Matthew Scott Garza (born November 26, 1983) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Chicago Cubs of Major League Baseball.
Garza was born in Selma, California. He attended Washington Union High School and Fresno State.
He was the 25th pick in the first round of the 2005 Major League Baseball Draft, drafted by the Minnesota Twins.
Entering 2006, Garza was ranked as the Minnesota Twins seventh-best prospect by Baseball America. He gained attention for rising through the ranks of the Twins' minor league system, starting the season at Single-A Fort Myers and ending at the major league level, pitching with the Double-A New Britain Rock Cats and the Triple-A Rochester Red Wings in between. Garza was a combined 14–4 at the three minor league levels in 2006, with a 1.99 ERA and 154 strikeouts in 135 ⅔ innings. He earned All-Star berths in the Single-A Florida State League and Double-A Eastern League. Backed by those numbers, Garza earned the USA Today Minor League Player of the Year Award for 2006, the second consecutive year in which a Twin won the award (in 2005, Garza's teammate Francisco Liriano was the winner). On August 8, Minnesota purchased Garza's contract, promoting him to the majors to replace the injured Liriano. Garza is one of a small number of players to advance through the minors and reach the major league level in a single season. On August 11, his major league debut, Garza allowed seven earned runs in 2 ⅔ innings to the Toronto Blue Jays. Garza earned his first win on August 23 against the Baltimore Orioles, allowing just one unearned run in six innings.
Johnny Brent (Ortiz) Cueto [KWAY-toe] (born February 15, 1986 in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball.
Cueto was in the Minor Leagues for three seasons, and has excelled at many levels, but really turned heads during the 2007 season. Cueto started his career for the Gulf Coast Reds of the Rookie Gulf Coast League, posting a 5.02 ERA, before being promoted to the High-A Sarasota Reds of the Florida State League, where he finished his 2005 season. Johnny has had progressively better seasons since. In 2006, Cueto was placed in Low A Dayton, blasting out of the gates, and posting a 2.61 ERA, and a 0.88 WHIP. While with Dayton, on May 13, 2006, he threw a rain shortened no-hitter against Wisconsin. He was later promoted back to Sarasota, where he finished his season for the second consecutive year. Poised for a breakout 2007, Cueto was placed, once again, in Sarasota. He pitched 14 games in Sarasota, before going on a hot streak, and advancing through three levels in one season. He burnt through AA Chattanooga, and AAA Louisville throughout the rest of his 2007 campaign. He was named the Reds' Minor League Pitcher of the Year for the second consecutive season.
Ryan Joseph Braun (born November 17, 1983, in Mission Hills, California) is an American right-handed Major League Baseball left fielder for the Milwaukee Brewers. A perennial standout, he was ranked No. 7 by the Sporting News in its 2012 list of the 50 greatest current players in baseball and is the reigning National League MVP.
Braun was a two-time All American baseball player at the University of Miami, where he was named "National Freshman of the Year" by Baseball America in 2003. The Brewers drafted him in the first round (fifth overall) in the 2005 major league draft. He was the team's Minor League Player of the Year in 2006.
Braun has led the National League (NL) twice in slugging percentage (in 2007, while setting the major league rookie record, and 2011), twice in extra-base hits (2008 and 2011), and once in hits (2009). On defense, he led all major league outfielders in fielding percentage in 2008, led NL left fielders in fielding percentage twice (2009 and 2011), and led NL left fielders in range factor in 2009. His 128 home runs through 2010 were the 8th-most by any major leaguer ever through their first four seasons. Through 2011, he was third among all active ballplayers in career slugging percentage, and first among active left fielders in career fielding percentage.
Andrew Stefan McCutchen (born October 10, 1986) is an American professional baseball outfielder with the Pittsburgh Pirates of Major League Baseball.
During McCutchen's senior year at Fort Meade High School in Fort Meade, Florida in 2004 he batted .474 with 8 Home runs, 40 RBI, 45 stolen bases, and only 5 strikeouts. He also played football and ran track.
McCutchen, who had signed with the University of Florida, was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates 11th overall in the 2005 Major League Baseball Draft and signed with the Pirates instead of going to Florida. He started for the South Atlantic League's All-Star team in 2006, his first full season as a professional. At the end of that year, the Pirates named him the organization's Minor League Player of the Year. McCutchen was consistently considered a top prospect, being ranked a top 50 prospect in all four of his minor league seasons by Baseball America, peaking at number 13 before the 2007 season.
On June 3, 2009, after the Pirates traded starting center fielder Nate McLouth to the Atlanta Braves, McCutchen was called up to the majors for the first time. He made his debut the next day, playing the now vacant center field spot and batting leadoff against the New York Mets. He singled in his first career at-bat, off starter Mike Pelfrey. He ended the day with two singles, an RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base in four at bats. He recorded his first career four-hit game five days later, against McLouth and the Braves, in a 7-6 Pirates loss. Two of his hits were triples, making him the first Pirate with two triples in a game since Tike Redman accomplished the feat in 2003.
Jeffrey Joseph Fassero (born January 5, 1963 in Springfield, Illinois) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher.
Fassero was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 22nd round of the 1984 amateur draft, but he bounced around in the minors for several years until he joined the Montreal Expos in 1991. At 28, Fassero was somewhat old for a rookie, but pitched well for the team and eventually made it to the starting rotation by the 1993 season. That same year he posted an impressive ERA of 2.29.
Fassero was traded to the Seattle Mariners after the 1996 season in exchange for Chris Widger and Trey Moore, Fassero had one of his best seasons for the Mariners in 1997. That season he posted a 16-9 won-loss record with a 3.61 ERA in 35 starts.
Fassero enjoyed some stability during his time with the Mariners, but after a mid-season trade to the Texas Rangers in 1999 he would wind up playing on eight different teams in only seven seasons. He proved to no longer be effective as a regular starter, so he was moved into the bullpen. While with the St. Louis Cardinals, Fassero made a few starts in the 2003 season, and would make occasional starts until the end of his career.

