Fire station 8 in West Hollywood empties for a fire call just a few blocks away: Light Force 8, Squad 8 and Engine 8 of the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) responding. Light Force 8 consists of Truck 8 - a tillered ladder quint - and Engine 208. Some firefighters were in a shop when the call came in so that they had to run back to the station.
Die komplette Feuerwache 8 in West Hollywood wird zu einem Feuer ein paar Straßenblöcke weiter alarmiert. Es rücken aus die Drehleiter, die beiden Löschfahrzeuge sowie die Rettungseinheit der Wache. Einige Feuerwehrmänner waren gerade beim Einkaufen als der Alarm reinkam, sie mussten zur Wache zurücksprinten.

Los Angeles County Fire Department Recruitment video recently found on VHS, unsure of the year this video was made but looks to be in the 1980's. Some of the original music that was used has been taken off the video due to copyright claims. New music was added so this video could still be shared as it is apart of history.

This is the station that was used to represent exterior shots of LACoFD Station 51 in the 1970s TV show Emergency! The interior of the station is nearly identical to how it was in the TV show, right down to the wooden cabinets in the changing room. I made a pilgrimage to L.A. during Labor Day weekend 2010 to see and pay homage to this station. The on-duty fire fighters were great -- they answered all my questions, and let me spend as long as I wanted in the station.

Hawthorne IC: a 3-alarm commercial structure fire in a 99 cent store at 11811 S. Hawthorne Blvd. the Los Angeles County Fire department responded and the first unit on scene found a 99 cent store with all patrons and employees evacuated with heavy smoke, a second alarm was called after 10 minutes and a third alarm was requested to relieve the firefighters on scene. the fire was contained to the 99 cent store and mezzanine storage area, the building did partially collapse. a knockdown was called at 7:03 p.m. A firefighter was injured with minor burns to the hand and was treated and released from the hospital.
the beginning of the video is all of the relevant radio chatter i heard while i was en route captured on my new dash cam.

i/lɒs ˈændʒəlᵻs/ loss AN-jə-ləs or loss AN-jə-liss) (Spanish for "The Angels"), officially the City of Los Angeles and often known by its initials L.A., is the second-largest city in the United States after New York City, the most populous city in the state of California, and the county seat of Los Angeles County.
Situated in Southern California, Los Angeles is known for its mediterranean climate, ethnic diversity, sprawling metropolis, and as a major center of the American entertainment industry. Los Angeles lies in a large coastal basin surrounded on three sides by mountains reaching up to and over 10,000 feet (3,000 m).
Historically home to the Chumash and Tongva, Los Angeles was claimed by Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo for Spain in 1542 along with the rest of what would become Alta California. The city was officially founded on September 4, 1781, by Spanish governor Felipe de Neve. It became a part of Mexico in 1821 following the Mexican War of Independence. In 1848, at the end of the Mexican–American War, Los Angeles and the rest of California were purchased as part of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, thereby becoming part of the United States. Los Angeles was incorporated as a municipality on April 4, 1850, five months before California achieved statehood. The city experienced rapid growth with the discovery of oil.

Fire department
A fire department (United States and Canada) or fire brigade (United Kingdom and Commonwealth) (also known as a fire and rescue service or simply fire service) is a public or private organization that provides predominantly emergency firefighting and rescue services for a certain jurisdiction, which is typically a municipality, county, or fire protection district. A fire department usually contains one or more fire stations within its boundaries, and may be staffed by career firefighters, volunteer firefighters, or a combination thereof (referred to as a combination department).
A fire department may also provide "fire protection" or fire prevention services, whereby firefighters visit homes and give fire safety advice and fit smoke alarms for members of the public. In many countries fire protection or prevention is seen as an important role for the fire service, as preventing a fire from occurring in the first place can save lives and property.

Fire station 8 in West Hollywood empties for a fire call just a few blocks away: Light Force 8, Squad 8 and Engine 8 of the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) responding. Light Force 8 consists of Truck 8 - a tillered ladder quint - and Engine 208. Some firefighters were in a shop when the call came in so that they had to run back to the station. Los Angeles County Fire Department Recruitment video recently found on VHS, unsure of the year this video was made but looks to be in the 1980's. Some of the original music that was used has been taken off the video due to copyright claims. New music was added so this video could still be shared as it is apart of history. Los Angeles County Fire Department Station 127 aka Emergency! Station 51
This is the station that was used to represent exterior shots of LACoFD Station 51 in the 1970s TV show Emergency! The interior of the station is nearly identical to how it was in the TV show, right down to the wooden cabinets in the changing room. I made a pilgrimage to L.A. during Labor Day weekend 2010 to see and pay homage to this station. The on-duty fire fighters were great -- they answered all my questions, and let me spend as long as I wanted in the station.

