A quick look at my new Comp m2. Never owned an optic before so I decided to stop being an optic virgin and try something new other than irons. Gonna take it to the range to zero her.
The Aimpoint M68 Close Combat Optic (CCO) is a great red-dot reflex sight but BE CAREFUL TO TURN IT OFF SO YOU DON'T KILL ITS DL123 LITHIUM BATTERY! These are expensive batteries and you already have a plethora of batteries to keep charged to power your myriad of devices. One way to insure the CCO is off is by painting some marks on its on/off knob so there's no doubt as to its condition: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqkbAm_gY-8 There are even rechargeable Lithium-Ion (Li-ion "Lion") DL123 batteries available now! FYI, I was the USMC officer who lead that stodgy, known distance (KD) range outfit into 21st century reflex and night shooting by researching the U.S. Army Special Forces Son Tay POW camp rescue mission which used Swedish Aimpoiint sights: http://www.combatreform.o...
