Stephen Paul Manderson (born 27 November 1983), better known by his stage name Professor Green, is an English rapper and songwriter. He is the co-host of Lip Sync Battle UK on Channel 5.
He was signed to The Beats, a record label run by Mike Skinner and Ted Mayhem, until 12 February 2008, when the label terminated. He rose to success upon winning the inaugural JumpOff MySpace £50,000 battle rap tournament in July 2008. Following this in 2009, he worked with Lily Allen on her 2009 concert tour.
In 2006 he released his first mixtape, Lecture #1. After his first record label, The Beats, went under he produced on his own an EP called The Green EP. After he toured with Lily Allen he was signed to Virgin Records and released "I Need You Tonight" featuring Ed Drewett, based on INXS's "Need You Tonight" through the label. He also joined up with Allen on his second single "Just Be Good to Green", which is based on The SOS Band's "Just Be Good to Me".
In July 2010, Green released his debut album, Alive Till I'm Dead, which features guest vocals from Lily Allen, Emeli Sandé, Fink, Labrinth and Example, as well as The Streets. He followed this with the album At Your Inconvenience in October 2011 and Growing Up In Public in September 2014. In September 2015, Green released his autobiography Lucky.
"In Public" is a song by American singer-songwriter Kelis, featuring American rapper Nas. It was released on April 4, 2005 as the fourth and final single from Kelis' third studio album, Tasty (2003). The song was written by Rockwilder and Kelis, with former also producing the track.
Like previous singles "Trick Me" and "Millionaire", "In Public" was not released in Kelis' native United States. Although no music video was filmed for the song, it managed to reach number 17 on the UK Singles Chart. The track was originally due to be released as a double A-side single with the track "Glow", although this did not happen and a reason for the change has never been given.
"In Public" was met with mixed reviews from music critics. Adam Webb of Yahoo! Music cited the song as one of Tasty's highlights, stating that it "espouses the delights of al fresco sex over a clinical electro beat and features a filthy rap courtesy of new husband Nas. Suffice to say it leaves Beyonce and Jay-Z sounding like Mary Whitehouse and Cliff Richard." Conversely, Andy Kellman of AllMusic viewed the track as one of the album's "miscues thwarting perfection" and advised listeners to skip past it.
Green is the color between blue and yellow on the spectrum of visible light. It is evoked by light with a predominant wavelength of roughly 495–570 nm. In the subtractive color system, used in painting and color printing, it is created by a combination of yellow and blue, or yellow and cyan; in the RGB color model, used on television and computer screens, it is one of the additive primary colors, along with red and blue, which are mixed in different combinations to create all other colors.
The modern English word green comes from the Middle English and Anglo-Saxon word grene, from the same Germanic root as the words "grass" and "grow". It is the color of living grass and leaves and as a result is the color most associated with springtime, growth and nature. By far the largest contributor to green in nature is chlorophyll, the chemical by which plants photosynthesize and convert sunlight into chemical energy. Many creatures have adapted to their green environments by taking on a green hue themselves as camouflage. Several minerals have a green color, including the emerald, which is colored green by its chromium content.
Growing Up or Growin' Up may refer to:
Growing Up in Public is the third studio album by British rapper Professor Green. It was released on 22 September 2014 through Virgin Records. The album features appearances from the likes of Tori Kelly, Example, Mr Probz, Rizzle Kicks and James Craise among others. The album continues the themes covered on his second studio album, At Your Inconvenience.
The album's first promotional single, "Not Your Man", was released as an "instant grat" through the iTunes Store on July 7, 2014. The album's second promotional single, "I Need Church", was released as an "instant grat" on July 16. The album's lead single, "Lullaby", featuring singer-songwriter Tori Kelly, was released on 14 September 2014. The song received its radio debut on BBC Radio 1 on 28 July 2014, but was premiered at the Leicester Music Festival at Welford Road Stadium on 25 July. The album's third promotional single, "Dead Man's Shoes", was released on 19 September 2014. "Little Secrets", featuring Mr Probz, is the album's second single. It was released on 7 December 2014, peaking at number 83 on the UK Singles Chart.

At 16, Martin Read found himself living on the streets. Since then, he's spent time in prison and suffered from mental health issues. But he has picked himself up and is now a film director. This, his first film, is made in and around Bristol and tells the stories of the young people he meets who are not registered anywhere as homeless, but are forced to sleep on friends' sofas, in tents, in caves, under bridges and on the streets. Since the introduction of the bedroom tax, benefit sanctions and the privatisation of many hostels, the under-25s have been hit hard. Charities estimate that the real number of 'hidden homeless' is three times as high as the official homeless figure, so that almost half a million people are now sleeping rough or being supported by friends. Martin's past experi...

My apologies if what I am sayings litigious
My apologies if what I am saying offends
But I feel weve become a generation of whingers
And Im sure itll only bring us down in the end
When things dont go your way
I see you lookin round tryin to find somebody to blame
But your fingerpointing aint taking you places
And that smoking is bad for your health
So whos to blame when you trip on your own laces?
Maybe you should blame yourself
Should we all just march it back to the schoolyard?
Try finding the child who threw the first stone?
Ring-ring the money train is at the station
Ka-ching-ching the sweet smell of compensation
I pity men who try to make it alone
I take the system for a ride
Its easy if you swallow your pride
If you can see a lie through to the end
Ive got a bone here in my leg
Thats what my doctor said
