How I did the HARRIHEALEY02 intro :)

www.youtube.com/user/Ratedparental/videos One thing I didn't explain is how long it took: FYI - when I say "1 WEEK" - I mean in the evenings in my spare time - average is between 1-4 hours per night, and some whole evenings while in hotels when staying away from home due to work. Editing is not my profession - it's just a hobby, I still have to go to work and play Minecraft with Chay!! 1 hour - filming. I reviewed footage from my first "take" and wasn't happy, so I filmed it again! 1 week - applying the mask when I enter the lift. Most of this was experimenting - I couldn't "automate" the mask, so had to draw this in manually, making 'key frames' and get After Effects to move the mask between these 'key frames'. All in all, there are about 100 key frames to make that mask move like it does. 1 night - the blue button and masking it when hand in the way 3 nights - the "light between the doors" and getting it to track the door line when the camera moves slightly (I tried to keep camera steady, but impossible to be rock solid without tripod) 3 nights - the "break down sequence" 2 nights - the "break down sequence sounds" 2 nights - making the digital font in Adobe Illustrator with "HARRI HEALEY 0" (design in this intro was version 2!) 1 week - matching "HARRIHEALEY02" to fit in the LCD screen and "motion track" with the video 2 nights - the music and matching it with the video 2 nights - "final touches" All in all - from "INITIAL IDEA" to "UPLOAD" took about a month to complete. Harri is a good mate - we are always texting each other and sharing experiences and I value his friendship. I've known him since he was 13 and we are quite alike in our interests. The time and effort this has taken has given me some more experience and I enjoyed doing it. But you've got to start with a passion for your project, followed up by good ideas, and good video footage that fits in with your imaginary story line. These intros are NOT EASY and require TIME, PATIENCE and a PASSION and DESIRE to create the best intro possible intro. I am really fussy and have an attention to detail attitude, so that when people see my work I can proudly say ""I"" DID THIS!