I know you think the way I feel
There may be snow up on the mountain
But there's a thaw down under the hill
I maybe getting old
But I got young fashioned ways
I maybe getting old
But I got young fashioned ways
I don't worry about no young one
There'll be no one to take my place
A young horse is fast
But an old horse knows what's going on
A young horse is fast
But an old horse knows what's going on
A young horse may win the race

You know you move me baby,
Just like a hurricane
Oh, you know you move me darling,
Just like an earthquake moves the land
Oh, sometimes I wonder what's gonna happen
To my poor wife and child
She made me love her
Now I can't be satisfied
You know you shook me, you shook me all night long
You know you shook me, pretty mama,
You shook me all night long
Oh, you kept on shakin' me darlin',
Woke up this morning, feel 'round for my shoes,
You know 'bout that babe, had them old walkin' blues.
Woke up this morning, I feel 'round for my shoes,
You know 'bout that babe, Lord, I had them old walkin'
blues.
Leavin' this morning, I had to go ride the blinds.
I've been mistreated, don't mind dying.
This morning, I had to go ride the blinds,
I've been mistreated, Lord, I don't mind dying.
People tell me walkin' blues ain't bad;
Worst old feeling I most ever had.
People tell me the old walkin' blues ain't bad.
Can't tell how long you're gone, can't tell how long you
stay
It's good country fun, it's your home some day
Someday baby, ain't no trouble for me, anymore
Ah keep on dancin' baby, let me dance one dance
Well I know when I go, I'm livin' too fast. Someday
I'll tell him about it, in my neighborhood
Gonna tell that little woman, that she don't do me no

