Marcus Ramone Cooper (born December 27, 1984), better known by his stage name Pleasure P is an American R&B singer-songwriter, who experienced success as a member of the group Pretty Ricky before embarking on a solo career in 2007. His debut album The Introduction of Marcus Cooper was released on June 2009. On October, 2014, Pleasure P and the rest of Pretty Ricky officialized on Instagam a reunion tour with a Bluestars 2 album for 2015. His first reunion single with Pretty Ricky is called "Puddles" and has been released during Valentine's Day 2015. It was the most requested song on South Florida's 99 Jamz radio station in the days following its release.

Career

2009-2012: The Introduction of Marcus Cooper

After leaving the group Pretty Ricky. Pleasure P began working on his solo career, he released his solo debut single "Did You Wrong" on July 22, 2008. The single debuted at #90 on the Billboard 100 Hot charts, and debuted at #20 on the top R&B/Hip-Hop charts as well. Pleasure P also released a 2008 EP entitled "Boyfriend #2", including "Did You Wrong" and a promo single "Boyfriend #2", released digitally and as an LP disc. Videos for "Did You Wrong" and "Boyfriend #2" were released digitally and on MySpace. Later on in 2009 he also released the song "Under" from the album. His solo debut album, The Introduction of Marcus Cooper was released on June 9, 2009. The album was originally to be released in January, but was finally released after several delays. Pleasure P's career received a boost by being featured in the second single from Flo Rida's album R.O.O.T.S., gaining publicity from his presence on its guest list.

Pleasure (2013 film)

Pleasure is a 2013 Swedish short film that won the "Semaine de la Critique" also known as the Canal + Award at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. Directed by Ninja Thyberg the film tells the story of a girl Marie (played by Jenny Hutton) who agrees to perform a double-anal sex scene in a hard porn video so she will not lose her job. The short film also tells about the darker side of the porn industry. By winning the award the film will be broadcast on Canal + in France.

Baptism (song)

"Baptism", also known as "Down with the Old Man (Up with the New)", is a song written by Mickey Cates, depicting a believer's baptism down an eastern Texas river.

In 1999, the song was recorded by Kenny Chesney and Randy Travis on the album Everywhere We Go and in 2000, Randy Travis recorded it on the album Inspirational Journey. The solo version was released as a single, peaking at 75th position at the country singles chart of the USA.

In 2001 the Randy Travis solo recording was awarded an GMA Dove Award in the "Country song of the year" category.

In 1999 the song was recorded by Susie Luchsinger on the album Raised on Faith.

Production history

Lenny Kravitz originally intended this album to be a 1970s style funk album, simply titled The Funk Album. However, at the point of near completion of the record, he changed his mind when he picked up an acoustic guitar to write the songs for the album. Having stated that songs started pouring out of him, Kravitz decided that his special project could wait. Instead, Kravitz recorded a more straightforward rock album similar to his 1989 album Let Love Rule. The album was recorded at Hotel Edison studios in Miami, Florida and also features a contribution from rapper Jay-Z on the song "Storm". "Storm" was originally titled "(I Can't Make It) Another Day" and was originally recorded with superstar Michael Jackson. Kravitz had previously played guitar on Jay-Z's album The Blueprint²: The Gift & the Curse. Kravitz had mentioned in an interview that at the time of the album's production, he was in dispute with his record label, who did not agree with his decisions to alter his project, saying that the album featured some darker material representing his stage of depression and other problems he was going through at that time.

Pain (philosophy)

Philosophy of pain may be about suffering in general or more specifically about physical pain. The experience of pain is, due to its seeming universality, a very good portal through which to view various aspects of human life. Discussions in philosophy of mind concerning qualia has given rise to a body of knowledge called philosophy of pain, which is about pain in the narrow sense of physical pain, and which must be distinguished from philosophical works concerning pain in the broad sense of suffering. Historical views of pain

Two near contemporaries in the 18th and 19th centuries, Jeremy Bentham and the Marquis de Sade had very different views on these matters. Bentham saw pain and pleasure as objective phenomena, and defined utilitarianism on that principle. However the Marquis de Sade offered a wholly different view - which is that pain itself has an ethics, and that pursuit of pain, or imposing it, may be as useful and just as pleasurable, and that this indeed is the purpose of the state - to indulge the desire to inflict pain in revenge, for instance, via the law (in his time most punishment was in fact the dealing out of pain). The 19th-century view in Europe was that Bentham's view had to be promoted, de Sade's (which it found painful) suppressed so intensely that it - as de Sade predicted - became a pleasure in itself to indulge. The Victorian culture is often cited as the best example of this hypocrisy.
