fortunately I had an old compatible razor lying around that it did work with. But it does not work with all the razors mentioned. Just check the input of your razor to be sure. Great idea though.