I know you're leaving, and your comin' back home
Oh, without my lovin lady, I can't stay long. Someday
Good Bye baby, ah take my hand
Don't want no woman no, which ain't have no man
Trouble in mind, and I'm blue
Oh you know I won't be blue always
You know the sun is gonna shine in my back door some day
I'm going down to the river
Oh you know I'm gonna sit right down right down there, on
the ground
You know if I get to thinkin' about my baby, I wanna jump
overboard and drown
Well I'm going back to Jackson
Oh you know to my old Jackson, Tennessee
Where you know your girls ain't doin' nothin' but makin'
a fool of me
Well I'm going down to the railroad
Oh you know I'm gonna lay my head right down on the
railroad iron
I'm goin' out walkin',
Walking down through the park
I'm gonna walk in the moonlight,
Till the night gets dark
I'm goin' out walkin'
Along the old avenue
I'm gonna walk for so long
Till shw won't know what to do
I'm goin' out walkin'
Walkin' down along the street
I'm gonna walk wer along beside me,
That girl can't be beat
Don't you bother my baby,
No tellin' what she'll do
The girl she may cut you,
Woke up this morning, feel 'round for my shoes,
You know 'bout that babe, had them old walkin' blues.
People tell me walkin' blues ain't bad;
Worst old feeling I most ever had.
People tell me the old walkin' blues ain't bad.
I'm goin' out walkin',
walking down through the park
I'm gonna walk in the moonlight,
till the night gets dark
I'm goin' out walkin',
along the old avenue
I'm gonna walk for so long,
till she won't know what to do
I'm goin' out walkin',
walkin' down along the street
I'm gonna walk her along beside me,
that girl can't be beat
Don't you bother my baby,
no tellin' what she'll do
The girl she may cut you,
My baby's long and tall,
Shaped like a cannon ball
And every time she loves me,
Oh, you can hear me squall
I cried hmmm, hmmm,
I believe I change my mind
Ah, she said, "I'm so glad I'm livin'",
I said, "Hmm baby, I'm so glad you're mine"
My baby loves me,
I know she loves me right
She lets me lay down,
And I love her all night
I cried hmmm, hmmm,
I believe I change my mind
Ah, she said, "I'm so glad I'm livin'",
I said, "Hmmm baby, I'm so glad you're mine"
My baby love me,
She love me with a thrill
I don't believe,
She tryin' to get nobody killed
I cried hmmm, hmmm,
I believe I change my mind
Ah, she said, "I'm so glad I'm livin'",
Well, I was gone
Gone to the army
I was gone, ver' long time
Well, when I come back home, my baby
Still says she's mine
She still says she's mine
She still says she's mine
She's all right, she's all right
She's all right, she's all right
She's all right, she's all right
Well, I give 'er
Give her all a-my money
Tell me what more, can I do-ooo?

She's all right, she's all right
She's all right, she's all right
(short instrumental break)
Well, I went
Went to the church-house
And I kneeled on my knees to pray
I got to thinkin' about that girl
She drove my
She drove my spirit away
She drove my spirit away
She drove my spirit away
She's all right, she's all right
She's all right, she's all right
(short instrumental break)
Well, I could-a
Could-a had religion
Well, this bad old same day
Tell now, whiskey an' women, won't now
Let the ol' poorboy pray
Let the poorboy pray
Let the poorboy pray
She's all right, she's all right
She's all right, she's all right
I'm gonna say somethin' to you
I don't care how you feel
You just don't realize
You got yourself a good deal
She's nineteen years old
And got ways just like a baby child
Nothin' I can do to please her
To make this young woman feel satisfied
I'm gonna say this to you
I don't care if you get mad
You about the prettiest little girl
That I ever had
She's nineteen years old
And got ways just like a baby child
Nothin' I can do to please her
To make this young woman feel satisfied
(What kind of woman is that?)
Can't ask her where she's going
She tells me where she's been
She starts a conversation
That don't have no end
She's nineteen years old
And got ways just like a baby child
Nothin' I can do to please her
Whoah, yeah!
Whoah, yeah!
Whoah, yeah!
Why do men go crazy
When a woman wears her dress so tight?
Why do men go crazy
When a woman wears her dress so tight?
Well, it must be the same old thing
That makes a tomcat fight all night
Why do all of the men try to run
A big legged woman down?
Why do all of the men try to run
A big legged woman down?
Well, it must be the same old thing
That makes a bulldog love a hound
Well, it's the same thing
Well, it's the same old thing

Well, the whole world is a-fighting all about that same thing
What makes you feel so good
When your baby gets down her evening gown?

Chasin' rats all up and down the hall
The people they're talkin' about me and you

Walking down that old lonesome road?

