It was my second trip to the island exploring this wonderful place and the game reserve which was established by Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan in 1977. The island is located 170km west of the capital city of Abu Dhabi. The late Sheikh Zayed developed the 87 square kilometre island to ensure the survival of the sand gazelle and oryx.

Das Resort liegt auf der ehemaligen Privatinsel Sir Bani Yas, die dem verstorbenen Sheikh Zayed gehörte.
Zusammen mit seiner Lieblingsfrau genoß er diese paradiesische Ruhe und beobachtete vom Jeep aus die unberührte Natur. Die Insel ist Teil des größten Naturreservats der Vereinigten Arabischen Emirate. Das Ambiente liegt zwischen Wüstenromantik und Safarifeeling - der Transfer mit Wasserflugzeug oder Helikopter zum Resort ist unvergesslich.
Der Aufenthalt kann auch gut mit den anderen Anantara-Hotels in Abu Dhabi kombiniert werden: Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara oder Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa by Anantara.

Snorkeling and diving off Sir Bani Yas Island with Al Mahara Dive Center. Sir Bani Yas Island is well known here as Shiek Zayed started the "greening the desert" here by planting over 250 Million trees on the island. There are dolphins and loggerhead sea turtles on the coast of the island and they boast a great Black tip reef shark population just on the beach. Waters-ports center opening soon.

Yas was the first rapper authorized to perform by the Iranian government, and became one of the most popular rappers in Iran. Sir Bani Yas (صير بنى ياس) is a natural island located 250 km (160 mi) southwest of Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. It lies 9 km (5.6 mi) offshore from Jebel Dhanna, which serves as a crossing point to other islands such as Dalma. Sir Bani Yas is 17.5 km (10.9 mi) from north to south and 9 km (5.6 mi) from east to west making it the largest natural island in the United Arab Emirates. Located just off the shore of the Western region of Abu Dhabi, Sir Bani Yas island was originally home to Arabia's largest wildlife reserve. Spanning over 87 km2 (34 sq mi), the reserve was established in 1971 by the late ruler and founder of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Thanks to decades of intensive conservation work and ecological investment, it is now home to thousands of large free-roaming animals and several million trees and plants. A bird sanctuary as well as a wildlife reserve, Sir Bani Yas showcases nature through activities such as adventure safaris, kayaking, mountain biking, archery, hiking and snorkeling.

Sir Bani Yas - A Legacy
The late president and founder of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan started his visionary 'Greening of the Desert' programme on Sir Bani Yas Island 40 years ago. Under Sheikh Zayed's patronage, several million trees were planted and numerous animal species introduced to the island, including gazelle, oryx and ostrich. Sheikh Zayed's legacy is very much alive on Sir Bani Yas Island to this day and in celebration of the UAE's 40th National Day, here is a message about Sheikh Zayed's legacy in the words of Sheikha Mahra Al Qassimi taken from a documentary filmed by National Geographic on Sir Bani Yas. -

Ecocoast Geotube Breakwater Construction: Sir Bani Yas Island, Abu Dhabi
60 second overview of a breakwater construction using geocontainers at Sir Bani Yas Island by Ecocoast Contracting. The Desert Islands Resort and Spa is situated on the exposed northern side of Sir Bani Yas Island surrounded by a flat rocky reef. Due to its location, previous attempts to create a beach for hotel guests had been unsuccessful. Ecocoast was requested to provide an alternative solution which consisted of a low crested segmented breakwater created from sand-filled geotextile containers. The design consisted of over 80 containers, each 25m long and weighing in excess of 300 tonnes. An alternative to a larger rock breakwater, the use of geotextiles provides numerous benefits. The primary advantage is a reduced footprint which avoids sensitive hamour habitat areas off the hotel'... -

Co-ordinated by Peter Hellyer and Archaeological Director Dr. Joseph Elders, a team first started excavations on Sir Bani Yas in the early 1990s as part of the Abu Dhabi Islands Archaeological Survey. The pre-Islamic monastery, built by the Church of the East, dates from the late 6th Century AD and is the most southerly identified in the Arabian Gulf. Further excavations and the opening of the site to international acclaim are part of an on-going development programme for the Abu Dhabi Islands, overseen by the Tourism Development & Investment Company TDIC.

60 second overview of a breakwater construction using geocontainers at Sir Bani Yas Island by Ecocoast Contracting.
The Desert Islands Resort and Spa is situated on the exposed northern side of Sir Bani Yas Island surrounded by a flat rocky reef. Due to its location, previous attempts to create a beach for hotel guests had been unsuccessful. Ecocoast was requested to provide an alternative solution which consisted of a low crested segmented breakwater created from sand-filled geotextile containers. The design consisted of over 80 containers, each 25m long and weighing in excess of 300 tonnes. An alternative to a larger rock breakwater, the use of geotextiles provides numerous benefits. The primary advantage is a reduced footprint which avoids sensitive hamour habitat areas off the hotel's coast. The inherent softness of the structure also provides a safer experience for beach users and the natural colouring and organic forms of the containers provide lower visual impact on the environment.
The previously exposed rocky barren foreshore of the Hotel has now been transformed into a sandy beach protected by an eco-friendly reef in-line with Sir Ban Yas Island's ethos of conservation and preservation. This uniquely designed low-crested reef mimics natural fringing reefs which break waves offshore and protect the beach.

Yesterday I attended one of the Drag Nights taking place at Yas Marina’s very own NHRA 1/4 mile drag strip in a practice-testing format. This allows participants to unleash the power of their stock or tuned cars and bikes in a safe and controlled environment. Video shows many different races of the participant’s cars and a full walk around of the cars that were present, enjoy :D

Kek için
Şeker ve yumurtaları çırpın.
Tereyağını eritin, kenara alıp çikolatayı ilave edin ve karıştırarak eritin.
Eriyen çikolatayı yumurtalı karışıma karıştırarak ilave edin.
Un, kabartma tozu ve vanilyayı da ekleyip yeniden çırpın ve yağlanmış kek kalıplarına ikiye bölüştürün.
180 derecede önceden ısıtılmış fırında 30 dakika pişirin.
Ganaj için
Kremayı ısıtın ve kenara alıp çikolatayı eritin. Soğutun.
Krema için
Krema ve pudra şekerini iyice sertleşinceye kadar çırpın ve dolapta iyice soğutun.
Birleştirmek için
Kekleri iyice soğuyunca ortadan ikiye bölüp 4 parça kek elde edin.
Bir tanesini önünüze alıp, krema sürün, çilek yerleştirin ve ortasına çikolata dökün.
Üstüne 2. keki yerleştirin. Ve aynı şekilde tüm katlar bitene kadar dizin.
En son katı koyduktan sonra en üstüne çikolatayı sürüp, dolaba atın ve soğutun. Ardından dilimleyerek servis edin.
Üzerini istediğiniz gibi süsleyebilirsiniz.

İç harç için elmaları soyup rendeleyin. Bir tavaya elmaları alın ve şekeri ilave edip suyunu çekinceye kadar kavurun.
Ceviz ve tarçını ekleyip çevirin ve kenara alıp soğutun.
Hamurdan bir parça alın ve elinizle açıp içine elmalı harçtan doldurun. Poğaça gibi kapatıp fırın tepsisine dizin. Tüm hamuru bu şekilde hazırlayıp fırın tepsisine dizin ve 180 derecede önceden ısıtılmış fırında 20-25 dakika pişirin.