Hawthorne IC (LACoFD 3-alarm fire) 5/27/2016
Hawthorne IC: a 3-alarm commercial structure fire in a 99 cent store at 11811 S. Hawthorne Blvd. the Los Angeles County Fire department responded and the first unit on scene found a 99 cent store with all patrons and employees evacuated with heavy smoke, a second alarm was called after 10 minutes and a third alarm was requested to relieve the firefighters on scene. the fire was contained to the 99 cent store and mezzanine storage area, the building did partially collapse. a knockdown was called at 7:03 p.m. A firefighter was injured with minor burns to the hand and was treated and released from the hospital. the beginning of the video is all of the relevant radio chatter i heard while i was en route captured on my new dash cam.

Everything in Hollywood is different, including a cemetery of the famous. Even in the funeral hall, with its larger-than-life religious figures, it is as though it is all part of a fantastic film set.
Universal Studios is the largest and most active film and television studio in the world as well as a popular family day out, being one of the most successful amusement parks in the U.S.A. and its many famous film sets are instantly recognizable.
Since its opening in 1955, Disneyland has become a worldwide phenomenon. The world's original and longest surviving theme park provides an enchanting mix of shows, attractions and well known cartoon characters and the journey through Toontown on its bumpy tramway is a stimulating experience for both young and old.
At weekends, those who want to see but, above all, be seen, make for Venice Beach. The sandy beach is relaxing and its many pavements are popular with joggers and roller skaters alike. Even by Los Angeles standards, the performers on Muscle Beach are quite outrageous and while some body-builders lift thousands of kilos, others shamelessly display their supreme egos by strutting like conceited peacocks!
Built in 1908, Santa Monica Pier is reminiscent of the hazy lazy seaside resorts of the 1920s. Extending into the water some 300 metres, the pier's amusement park is constantly bursting with life, with its big wheel, swings and richly- decorated carousel.
Once the most celebrated residential area of the rich and famous, today Sunset Boulevard is a busy main traffic artery. At night, when brash neon signs shine out their colorful animated messages, this famous boulevard still possesses a unique atmosphere.

The Los Angeles Fire Department has it origins in the year 1871. In September of that year, George M. Fall, the County Clerk for Los Angeles County organized Engine Company No. 1. It was a volunteer firefighting force with an Amoskeag fire engine and a hose jumper (cart). The equipment was hand-drawn to fires. In the spring of 1874, the fire company asked the Los Angeles City Council to purchase horses to pull the engine. The Council refused and the fire company disbanded.
Many of the former members of Engine Company No. 1 reorganized under the name of Thirty-Eights No. 1 in May 1875, Engine Co. No. 2 was organized under the name Confidence Engine Company.
Los Angeles acquired its first "hook and ladder" truck for the Thirty-Eights. It proved to be too cumbersome and was ill-adapted to the needs of the city. It was sold to the city of Wilmington. In 1876, another "hook and ladder" truck was purchased, serving in the city until 1881.
In 1878, a third fire company was formed by the residents in the neighborhood of Sixth Street and Park. It was given the name of "Park Hose Co. No. 1". East Los Angeles formed a hose company named "East Los Angeles Hose Co. No. 2" five years later. The final volunteer company was formed in the fall of 1883 in the Morris Vineyard area. This company was called "Morris Vineyard Hose Co. No.3."
All of these companies remained in service until February 1, 1886, when the present paid fire department came into existence.
In 1877, the first horses were bought for the city fire department. The department would continue to use horses for its equipment for almost fifty years, phasing out the last horse drawn equipment on July 19, 1921.
By 1900, the Department had grown to 18 fire stations with 123 full-time paid firefighters and 80 fire horses.[13] The city had also installed 194 fire-alarm boxes allowing citizens to sound the alarm if a fire was spotted. 660 fire hydrants were placed throughout the city, giving firefighters access to a reliable water source.
In 1955 Station 78 in Studio City became the first racially integrated station in the department.
In 2007, LAFD had nearly 3,600 uniformed personnel operating from 106 fire stations who offer fire prevention, firefighting, emergency medical care, technical rescue, hazardous materials mitigation, disaster response, public education and community service to a resident population of more than 4 million people who live in the agency's 471 square mile (1,220 km²) jurisdiction...

The LSPD First Response Modification (LSPDFR) is a police simulation modification (mod) for the PC version of Grand
Theft Auto V which transforms the game into a law enforcement simulation where you can conduct traffic stops, engage
in high speed pursuits, respond to callouts and enforce the law as you see fit.
The following are required to run the LCPDFR Modification:
• A genuine, working Microsoft Windows (PC) platform copy of Grand Theft Auto V.
• The RAGE Plugin Hook for GTA V, and its dependencies (all of which are included).
• Version 4.5 of Microsoft’s .Net Framework
LSPDFR heavily modifies the game far beyond its original purpose or scope. As such, it can conflict with the game
and cause occasional failures and errors. Such errors will not have any lasting effect on the modification or the game,
however they may result in crashes, freezes or the current session becoming unplayable. Note that LSPDFR does
not currently support any form of multiplayer gameplay.
The first public release of LSPDFR lays down a basic framework upon which the modification will be developed. Still,
it contains a number of interesting features - many of which will be easily recognizable by anyone who played its sister
modification, LCPDFR for GTA IV.
