Sarah Elizabeth Blaskow (born 23 September 1976, Sydney, New South Wales), is an Australian singer-songwriter and musician. After fronting Sydney-based band Acquiesce from the mid-1990s, Blasko developed her solo career from 2002. In 2007, she won the 'Best Pop Release' for What the Sea Wants, the Sea Will Have at the ARIA Music Awards. Her latest album, As Day Follows Night, won the 'Best Female Artist' at the 2009 ARIA Awards.
Blasko was born in Sydney, New South Wales in 1976, soon after her family returned from French-speaking Réunion where both parents were Christian missionaries. Upon return to Australia her parents often changed churches, with Blasko singing alongside her mother, and settled at a Pentecostal church in Sydney which later became Hillsong. Her mother was a nurse and her father a teacher from Hungarian/German background. While in high school, Blasko and her older sister Kate formed a jazz-blues group. By the age of 15, Blasko was concerned she "wouldn't make it", being mindful of the apocalyptic message of the End of the World and Christ's Return. She eventually left the church in her last year at school, declaring that its emphasis on material success "just didn't fit" with her or her interpretation of the scriptures. However, she thinks she still believes in God, despite her perception that it is an unpopular admission in Australia. She had no formal singing lessons until aged 19 and started playing guitar. At university, Blasko completed a degree in English literature and film.

Plot: Joe and Benny are two cowboys are on tour in the Wild West as a singing duo, usually without a penny in their pockets to spare. Susanne wants to stop the wedding, so she sneaks aboard Joe and Benny's wagon to persuade them to intervene. Dave brands them as kidnappers, forcing them to flee as outlaws to one of the families tyrannized by Dave. Together, they strike back at Dave, at which point Maria sees that he's the wrong man for her.

This video doesn't have so much interaction, since the point is more to see me discuss my travel plans in Japan. Please see the blog post ( http://www.fluentin3months.com/japan-plans/ ) for much more details and let me know your thoughts so that I can improve on my plans to make the trip much more interesting, and get some nice footage for you here on this channel!
I'll take one break next week from uploading videos so that I can improve my interaction abilities, and tidy up my essential vocab that's missing and tweak my grammar issues. I've been learning so many things lately, but feel I need to internalize them so that I have a solid level where I am, and can start actually improving on that towards B2 if I can, or at least give myself a super solid upper B1 level. Time will tell how far I get!
Starting this time in 2 weeks you can expect updates with 3 (or 4) new videos during the last month up to the end of the project.
Please note that the point of this video is to see me speak spontaneously (albeit about a particular topic I'm confident about and had a chance to rephrase things better in advance), but that there will be plenty of times to see me interact with someone who controls the conversation later, since I realize this video doesn't demonstrate that, as I cut our 20 minute conversation down to keep the theme relevant so you can find out my plans from January.

It's a pity the Skype software broke 2 weeks ago when I recorded a nice chat we had, but I wanted to focus today's video on my travel plans, since you'll see plenty of other videos of me interacting with people soon.
When I'm in Japan I'll make several videos where other people interview me, and I've plans to make much more natural and interesting conversations in my final month! Keep a look out!
