Kristian Lundin

Kristian Lundin (born 7 May 1973) is a Swedish composer, music producer and songwriter.

Biography

Beginning his career as a member of the Swedish duo Amadin (John Amatiello & Kristian Lundin), Kristian's writing and production talents were quickly recognized by music industry icon Denniz PoP, who invited him to join the Cheiron Studios team just as they began their incredible string of successes in 1993.

Kristian's big break internationally came with the song "Quit Playing Games (with My Heart)" which he co-produced with Max Martin for the Backstreet Boys. As an encore, Kristian quickly followed that success by co-writing & producing "Tearin' Up My Heart" for NSYNC, which became their hot ticket to the charts.

Following the death of Denniz PoP, Kristian continued to work with fellow members of the Cheiron team, including Max Martin, Andreas Carlsson and Jake Schulze. Together they carried on the hit-making legacy by writing and producing hits like "Bye Bye Bye" for NSYNC, "Born to Make You Happy" for Britney Spears, "That's the Way It Is" and I'm Alive for Celine Dion.

Martin Karl Sandberg (born February 26, 1971), known professionally as Max Martin, is a Swedish music producer and songwriter. He rose to prominence in the mid-1990s after making a string of major hits for artists such as the Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears and NSYNC. Some of his earlier hits include "I Want It That Way" (1999), "...Baby One More Time" (1999) and "It's My Life" (2000).

His trademark during the second half of the 1990s and the early 2000s was a danceable, keyboard-laden pop sound that blended music styles such as funk and Europop. However, with Kelly Clarkson's songs "Since U Been Gone" (2004) and "Behind These Hazel Eyes" (2005), Martin stepped back into the spotlight after reinventing himself with a heavier, rock-tinged sound.

Since 1999, Martin has written and co-written 21 Billboard Hot 100 number-one hits (most of which he has also produced or co-produced) in the United States, including Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" (2008), Pink's "So What" (2008), Britney Spears's "Hold It Against Me" (2011), Maroon 5's "One More Night" (2012), Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off" (2014). Martin is the songwriter with the third-most number one singles on the chart, behind only Paul McCartney (32) and John Lennon (26).

The name is used in several languages, among them Slovak, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish, Bulgarian and Croatian.

In some languages people with the name are sometimes named after the cross, not after Christ. The word cross in in Bulgarian, Macedonian, Serbian is kr'st and in Russian is krest, in some cases pronounced krist. In contrast Christ in these Slavic languages is called Hristos, which confuses to which of both nouns the name sounds more similar. The name may have a third meaning in Bulgarian and Macedonian, in which the word kr'sten means baptized and has the same as the word for cross.

On the other the hand the Slavic and the English word for cross comes from the Latin word crux (cruci) "stake" which is perhaps of Phoencian or Punic (Phoencio-Carthaginian ) origin. It may come from the Latin word crio, "to torment".
