16 September 2014 Flying from/to Pyongyang on a pleasure flight to experience the 148. It is the newest plane in the fleet. Also it is the most westernish plane they have. The engines are quite big, or just to close to the fuselage, making it impossible to get the entire engine in picture and have some sights out of the window. For details of the interior have a look at my Air Koryo An148 review video. Filmed from row 6 Aircraft registration: P-671 More details and photos from the flight at: http://tinek6.blogspot.com/2014/12/air-koryo-antonov-148.html
WELCOME TO THE AIR KORYO FLEET SERIES #11 Many of you may not be aware of the fact, that aviation videography on the ground and in the air is hard work and the output is not always rewarding. Filming is not only time and money consuming, but requires accurate preparation, especially when asking for cooperation of the airline, crews, security and authorities. Once accepted and approved, it is all a matter of weather, seating on board, fellow passengers, camera condition and last but not least the ability of the person behind the lense. Therefore I always prefer to plan my own tours well in advance to make sure nothing goes wrong. Planning a trip to North Korea is a different story. It is impossible to get permissions from the airline, the crews, security and the authorities in advance. Ye...

Various planes at London's Gatwick Airport (LGW) on a very windy afternoon on the last day of November 2011! On a day with huge public sector strikes, they were warning huge delays at all airports across the UK and I was off school because of the strikes so I decided to go down to Gatwick and was suprised that there was pretty much no delays what so ever. So this is what I saw! INCLUDES: Virgin Atlantic 747, BA 777's, Air Transat A330, Rossiya Antonov An-148, Ryanair 737's, Air Baltic 737, Lots of Easyjets and loads more! Also look at some of those awesome crosswinds! An extremely gusty wind hitting the airport from the south/south west, causing abit of trouble! At 17:00 check out that A320, never seen or heard of them before, but it looks a pretty awesome livery! So yeah quite a fe...

FLIGHT #3 AN-24RV UR-MSI Zaporizhia - Kiev (IEV), March 19, 2014 In March 2014 I still had some unused vacation days from the previous year and so I decided to do a little tour of the network of Motor Sich Airlines, based in Zaporizhia, in the Central South Eastern part of the Ukraine. My pal, Steve Kinder needed no persuasion and instantly agreed to join. The plan was to sample the Classic AN-24 in depth because the AN-148 and AN-74 of Motor Sich are by no doubt bound to survive their older sister by years to come. Our original plan for Day Three was a rotation onboard AN-24 from Zaporizhia to Moscow (Vnukovo) and back and to remain onboard during ground time in Moscow. However, the Ukraine crisis changed our plans completely. Motor Sich was informed about tightened security measures ...