Hush, ya'll hush, I heard little Anna Mae callin' my name
Well, you know that girl kind-a lisp-tongued, she can't
speak so doggone plain
Anna Mae, she's a good little girl, but, she loves to run
around at night
Anna Mae, she's a good little girl, but, she loves to run
around at night
Well, you know if I can get her mind on me, she'd be so
fit to treat me right.
Bye-bye, Anna Mae, I hope we'll meet again someday
Bye-bye, Anna Mae, I hope we'll meet again someday
Well, now you won't be so doggone evil, baby, you better
I got a kindhearted woman, do anything in this world for
I got a kindhearted woman, do anything in this world for
But these evil-hearted women, man, they will not let me
I love my baby, my baby don't love me
I love my baby, ooooh, my baby don't love me
But I really love that woman, can't stand to leave her be
Ain't but the one thing, makes Mister Johnson drink1
I's worried about2 how you treat me, baby, I begin to
think
Oh babe, my life don't feel the same
You breaks my heart, when you call Mister So-and-So's
name
She's a kindhearted woman, she studies evil all the time
She's a kindhearted woman, she studies evil all the time
I got the key to the highway,
Billed out and bound to go.
I'm gonna leave here running;
Walking is most too slow.
I'm going back to the border
Woman, where I'm better known.
You know you haven't done nothing,
Drove a good man away from home.
Live Verse: When the moon peeks over the mountains
I'll be on my way.
I'm gonna roam this old highway
Until the break of day.
Oh give me one, one more kiss mama
Just before I go,
'Cause when I leave this time you know I,
I won't be back no more.
First Verse
Mamie, don't you hear me call your name
Oh Mamie, don't you hear me calling your name
Well Mamie I wanna see you so bad little girl
Till I don't know what to do
Mamie, won't you please shake my hand
Oh Mamie, Mamie, won't you please shake my hand
Well I love you so hard Mamie
And you know I just can't explain
Mamie, won't you come and kiss me goodbye
Oh Mamie, Mamie, why don't you come and kiss me goodbye
Well you know I hate to see you leave me little girl
You know you gonna make me cry, [Incomprehensible]
Mamie, you got me down on my bended knees

Well little girl I hate to see you leave me, you hear me?
Have you ever been mistreated, and you know what I'm talkin' about
Have you ever been mistreated, and you know what I'm talkin' about
Now you know I work five long years for one woman,
she had the nerve to put me out
I finally learned a lesson, you know a long long time ago
I finally learned a lesson, you know a long long time ago
The next woman that I marry, she got to work and bring me some dough
Yes I been mistreated, you know what I'm talkin' about

See you watching me like a hawk
I don't mind the way you talk
But if you touch me somethin's got to give
I life the life I love and I love the life I live
So if you see me and think I'm wrong
Don't worry 'bout me just let me go
My sweet life ain't nothing but a thrill
I life the life I love and I love the life I live
My diamond ring and my money too
Tomorrow night could belong to you
The girls move me at their will
I life the life I love and I love the life I live
I may bet a thousand on a bet this time
One minute later I can't cover your dime
Tomorrow night I might be over the hill
I just want you to know baby the way I feel
You see me walkin' as I pass you by
Don't talk about me 'cause I could be high
Just forgive me if you will

Oh yeah, the woman she's livin' on a poor man's pay,
I bought my babe a mink coat,
with fur just to match her hair
When I asked her out for dinner,
she said, "Oh this is just common wear"
I work hard on two jobs,
and I make overtime every day
Oh, you know I got a, I got a rich man's woman,
but she's livin' on a poor man's pay
I bought my babe a Cadillac,
she said, "That's just a common gift"
When she passes me walkin' on the streets,
she refuse to give me a lift
I told you I work hard on two jobs,
and I make overtime every day
Oh, you know I got a, I got a rich man's woman,
but she's living on a poor man's pay
There ain't no use for you to argue,
just go ahead and let the girl have her way
Even if she's a rich man's woman,
and I know she's livin' on a poor man's pay
I told you I work hard on two jobs,
and I make overtime every day
Oh, you know I know I got myself a rich mans woman,
Got my mojo working, but it just won't work on you (x2)
I wanna love you so bad till I don't know what to do
